I have a lot of vintage Native American jewelry, especially navajo, been wearing it since I was a teen. I have some really old stuff that my grandfather bought in his travels, and a lot that I’ve picked up myself over the years. My favorite piece a friend found when ripping cabinetry out of an old house, it was wedged between the wall and the back of a cabinet, the silver totally black with tarnish. I had it appraised and was told it was navajo, pre 1920. It became my most favorite piece. Can’t even begin to describe to you the LOVE I had for this ring. Anyway, about 5 years ago, I left it next to the kitchen sink and one of the cats knocked it into the sink, into the garbage disposal. You can guess the rest. I was sick over it, would have rather seen my diamonds go in that garbage disposal. Anyway, the ring band is so thick that the ring was not completely mangled - and right before the quarantine started, I finally found a navajo jewelry dealer out west who has a navajo silversmith who thinks he can restore it. As soon as this mess is over, I’m going to send it to them...can’t wait to get it back.
Awesome, I loved this video. Thank you for sharing your remakes, they turned out fabulous. 😊💕
I love seeing your creativity in repurposing the jewelry pieces into one gorgeous piece....I need that amber piece! Keep filming those videos, please! You are very talented!
jellygirl43 Thanks for the support! 🥰 I’ve got a handful in the works right now! Looking forward to sharing more design based videos 😄
I love the repurposed jewelry! You did such a great job. Your personal collection is, of course, lovely too.
I hope the repurposing of jewelry pieces will become a regular thing on your channel, I LOVE seeing the amazing things you create, it's so inspiring!
Love the Amber necklace! Amazing talent you have!
Love it all. You are very talented ❤
Hi Laura! The first onyx necklace you showed isn’t French (can’t tell if you said French or fringe) . That’s a piece from Afghanistan 😊 That’s a classic Afghan design. I’m from Afghanistan and I sell Afghan jewelry. I also have one exactly like it ❤️
Love your style!
If am given a chance to spend a night in your house... Am sure I will end up in prison 😴😴... Beautiful collection... Très originale...merci beaucoup pour partager. Lots of love from France. 💕
Ronnie Lola 😂🤷🏻♀️ Love to France!! 😘
You are so creative, interesting and articulate. I love listening to you. Your enthusiasm, joy and passion are very evident in this post. Your creations are lovely and very inspiring to those of us who have lots of jewelry in need of repurposing.
Nancy Pacitto Thank you so much for the sweet words Nancy! 💙
Laura you are quite a good artist. I love the "recycled" pieces you created, you have such a good eye. They are truly unique pieces. 🦁
Jacqueline 444 Thanks!! 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful jewelry making process!!! Love you and your channel 😘🥰please take care and stay safe and healthy!!!💕💗
Hi Laura, so happy that you now have your own channel. You and Selena are my top favorite UA-camrs. Keep up the good work love watching u guys. Question: where do you buy the tools and pieces to fix the jewelry? I have many broken necklaces n missing earrings that would love to fix. Take care be safe!!
Celia G. My tools were actually a gift but I believe they were purchased as a kit from Michaels 🙌
Laura can you share how to shop on craigslist/FB for mid century, how to decorate walls, top 10 tips on how to make home mid century, furniture talk, plants (including what plants and how to install) etc? loveeeeee your style so hard !!
Sara J Several of those are in the works! 🙌😄
Yay Laura!! You did a beautiful job with re purposing those necklaces! Here's a tip for that one with the blue beads: just remove the dangle piece with the shoe clips and keep that small dangle with that pretty silver bead. Sometimes less is more ;-) I used to make jewelry (silver wire work) 20 years ago, and I miss it so much! My hands are busy being a massage therapist now, which I love. Stay well! Much love!
Laurielalalaurie Magic hands! Being a massage therapist is an incredible talent! 👏 Not a bad suggestion at all in regards to the blue necklace! 💙
I agree! I used to design repurposed jewelry as well. It's how I started my collection (p.s. I have a YT channel on that) ~D
Wow! Really loved the necklaces you made......so beautiful. My favorite is the one with the steer head and I don't even wear jewelry! Your face is so lit up from within that you look radiant. You have plenty of years to sell your things so if you are the least bit hesitant to sell a piece than you should keep it as there is always tomorrow.. Great video--can't wait to see what else is coming. You are a multi-talented lady so your channel will be very exciting. TFS
Linda Hill Thanks Linda! That steer one is such a cutie! I had a very proud moment after making that one 😂 🐮 I really appreciate the support and encouragement! I’ve got some fun decorating episodes in the works! ☺️
GREAT VIDEO!!!! I love jewelry and I have never watched a video that was so mesmerizing as this one. Beautiful jewelry and your presentation was outstanding. Thank you so much. We need more talented people like yourself, that can talk about jewelry, clothes, crafts, etc. Again, thank you for your video!!!!
