🙋🏻♀️Hello from Northern California! Can I start out by saying that if YOU TUBE had a cutest couple award...I vote for the two of you!🔥
I’m planning on selling my house here in California because the property taxes are off the chain, I’m single and my last child ( my daughter) is working on her requirements to apply for Med School.
I feel like mama deserves to have some fun and adventures!
I just subscribed and I’m going to be binge watching all your videos and talking notes!😂
I certainly am looking forward to your video which will have your interview with your realtor!
I probably have subscribed to at least (20-30) different ExPats who’ve moved from either the USA or Canada....and you guys two cutie pies are my favorites!!!! I bet you’re YOU TUBE channel is going to BLOW UP! You’ve got the sweetest personalities, hysterical, interesting and intelligent!💯🔥
All love, prayers and joy to the both of you🙏🏼🥰
Aw thanks so much!! And we’re looking forward to chatting with Edna this week as well - if all goes well it’ll be up for our Thurs video!
My 10yo daughter requires that I play your videos in the background while she builds her gingerbread house, colors, etc... she loves you guys!
Haha that’s hilarious! So glad she enjoys them - and tell her good luck on that gingerbread house!
@@TravelWTravis she’s screaming because you responded :) we just spent the month of Nov in Merida. Moving there is the plan. We love your witty banter and chemistry❤️❤️
I love y'all!
Haha we love YOU! We fully went to the dentist you posted about this morning and he was amazing so thank you!!
How did you guys become one of my fav channels so quickly?! I love every single one of your videos and I'm happy you're enjoying your time here :)
We’re so glad! Thanks so much for watching!!
whenever i watch your videos i always get a smile on my face😊
Aw thanks Althea!
You guys are awesome! Love your positive vibes and energy, so refreshing! The information you give about Merida and the surrounding area is very informative as well, thank you!
Oh, thanks so much for the kind words Megan!! We so appreciate you watching!
I love that you guys are vegan! My husband and I have been vegan for 7 years now and I always thought that would be an obstacle of living in Mexico, but it looks like you're doing it. Great for you guys!
Yeah - we were surprised how many options there were here, especially with Merida not being as touristy as Cancun. Unfortunately a lot of them have shut down due to Covid, but we’re 🤞they come back when it’s all over
Glad you stayed strong and are supporting local vegan restaurants there 👍🏽
Us too!!
Caffeiños! Let us know your favorite vegan/vegetarian spots in Merida (or anywhere in Mexico - we're keeping a list for when we start exploring other cities!)
wow I'm not vegan but all those meals looking amazing, especially the pizza and delivered food.....mmmmm
Hey guys. I live in Merida ( from LA) and am vegan. I find it pretty easy. I’ve been here for 6 years but vegan for about 2 1/2 years. I cook my own foods but there are other options. Ya’axtal is a great store to shop at. Glad you found Monique’s. It’s delicious. There is also Avocado restaurant. Fitorade is great too!! In normal times there are a few vegan fairs a year. They are fantastic. Stay vegan. You can do it!! Love your videos!!
Oh thanks so much - we haven’t heard of Ya’axtal so we’ll definitely check that out!! Thanks again for watching!!
There are 2 Ya’axtal stores. One on Paseo de Montejo and the other one is here in the north end in Temazon. This one is next to a lovely healthy cafe called la libertad. You can order take out and possibly eat outside.
@@dhbloom Ooo - nice! We actually went to the Ya'axtal by Paseo yesterday (because we happened to be around the corner and knew of it thanks to your rec!) so we'll definitely check out the one in the north soon!
1K!!! Congratulations guys and this was a great video!
Thanks guys!!
You guys warm my heart. Love your videos.
Tu Aprepa La Carranza has amazing vegan arepas. Black beans, sweet plantains and avocado. Delish!
