IRIS i loved this, tysm for making vids like this, i wish i'd had creators like you when i was younger! i'm really new to minimizing my chest but have had big boobs since i started developing lol (i'm a 36F), so i've learned a lot. lots of advice below (sorry for the essay!) first, for people with larger band and cup sizes, it's really helped to be realistic. there's no possible way i can minimize the chest the same way others can (which i think can apply to everyone - our bodies are all different). you're always going to be able to see my boobs at this size (perhaps they could be minimized more with a binder, i haven't tried one!), so i try not to get too upset about flattening 100% and find other ways to feel gender euphoria. something not mentioned in the regular bras section are minimizer bras. these have been around foreverrrr and are really popular with larger chested cis women, and tbh they've changed my life. i wear one from vanity fair, but it reduces my side profiles a ton (by about 1-2 cup sizes, enough for me who's been used to having large boobs to go omg) because it compresses while also separating boobs out to the side (rather than pushed up as seen with other wired bras). for larger-chested people (at least in my experience), bralettes (or bras that don't have underwire that AREN'T compression bras like sports bras) tend to make the chest look larger. this is because larger boobs weigh more and therefore sag more (and create more of that weight at the bottom that iris mentioned). i own shapermint bralettes which i love because they're so comfy, but after the first or second wear, their initial compression stretches out and the natural shape of boobs sort of takes over lol. the minimizer bra is surprisingly more comfy because it provides critical support (with the very thin, flexible underwire) but also keeps the boobs more "up" in a good way (sort of what Iris was saying when adjusting the shoulder straps). i also minimize with clothing, though oversized clothing alone won't hide my size of chest. surprisingly, sometimes it feels more minimizing to wear a tighter tank-top with a baggy button-up or jacket. hugely recommend high-neck, broader sleeved tank-tops. from the side you'll still see boobs! but the combo of tight and loose helps feel more masculine to me while retaining some of my other shape. big jackets/things that emphasize shoulders can reduce the impact of the chest too. structured clothing items as iris said are my go-to. not chest-related clothing, but emphasizing the lower half of your silhouette can help. baggy pants and larger shoes can de-emphasize the chest. adding lines to the lower half of the body (with a pants chain for example, or if your pants have funky seams/pockets/zippers) can also help. posture is kind of a problem with big boobs because i already have chronic back issues and larger chested people can be predisposed to these so as a person with chronic pain plssss be careful slouching. for me i'd rather my chest be more visible than cause chronic issues in the future. so instead of thinking about slouching i think about how i carry myself. how i stand/how i distribute my weight, how i walk etc matters more for me. finally i also like to accessorize/think about gender euphoria outside of my chest. rings and dark nail polish make me feel amazing. my haircut also makes 99% of the difference (kind of like a longer version of iris' hair hahaha, also idk why but darker hair feels nice for me). even shopping in the men's section helps, even if the men's clothing still shows my chest. hope that helps the larger-chested folks!
THAT is what a minimizer does?! I've seen those on the rack, but never considered one, because I was told that the only difference was "less support." Good heavens... Thank you!
@@ArynChris YES I wish I’d gotten one sooner! To me it’s a really low-key way to compress the chest, super underrated for people who can’t get access to other options!
I just straight up asked my mom can you buy me a binder for my birthday but lied about it being for cosplaying unless I’m cosplaying myself Edit:I didn’t except it to get this much likes Edit: dude why does this have 5.3k likes I’ve never got this much likes on a comment before thanks
Bringing up getting jealous is so real. I have 3 NB people in my band class and the amount of envy I have for their flat chest is just shocking. I thought their chest was naturally flat until they wore different type of clothes and their chest showed really clearly. As someone who also NB I’m trying to learn to present my chest like them.
@-Tha.Honey.Kat- i have the same with my sister 😭 its so bad bcs like i have probably twice the size of her chest and like we share the same genes why couldnt that be meee
I’m the oldest in my grade, so naturally I’m one of the majority who grew a chest and while I do have binders, I just don’t want to take them off constantly because at the end of the day I do sports and I take forever (I went to the bathroom to take it off during lunchtime and my friends said I took forever lol)
@AnnabethOwl Yeah, I don't have anyone really to look up to, except my aunts that I rarely see, I mean my community is very religious, and the envy I have is when I see people who have LGBT support systems at school that aren't the most random app... I am so happy for you! Be who you want! (: ✨✨✨♥️♥️♥️ OOOO
@@5oakedpawz please try these hacks, then binders if they're not enough, and don't do top surgery until you're at least 18! it's quite a difficult surgery with a long recovery process, so don't rush into it
@@paprikapringless9526 i want a flat chest, id sell my soul for one. I also am saying my mother wouldnt support me thats why i cant get a binder, and these hacks did some stuff, but not a lot.
you might be a demigirl, try looking into that :) just a suggestion, labels make describing things easier which is the only reason I'm saying this, not trying to label you myself.
For anyone who is worried about getting trans tape off, baby oil is your best friend. You can get a small bottle and use it to soak the tape thoroughly and leave it for a few minutes. Additionally, as someone with a larger chest, it's not very effective at flattening, but you can work out in it, and wear it for long periods of time, which is a huge plus for me. Hope this helps!
I'm sorry you have to go through that. I've had a similar issue for YEARS (since I was 6, I'm now 15. Go figure.) And I'm a little weary on if I'm trans or not. (I probably have internalized transphobia 💀) I've had issues of being sexualized as well, and I hope your able to apply these to enjoy your childhood AS A CHILD and be comfortable in your own skin
This is the exact same way I feel. I'm 13 but I slouch a lot to try and minimize the looks, specially because I do feel a bit sexualized if I don't so my mom always gets after me for slouching.
