How do you avoid root rot? Shouldn’t you put some holes in the bottom of the pot so that the excess water can drain off?
Pots should come with holes at the bottom already.

New plants in tiny nursery pots will dry up & die even if we water them in Spring or Autumn if we didn't repot them into bigger pots & with more suitable soil.

As a brit, I find it somewhat bizarre that the ONLY person that TWP could find in the entire USA to be the gardening expert is a strange, stereotypical and somewhat awkward Brit! Whats wrong? Are all American gardeners/horticulturalists working on golfing greens?
I moved around some plants outside that's in the ground; and they are dying; unsure how to fix.. suggestions please.
They will come back just continue to water and feed. Give them time, they have to adjust to their new home.
