You my dear have a great eye. I learn so much from watching your videos. You’re naturally gifted when it comes to decorating and styling. Thanks to you I’ve fallen back in love with turquoise and silver.
I do tapestry and can tell you that aside from the hundreds of unpaid hours it takes to do hand embroidery, the cost of the yarns is probably four times the cost of the cushions. Now the impressive part, the needle pointer did two identical pieces. I would never have the patience to repeat the pattern so to you Laura, congratulations on a great purchase. The sewer will be so glad they are in a good home.
New viewer here! Thanks for spotlighting Riverside! I’m in Maine but my mom grew up near Riverside so I heard lots of stories about the area. Your positivity and creativity are terrific! I think you are the only reseller I follow that shows your reclaimed treasures as home decor and I LOVE it! Looking forward to your future videos!
I worked at Las Campanas, the Mexican restaurant you went to at the Mission Inn over 15 years ago when I was in college! The Inn is such a special place and it was fun to explore all the nooks and crannies when I worked there. They even have underground tunnels and “catacombs” where there was so much old stuff stored. Every US president has stayed there and lots of old movie stars eloped there too! So much interesting history, definitely worth a visit.
I now COMPLETELY understand why Riverside is epic for antiques now. I have to stop by when I finally head to the Palm Springs area!! YOUR FINDS WERE EPIC LAURA!
So nice to my little town get some love! It's hard to believe that in the late 80's the Mission Inn was boarded up and was going to be demolished! You should really come at Christmas if you love vintage Christmas decor, it's beautiful!
I wish your videos were longer. Or split into more videos. I love how you incorporate nature into your videos. Even your food viewing draws us into the experience. For those who can’t travel, your videos are fab! And I wait excited for the next! Take care and love and blessings to you and your family.
Laura @23:48 when you were standing in front of your beautiful blue wall, your top and the blue in the wallpaper made your eyes so blue! 💙 it is definitely your color, girl you look gorgeous! 😍
I thrift on Riverside often and have been to all the shops you went to! Crazy to see it on here. If you really want someone to go get you on of those Syrian pieces I would be happy to try to get a deal for you and ship it to you.
I absolutely love your videos, I’m in the UK so it’s great seeing the USA as I have only ever been to Florida, you have got me buying Bitossi , Lisa Larson, Kosta Boda and the Justine Blakeney books and much more Thank you for everything you do it’s fantastic watching your UA-cam thanks for sharing.
Your welcome and I’m looking forward to your house renovations and cooking videos, I love the cats I have 3 house cats all female which rule my household 😂
So many places in California have such an international feel. I love seeing all the things you share while you are traveling. I love the pieces you picked up. I marvel at what we all learn from George the Antique Nomad! Can’t wait to see what you send us from your trip to Europe! 💚💚💚
Laura, you by far, have the best channel on UA-cam!!! If you would have heard my gasping and groaning and screaming over that first shop you were at, you would have been scared! LOL
Wow! I grew up in West LA and had no idea how cool Riverside is and will definitely check out on my next trip out there! Love your videos and because of you I bought my first Bitossi vase at Alameda Flea Market in Bay Area last month!!
This is amazing that you visited our beautiful city of Riverside, CA! If you loved the trees lit up with lights imagine it now with the millions of Chris lights surrounding the Mission Inn!!! We visit the 3 story antique shop to get their hot chocolate and tamales during the holiday season.
The Mission Inn was stunning against the concrete jungle in the background! Quite a contrast! Yes,the Antique Nomad is a walking encyclopedia....I've learned a lot from him as well! 👍💗
Ha!!! I live about 50 miles from the city of Riverside...actually Riverside County. Another town for vintage shopping is Temecula...I know you'd love this city 💜💙💚💛🧡
I used to have the Martisha Adams style chair during my first marriage. Had big wicker type fans on the wall on both sides of the chair. I remember the big ceramic ashtrays, since my mom smoked. We even had an ashtray with a metal type of stand the ash trays would fit in. I guess you could repurpose the ash trays into incense holders.
Hello, I am in the IE and have stayed at the Mission Inn several times. Love that area, have been to the big antique store. Glad you discovered Riverside.
Sad that there was only the Bitossi lid! I'd think about having it drilled, adding just brass dots, and making a mini-clock out of it. But then, of course! I'd find the bowl missing the lid! Is it this? Rimini Blue Aldo Londi bowl and ( missing 🤣) lid? Loved the Italian Savanarola chair at 23:29. Thanks. Laura! 🌿🌸🌿
Your kitchen ceiling is stunning! I love the art piece too, glad you got it; hope someone gets a lovely Syrian enamel piece for you. There’s great stuff in those shops!
Love this video one of your best isn't George wonderful I love the picture you got I'm so glad you got it and the signed pot Good trip I have been to California A lot of good shops I did not antique shop when I was there good video as always
The lamps that were in my first house in 1967 frequently pop into my mind. My Mother in-law purchased them. As young as I was I knew they were nicer than most of our other new furniture. I do always look for them here in Portland. Never have seen one and there was.one in the Hologram House ! Also an.Asian couple that will be at the NW Largest Garden and Vintage Sale this month. What a fun for me video.
I just recently discovered your UA-cam videos and I am having a blast watching them. I’m keeping a list of the stores you went to in Riverside. It will be fun to take a vacation and do nothing but thifting!! Happy shopping.
Wow - what a trip! Saw so many unique pieces, from jewelry to furniture. Liked the wooden switchplate cover at 7:13 - have not seen any before this. I thought some of the booths would benefit from a "Laura styling" - you have such a magical way of displaying your pieces/finds when you get them home. The owl squash blossom set caught my eye 13:25, then I spied the matching ring in the tray of rings, too - cute! "...create your own individual style, one piece at a time." Like these words.
The cloth animal painting you have in your studio 17:26 is Korhogo Cloth, Senufo, circa: 1950s - '60s from the Ivory Coast. Some of the animals depicted in the print symbolize the following: Guinea fowl: feminine beauty Chicken: Maternity Goat: Male prowess
I am so glad you bought those cushions ! I know I am out of touch with prices these days, but I was recently taken aback by the cost of made in China pillows on Wayfair! Those needlepoint pillows seem so reasonable in comparison.
Loved it all! What a great time! You found so many goodies! Can’t wait for the European trip too! Thank you and Jessie for sharing with all of us! Enjoy! Stay safe, be well and be blessed! ♥️🙏✌️👍🥰🙏♥️
Oh my good goodness a Mr Max piece!!! I was so lucky to have had him as a ceramics teacher at Ramona Convent school! I remember all the little critters he would make. He was such a light in this world.
Love it all! There were so many good things that you found. It's too bad that you are traveling by plane because I know that you would have a whole lot more. Even I found a little place along side the road on my little road trip today. I have to go back and stop and go in. I stopped for the pink bike outside. I got on it and could not get my leg up enough to get off. Am I too old for a pink bike?
Love the lava lamps. Worked in housewares at local hardware store during Christmas when I was in high school and college. Had original lava lamps so fun to turn on in morning and watch as day went by.
I was fortunate enough to stay at the Mission Inn two times, the second time I cried when it was time to leave because it was so beautiful there and I did not want to leave. Loved Riverside as well!
I live in Wine Country, Temecula and never heard of the Hologram House! I have the bitossi base for that lid! I’m calling to see if they still have it. Thank you for thrilling me and wowing me when im bored cleaning. Love watching!!
Enjoyed this trip video as I've lived in Riverside CA, my whole life. Wish I knew you were in town and happy you enjoyed all my haunts. Hope you return!