Loved every single piece from your collection...especially the ceramic piece ! I think you should keep the turquoise pendant it’s so beautiful...! I really enjoyed this video so much! 👍🥰😘
Zenaida Amaral I think you are right! 💙 I’m going to keep it. At least for a while! 😄
This video has now inspired me to go through my bits and pieces and revamp some jewelry. I always have a difficult time throwing broken pieces away, and also have some vintage costume pieces that belonged to my grandparents. Never thought to use pins on purses or wallets, my Grandfathers tie tacks may be nice for that.... You have such a good eye, a true designer...
Don't ever sell anything you love.
Laura don’t sell that piece put it on a different collar please. Can tell you really like it.
I cant believe what an artist you are! Of course I knew you had taste, but to design jewerly!!!! I love EVERYTHING you designed. Maybe....you found your calling....but dont stop antiquing with Selena Please!
So glad you are re-purposing single earrings - inspiring! These might otherwise end up in landfill due to popular aversion to wear "mismatched" pairs, but if you stick to one metal theme and a limited palette of stones and motifs it really works! Good eye Laura!
Lovely to watch so refreshing and exciting. My mind has become full of ideas for all the broken jewellery I have and your tastes in Jewellery are so very much like mine. When someone says a piece of vintage antique jewellery is worn or needs attention I never like to do to much as I think that every piece has it's own story but that is one thing I would love to know more about. Thank you sweet lady xxxx
Great video Laura. You are a breath of fresh air to watch. What an amazing collection of beautiful sparkles. I have been hitting eBay quite a bit too. Got some lovely vintage pieces to add to my own collection. 'YAY' for eBay! Stay safe 😷 Stay happy! ✌ 💚 xx
I am so glad I cam across your channel. I am amazed by your creativity. Such beautiful jewelry!
Best video I’ve ever watched! Loved your personal collection and your creativity!!
Hey LAura- Congrats on launching your own UA-cam site and Happy Birthday! By the way, your cool style and eye for home decorating is amazing. You are also looking healthy and happy!!! Big fan from Calgary Alberta
I just found yours and Selena's channel! Your videos are a thrift/vintage shopper's dream!!
The chain you called a big chunky chain is a watch fob to hang a pocket watch on. The6 are kind of rare so keep that in mind. It might actually be a precious medal too. I love what you make & you’re style. I have a tassel fetish too!
Some ladies are going to be happy with those styled pieces Laura|!! Great creative work!!
Wow!
Great video!
Loved all the neckleses you created!
And your own jewerly collection!!!
Wish we had real south west jewerly here in ireland but sadly not!!!
So i love to live true other peoples!!!
I am an admirer of silver/turquoise jewelry, esp. vintage styles.
The chunky chain is a watch fob!!! For a pocket man's watch!!! Should be an antique!!!
Keep it; you’ll regret selling it.
Oh how I need to thrift!!! I may take my not so loved jewelry and breaking it apart to make new. Laura, Laura, Laura!!! I never knew white turquoise existed. It is so gorgeous. Could not take my eyes off that ring. Never let that one go.
Sharon Finney It’s called White Buffalo Turquoise, forgot your mention that part in the video 😄 Spendy! But so beautiful!!
Smfoing back to the first video I could find. Love your channel ❣️
The Amber necklace you created is beautiful💜😊
I am always staring at your white turquoise ring. It is beautiful. Wish it was mine. Love all your jewelry!
I love pins!!! Pick more pins and add them to the shop because I’m always looking for cute pins! They really dress up my bags and jean jackets and now even my face mask for work!!
I didn't read all the comments but in case no one told you The bull with the ring on it is a charm holder. One side opens so you can slip a bunch of charms on it. The chunky chain that you thought was a bracelet is an older watch chain. It may have been made into a bracelet at some point. Great video!
You do wonderful job at jewelry design Laura. Thanks for sharing.
I make jewelry and now am feeling super inspired! Thanks for a wonderful video!!
the gold thing you thought was a bracelet, is a watch fob. The necklace you made from it turned out really cool!
Nice idea to make a new piece of jewellery out of a bunch of single pieces. Good job!😉
You have wonderful creativity. Love your creations. 👏👏
Love your collection and the way you displayed it on the tumb nail with the cactus and everything 😍
You should make video more often Laura..this is so much fun to watch🤩
Fun to see all your jewelry. Thanks for including your created pieces.
Love you much and your videos are awesome. So happy your channel is up and running.
