  • After arriving in Melaka and spending our first evening trying delicious Malaysian street food at the Jonker Street Night Market, we woke up early with plans to explore the historic part of the city - but the weather had other plans.
When the rain finally ended, we grabbed some refreshing coconut ice cream and took pictures at the iconic Kheil's Heritage Building before heading to the Dutch Square to learn more about the historic maroon-colored buildings and unique architecture from years of Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonization.
After walking along the riverfront for a while, we found ourselves in Little India, where the smell of beautiful flowers and delicious food had us wanting to book plane tickets to India. On our way back to the city center, we came across a couple of beautiful Chinese temples. We rounded out our day in Melaka the best way we knew how; on a riverboat cruise through the colorful city.
Our first impressions of Melaka were great, and we fell in love with the city, but we would love to know your thoughts! Please let us know if you enjoyed this video by giving it a like, and consider saying hello in the comments. 🥰

Melaka has been improving its infrastructure and tourism industry at a rapid pace due to its high demand and popularity. Hence, it'll only get better when it's time to come back for your future visits. Just be yourselves. Your personality and content presentation are fine and easygoing. Which makes the vlog easy to enjoy. Thanks for spreading the love for Malaysia!😊

the number 4 in Chinese is "sei", which translates to "die" - hence, you never find a 4th or 14th floor. And the thing you sampled @ the end of the video is called dodol. It's a local sweet/candy. You guys had durian dodol.. and that looked like pretty good durian dodol to me. Look it up on UA-cam to see how it's made. It's pretty cool. Gula Melaka is a local palm sugar.. and yes, gula means sugar.

But asians like to throw away organic stuff eg fish guts, fish head, chicken intestines etc all over. So it stinks, therefore to solve these "garbage" issue, the british brought in crows. I assume this was to do with hygiene. Malaysians are much cleaner now but the crows have multiplied in millions. What to do.
