Hooked up to rockford Fosgate 1200.1 amp at 1 ohm. Idk what the box is tuned to but it’s low. Some songs it hits harder than my skar evl 18 inch sub lol. Gets the windshield jumpin a bit.

I had three JL w7s in the back of my minivan on a 4500 watt ipn and they sound good dude they just don't have the bottom lows
No bottom lows with 3 w7’s?! What size? In a minivan all that roof flex tho.
the amp was way underpowered and JL they are stupid loud sound great but they cannot handle the lows the motors just overheat I burned up two of the w7 coils and I just sold them
then I got 6 Alpine type bars gate 3 to my cousin I kept three and I was more impressed with the Alpine type R's than I have been with the JLS well this is my second UA-cam channel my first one was 419 sports and then I was away on a state vacation for 3 years so this is my first remake of the glass city's channel and I'm going to be doing a little bit of everything from the get-go
I plan on doing three dark audio DMI 15s if I can find a pair and then I'm going to be doing them in the back of a Pontiac Grand Prix and I'm going to make it my show car and I plan on starting a whole new car club but I got a 4,000 watt crescendo amp at my aunt's house

Ok cool, well whatever you do make sure you post vids of the three type r’s! I miss mine. I had all except the 8 inchers.
But ya I guess JL revised the w7’s with their newer 13inch version. Just like how they had to revise the w6’s.
Although I have experimented with one subwoofer in two different boxes in two different vehicles and it all depends on the box and cabin space that can make subwoofers bottom out easily without touching rated rms.
Even after adjusting low pass high pass and subsonic and stereo settings. I had to turn the gain down quite a bit on the amp.
Box that’s too small or too big or even if the specs are right with the box it’ll still bottom out in the wrong vehicle.
But ya make sure you post a vid of those type r’s when you get a chance 👍

Does all ur subs share the same space inside that box or are tbey partially chambered each?
The car is a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback.
I bought the subs already hooked up and never removed the subs from the box but I’m sure they’re all sharing the same space.

Crossed input connections on at least one of the three. LOL .... Rookie Mistake.
Idk, I bought them already wired in the box and never messed with it. All I knew was the final impedance I think around 1-2ohms 🤷♂️

I bought a pair of skar evl 10’s (I posted a video of them) dual 4 ohms but the coils read 5 ohms out of the box...

Nice 👍 ya 1200 was perfect but my trunk didn’t have enough air space for the port to vent properly and the subs got a bit warm.

Those W0's are not made to be beat on like this... they wont last long. you need at least W1's or W3's..
WO's have a QTS of 60 and are really a sealed box sub, and can EASILY be damaged by over excursion, the Xmax is only 11 mm.

They stood up to all the beat downs up until I sold them to a guy who ran them off less power so I’m sure they’re still alive somewhere lol.

Ya the x15 is definitely underrated. I just did 144.6 on music in an atrend prefab box 😂 but it also hits pretty decent on just 600-700 watts!!

Hey sorry I don’t have it anymore. Although I do remember it was about 34.5” length 24.5” width and about 12” height. The port I think was between 2.5-3” width and about 26.5-28” length.

Well since they were my first set of JL w0’s and having three at same time I would compare them to two decent 12’s. The box was tuned pretty low so it sounded good with the lows and it hit the higher notes pretty good but I’m guessing it’s because there’s 3 of them.
