SINGAPORE IN A DAY ON A MID-RANGE BUDGET🇸🇬

  • With only one full day to explore Singapore, we wanted to experience as much as possible, so we headed to the top three cultural centers in the city. Our first stop was Arab Street, a vibrant and culturally rich neighborhood known for its distinctive Middle Eastern and Malay influences. The Sultan Mosque, traditional shophouses, trendy boutiques, and cozy cafes blew us away.
Next, we headed to Little India and strolled along Serangoon Road, taking in the fragrant spices wafting through the air and stopping by Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, a must-visit landmark. We were feeling a bit peckish at this point, so we stopped at one of the highest-rated restaurants in the area for some samosas and butter paneer before heading to a local sweet shop to try a few Indian desserts.
Afterward, we reached Chinatown, arguably the busiest of the three cultural centers, where we were captivated by the blend of tradition and modernity. After wandering around Pagoda Street, we spent a few minutes in awe of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
Then, we came across Sri Mariamman Temple on our way to Clarke Quay, a lively riverside quay known for its vibrant nightlife and entertainment. One of our favorite buildings in Singapore is the Old Hill Street Police Station, and we took plenty of pictures near the colorful building as the sun set (check them out on our Instagram page!). 🥰
After dusk, we headed straight to the Marina Bay Sands complex to take in the futuristic architecture and daydream about staying at the stunning but costly hotel one day.
We didn't have long to admire the sites, however, because we had a very important show to catch, so we walked along the Helix Bridge, shaped like a DNA structure, and made it to Gardens by the Bay just in time to see the Supertrees come alive to the sounds of music.
When we first arrived in Singapore, we thought that exploring the best city in the world on a budget would be difficult, but with everything we did, we ended up spending $70 for both of us, which we think is pretty impressive, if we do say so ourselves! 😆

@@mingzmings88 So, Singapore have no REAL culture. If you are a foreigner, that's fine, with that attitude, I don't think you are welcome here. If you are a Singaporean, that would be very pathetic. You are claiming you have no REAL culture. You are very likely one of those people who like to blame everyone and everything for your own failure in life. You can always leave and go find a place with a REAL culture. Wish you all the best. 🤣

You guys are really cute and likeable lol. You really covered a lot on foot. Singapore is really doable on a budget. Hostels and capsule places are available, just need a bit of research online. Food is cheap and has varieties at the hawker centres. I hope you come back again and experience more on this sunny island...

Edit : Each year they'll bring local artist aka Singaporean to write a song for the National Day. They will release a music video for it typically a month before National Day which falls on the second week of August. Usually the person who writes these song are famous local artist.

23:35 second level of the Chinatown Complex, is the biggest hawker centre in Singapore with over 200 stalls. You just missed your budget meals. There are some stalls in there open for dinner. You were right. The basement has a wet market selling fresh produce. It gets very crowded in the mornings and especially over the weekend. At the basement level of the Buddha Tooth Relic temple, is an air-conditioned vegetarian food court although I'm not too sure what time close.

Over 100 hawker centers have over 15,000 nationwide stalls and some 24 hours. Singapore is NOT a cheap city, but it caters to every budget. One can buy a decent meal for S$3 and well over $1000. One can easily find a very affordable meal any time of the day. I hope you will visit again!

Thank you for the suggestions! We tried going to the tekka center and it was closing down and they were out of a lot of items, so we didn't include it in the video. We didn't know about the hawker center at the bottom of the mall, which is a huge miss! But by that point, we weren't really hungry anymore.
We really want to come back and explore more of Singapore and we will make sure to hit all of these places you've suggested! Thank you for watching and recommending great places to visit. 😊