Laura you have to visit the Mission Inn during Christmas. They do a wonderful job decorating it. Love that place. I live about 45 minutes from Riverside. And 15 from Claremont.
Hi Laura! I have lived in Alta Loma Ca for almost 23 years and I’m embarrassed to say I have never been to the Mission Inn. It looks beautiful and I will definitely be visiting soon. Just wanted to say thank you for introducing it 🤗
Lol...born in 1950, I was raised with most of this mid century vintage 😂 lived in corona for 19 years and my son did his undergrad at UCR... that campus and botanical gardens are worth a look and there is also a wonderful photography museum on university ave...♥️♥️
Omg! I kept a magazine House Beautiful since like 2014 cause of an article about Justine’s La home it was in a small spaces issue. I just looked in my rv where I vowed to NEVER throw it away… it was gone! So upset. She had a green backsplash in kitchen. Love that you well know the value of the hard work put into these! I will cherish them 🦁
They take forever and even if you sell items you make, it would never cover materials AND all the hours...
Super jealous, love the box shape as well.
Tuna noodle casserole with potato chips
Agreed. Very talented needle pointed.

So nice to my little town get some love! It's hard to believe that in the late 80's the Mission Inn was boarded up and was going to be demolished! You should really come at Christmas if you love vintage Christmas decor, it's beautiful!
No way!!! So happy they saved it! I’ve heard Christmas time was amazing there, gonna have to see it!
Those orange leather vintage chairs at $120 each is a steal...
Gosh, I thought I'd seen almost everything til you showed the hanging ashtrays! I would hang them in a corner as an art installation. Fantastic.
Another wonderful adventure though your lens! Thank you so very much
Love shopping with you, Laura! Also love to learn about what you collect! I never see these things in the wild, but enjoy seeing you spy them!😂😍

The painting is such a great find! I really enjoyed this one.
The hanging ashtrays would make amazing hanging lights!