Pita Mediterranean has a solid falafel sandwich in the fluffiest pita 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Omg Pita Mediterranean was actually the first place we ate in Merida! It was deliiiish
Thank you, we have been plant based fir about 4 months and just left visiting down there in Merida and completely fell off the wagon. So now we have some good ideas for when we come back in March
Haha yeah it’s tough with all those smells! But there are definitely options!
Thank you so much for posting information about being vegan in Mexico. I am just beginning my research on what this will look like as my husband and I are relocating to the Yucatan area in October. I am a plant based nutritionist so trying to gather as much info on some good eating! So enjoyed your energy!
That pizza is to die for! All the vegan food needs to be checked out.🍕🥘🥗
Delisioso beside muy bueno
Another great video, guys! The meal plan really is a great way to add to the variety of your meals. Plus there's no waste because you didn't have to buy a ton of groceries. i thought all of the food looked really appetizing. I think that once you get to know all of the amazing vegetables and fruits available in Mexico, your repertoire of recipes will grow exponentially.
You had me at VEGAN! Subscribed! 👍
I am going to need a gym when I arrive next year. All my Merida & Mexican vloggers have been showing up with great looking food lately. Your vegan meals looked so delicious. When I see someone dancing over food, I know it good, LOL!
Haha my shoulders couldn't HELP themselves!
Wow, comment from previous video answered. Great job, guys.
Omg! I just tried ChangoMango in the area Campestre and it was awesome!!! Totally recommend!
You, guys, are AMAZING! you are a real inspiration. And.. my bf and me are going to Merida to see the properties, because of you!
Hola! I appreciate you two. I live in San Miguel de Allende but you are inspiring me to visit Mérida.
Oh we can't wait to visit out there - we've heard amazing things!
This has soo many gems! I need to try the vegan pizza when I get there!
It was *deliiiiicious* - we didn’t mention it but it was on a sourdough crust 😍⚰️
I love the name of your channel 😂💗
Yaaaaas! Love your videos!
Omg, this had me drooling. I can't believe the amazing food you get for pennies. I'd be concerned about recycling all that packaging. Hopefully the will come up with something more sustainable. Great video, now I'm hungry.💖
Haha it’s amazing, right?? And since they video they actually started using reusable containers - so no more waste!
This place is vegetarian and really good. Pitagoras-Restaurante Y Cafeteria Vegetariano
With all the fruits and vegetables, Fresh and ripe, available throughout México IT IS very easy to be vegan IF YOU COOK AND PREPARE YOUR MEALS. However, if you want to go out, you'll have limited offerings so far unless you learn Spanish so you can ask restaurants to make substitutions on their menu for you.
Congrats on the 1000 subs! Well deserved - you guys are awesome!
If you every visit Mexico city, Vegamo Mx is amazing. We also loved Capuchino Cafe in La Paz.
Oh thanks for the rec! Adding them to our list now!!
Love the vids guys! Glad you’ve found your groove! 👍🏽
Thanks Mitchell!
🍇 Aura surrounding your videos is 🎇🎆✨ Well done fam 🤗
Thanks so much!
Hi boys! I feel guilty because I’ve been working and haven’t been watching! Love the content!! 😘😘
Great new channel!
cool vid!!
Looks yummy! I would definitely say I’ve gotten into ruts with cooking since we’ve (mostly) been vegan as well. At first, I was trying new recipes and buying new cookbooks all the time, but after a while, you start to do what’s easiest and less time consuming! Glad you’ve found great (and affordable!) options!
Right? It's super easy to just be like "should we have veggie tacos? or pasta? or tacos? or pasta?" This is definitely helping us mix it up!
You guys are awesome. The vegan food looked amazing. Thanks for sharing your journey in Merida.
Hasta el proximo Jueves.
Johnny and Johann/ Los Angeles 🙆♂️👍😎
Great video. Delicious vegan meals.
Love this guys!!!!!
Thanks Crystal!
Great video tour! I'm in Cancun right now, lot's of vegan fajitas can be requested with real veggies.