The turquoise squash blossom earrings...wow! Love them! And the wallet with the roadrunner pin...now I am going to look at my jewelry and see what I can pin to various small wallets and purses! My favorite necklaces were the amber necklace and the one with the steer's head and turquoise stones. But really, they were all wonderful.
And....I love the bracelets. You can never have nor wear too many awesome bracelets!
Awesome the way that you figure out how to do all that and your personal jewelry is beautiful
The chunky turquoise bracelet is so beautiful it is delicious...
At last!
May Sir God always bless you ! Love your jewelry collection!
You have such great taste in decor and in jewelry! I love your style!
Love that you have your own channel now Laura as well as the Recycled Life. Love watching both channels as well as Selena’s Vintage Bombshell channel. I have three favourite channels now 😊 Was so interesting to watch your design process and I love that these old single earrings don’t go to waste.

sassyripleyful haha Thanks girl!! So pumped to make more videos and share more! 😆
I repurpose broken jewelry too but I always keep them to myself because my family and most of my friends think they are junk and they would be surprised that I keep them. They haven't seen my designs but because of you, I started posting them. They are not as good as yours but you really inspired me to get out of my shell. Thank you. ❤
That’s wonderful!! It’s always good to be creative 💙 I bet they’re fabulous 😘

Karen Williams Thanks Karen! That wallet was such a great Goodwill score! Normal sized but so much room in it too 😄
The work is beautiful and often totally unique and unexpected. Keep at it. You have a gift.

That was such a treat!!! Love your vintage jewelry ❤️
You have just inspired me to repurpose my single earrings.
Each one of those pieces is fantastic!
Omg so ready. Would love to know how to tell if something is real sterling silver or turquoise.
Krys_tal 😆😘
It's absolutely amazing. both your collection and the pieces you created. You are so talented
Thank you so much 🥰 I’ve always loved making jewelry and have never had the time. Finding all the blessings in this crazy time. 💙
Always look for stamps first! The more you see the real thing the easier it gets to spot it. Try going to antique shops (when it’s safe again) and touching pieces to see what real stones feel like.
This video was so cool, colourful and fun! I'm very excited about your new channel, Laura! Greetings from an Argentinean in Galicia, Spain
Mariana Caffaro Wood Thanks for the support! 💙 I’m hard at work on a few fun decorating videos now 😄
You are DA BEST lady Laura .... wish you all the BEST and a Crying Baby 👶 🍼 sooooon .... 😍😍❤️🌹🍼👶👶👶🍼🍼🍼🍼
Enjoyed watching you put together some new pieces. The end preview was great. I bought two.😊 I'll be looking forward to your next video. Keep smiling.😂
Loved all the pieces in your collection Laura you have a good eye for fashion like your style. From a fan of the recycled life. Xxx😉

neckless. God bless
I enjoy this UA-cam so much!!! You have such a wonderful gift! Thank you Laura for making my life brighter. Blessings from Roseburg.
Love the Norwegian cuff you found on your junk jaunt. And the amber and silver lavalier you constructed is stunning!!
M Wallace Thanks! That was a fun one to make because it didn’t turn out like I had planned but I loved it more in the end. Not making the same mistake twice with the cuff from Norway! #keeper 😄
Keep it! It would look gorgeous on a black leather choker!
Love that idea!
Love your collection...And I’m excited about your new channel. One slight change you might make on the necklace that has the large buckle hanging way down...the bracelet that makes the long drop..fold it in half (like it’s still a bracelet) and then it will be closer up to the top part of the necklace...just a thought..that way it will rest bosom level..but you are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING... and like I said earlier SO EXCITED ABOUT YOUR CHANNEL..CANT WAIT FOR WHATS COMING...🦚🦚🦚
Loooove the pewter 😍 and the repurposed 👏🏼 Been doing repurposed my self for 35+ years just for the joy of it ( and of course selling stuff!)
So inspired now, but it's gardening season so it has to kind of brew till fall 🙏🏼🙋🏼😘
And it's never too much when it comes to... Unique beautiful jewelry... Even if you don't put makeup... A statement jewellery does it for you.
I love your cactus 🌵 jewelry holder. So pretty.
I recently broke it 😭 Hoping I can get it soldered back together. I’ve never seen another one like it.
OMG 😱, I love ur road runner pin...and upcycling jewelry parts is such a nice meditation 💆🏻♀️th belt buckles necklace is devine...I’m curious how do u store ur large vintage jewelry pieces?
Where do you take your sterling for repair? My favorite antique ring broke into 2 pieces on Easter while I was cooking.
Such a good eye you have to create beautiful pieces from broken/missing ones.
I have the same exact roadrunner pin. I got it in Arizona at a road side Indian stand in 2001. Love it. Will never part with it. Have a great day.