Oooo amazing!
thank you for this! i just got here and was struggling to find vegetarian options
You're so welcome! And definitely give Fitorade a try if you're looking for a meal delivery service - they're amazing!
Your video was “ muy bueno! “
You guys are so cute. I feel like I know y'all. Can't wait to see more from Merida.
Aw thanks so much for watching!
Nice video.
Omg you guys love to eat. Wish I was there.
Great video! I'm vegan as well good to know they have vegan there
I recently discovered your channel. I am hooked!. I love your videos, the places you visit, your input, your sense of humor and the dishes you share with your audience. May I ask you guys why you decided to go vegan, ethical, environmental, health reasons, all of the above? 🤩
Wonderful - thanks for all those compliments! And I went vegan mostly because it felt better at first, but definitely happy it's helpful for the environment (and animals!) too!
Thanks for the vegan info. I haven't eaten out since last March and that was in Lo Que Hay which I'm sure you've heard of. I've also been thinking about digressing from my vegan regimen just so I can go out to eat once in a while. I think seafood might be a way to go. What do you think?
You can also say,
Delicioso or Sabroso
To describe how good your food is.
Oh yes! David is adding those to his vocabulary now!
@@TravelWTravis Also you can say 'muy rico' 'muy rica la comida'
Hey! I’m vegan and was worried that when i go back to merida I won’t have many options. Thanks for the video:) by the way panuchos and salubres are very popular there, I always eat them without the shredded chicken/turkey and they are delicious. Just make sure you find out there isn’t any hidden lard in the beans or tortillas
Oh wonderful - thanks for the tip!!!
I'm glad you found that delivery, cause Mexico is not that good in prepared vegan foods, as a non-vegan with vegan friends I know they struggle a lot and have to prepare their own foods
Us too - it feels magical!
Love Slow Foods Market. I loved LoQueHay Cafe a lot, but they are still closed.
I know - we read so many good things about it and then were bummed to find out we couldn’t go!
yay! so glad you are continuing on your plant based food journey!
Thanks Diane!
Did you two visit Merida before moving there?
We didn't, actually - although we'd highly recommend it if you're considering relocating!
Please do more vegan content!!!
Oh we are! We have tons up on our channel (reviewing the different vegan spots in all the cities we've been to) and will continue eating our way through everywhere we go!
Hey… love you guys! I’m going to La Paz soon. Have you ever eaten vegan there?
Oh awesome - we haven’t been yet so you’ll have to tell us what spots we should hit when we do!
Will do!
How likely are you to find non-dairy substitutes like milk and yogurt?
Way easier than we thought! There's Silk Soy + Almond milk at almost every grocery store, and Silk soy yogurt is available at Walmart as well.
Thank you for answering and even more thanks for the videos! Favorite hosts yet! 😍
You guys always look happy, and it’s cause you don’t have to deal with a woman experiencing menopause. 😂😂😂🧨
What is vegan parm made of?
We're not sure - maybe a combination of nutritional yeast and spices? (There were no ingredients on the label.) Whatever it is, it's delicious. (i.e. muy bueno 🤦♂️)
COMPRA LAS PLANTITAS
hahaha SIIIIII
Thanks for the wonderful recommendations! But omg the plastic containers that to-go food comes in hurts my heart! Our planet is drowning in plastic....
Since we made this video they've switched to reusable containers!
@@TravelWTravis such good news! and your videos are just so happy and fun... keep it up!
I hope so. We hope to retire there in 3 years.
I always see street food like grilled corn on the cob, fresh chopped fruits, guacamole, etc.
Sounds like you may be on a plant based diet and not Vegan ? Veganism is a lifestyle and all about the animals and their torture and murder and living a lifestyle where we refuse to fund that unnecessarily 3 times a day. It is not about health or taking a break. Earthling Ed, Joey Carbstrong, James Aspey....some great Vegan youtubers if you want to learn more.
I went Vegan at 55, four years almost. Only wish I had done it sooner. I love animals and you can’t love animals...if you eat them.