I don't know if I'm trans. I love all feminine/girly things and clothes and stuff but I still wish I was a guy. Though what I've learned is that I can't really wear the clothes I want to before I transition (if I ever do) because I'll just be a girl. I don't feel a lot of gender dysphoria, only sometimes, though I've always been a bit insecure about my chest specifically especially when my mum or friends comment on it (even if it's positive). I'm sorry you have to go through that but do whatever makes you feel better about yourself !!!
@@αιχειτμαιλαιφ yeah you 100% can be a guy and be girly. I’m a trans guy and I was super girly as a kid and I still like girly things like wearing dresses and skirts. But I also want to be a guy and wear clothes, (girly or not) the way a boy does. And yeah the “I want long hair and to wear girly clothes, but then I’ll just be a girl” feeling is so real. For now tho I just have medium length hair and wear a mix of boyish and girly clothes, whatever I feel comfortable with that day.
a tip for those binding whilst plus sized: i found using trans tape on the bottom of the binder really stops it from rolling up and creating a nasty sensory experience!! one horizontal strip with a couple of vertical ones on each side to secure it and you’re done :)
I don't have the largest chest, but it's a bit larger. Things I've learned: 1. Maximize the cleavage to minimize the cleavage. If you have a garment that pushes them closer together-- even a smexy party shirt that you own for whatever reason-- put it on and then layer normal clothes on top of it. Tada! A monoboob is easier to disguise, plus now you have more room for your arms to move. 2. If you have a strong ratio between chest and waist, or waist and hip, lightweight open jackets (such as the classic plaid button-up shirt) are a good way to disguise that curve. They hang pretty much the same on all bodies, so people don't see what the sides of your torso are doing. Also good for obscuring arm size, shoulder size and shape, and in some cases chest curvature. Just make sure you're wearing one that's too thick to be clingy, but too lightweight to look like you're a kid in your dad's clothes. 3. Speaking of plaid! Complex visual patterns, ESPECIALLY that mix bright, dark, and medium colors, distract the human eye and obscure the shapes underneath. You'll notice a lot of complex floral patterns in plus-sized women's clothing, and a lot of complex plaids and detailed graphic designs in plus-sized men's, for this reason. Regardless of what you want to distract from, dark (especially black) clothing with a big multi-colored Thing To Look At does great. Plus, if you're still exploring your sense of identity and self-expression, having simple "base" clothing and experimenting with the distractions you wear on top can be very satisfying.
About your first tip, I would also mention that it does work, but doing the opposite and pushing them as far away from each other as possible and also downwards helps a lot too
@@WhyIsTheClosetDoorOpening Adding to this comment, be careful with pushing away and down as this can be damaging for your skin! From what I understood, my top surgeon said that pressing your chest flat from the nipple into the muscle is better for your skin and less damage makes it easier for surgery. (Plus it gives a shape more in alignment with a perceived male chest) Best wishes and happy binding!
As a person who has put trans tape on, DON'T fucking put tattoo wrap under ttape. Just don't. No. Trans tape is made to stick to skin, and it's not the tape's fault if you rip it the fuck off and you get blisters and literally rip your skin off. Use olive oil, use soap, use whatever, and most importantly, wear it for a long time (like a week or so) because that's when it'll start peeling off your body on it's own. TRANS TAPE IS MEANT AS A LONG TERM WEARING/BINDING SOLUTION, and that means that it's specifically designed to stay for a long time (again, around a week or so), and that means that the adhesive will weaken with time, making lotions, soaps and oils more effective on it. I'm sorry for this rant, but I see so many binding misconceptions every day, and have seen so many since the moment I started living as my true self that I get annoyed. Also the "general regulations for binding (with a binder)" are INCREDIBLY generalistic. So generalistic that they might as well be considered wrong. Just so you know: 1) start binding for only a couple hours a day, maybe even less if you're not used to tight-fitting clothes. - if you feel any pain or deep uncomfortable feeling, then take it off and I advice finding a new owner for the binder. 2) Find the time where you start being uncomfortable, that's when you'll take your chillaxing, juicy, binding rest. 3) Start extending your binding time if you feel that you want to or need to. 4) Profit. Also, if you wear for more than 4 hours, take breaks every hour or so anyways. Your body gets used to the binding sensation and it will be more difficult finding and feeling uncomfortable sensations in your body. Also also, you CAN work out in binders IF YOU KNOW YOUR BINDER WELL, just take more frequent brakes, listen to your body and test your body limits, but not too hard that you end up hurting yourself.
noted about the wrap! I definitely agree about listening to your body when it comes to starting to bind-the guidelines always seemed like longer hours than I personally could stand.
Hi, I have a question. "if you wear for more than 4 hours, take breaks every hour or so anyways." did it mean doing a break every hour after you begin to bind if you're planning on doing it for a longer period of time than 4 hours, or is it not necessary to take breaks before the start of ur 5th hour in a binder? Sorry if the phraising's bad my english is at A2 level :')
Also by any means do you know similar rules for bralettes with tight straps (if I called that right) and sports bras? Will I be safe if I use that instead of a binder and apply the same rules as the ones that you recommend for an actual binder? If you can't help with any info here that's fine obviously I just really want to know what is safe
I just want to say that I worked really hard on this video and I really hope that it lives up to your expectations and is helpful at least in SOME way, but if it isn’t I’m sorry I couldn’t share what you need. In my experience, my chest always looks flatter on camera than in person, so please keep this in mind when you watch other creators as well. I know we play the comparison game a lot especially with gender but I want y’all to be kind to yourselves about your bodies and what they are and aren’t like. Looking a specific way can be extremely gender affirming, but it’s not the only way that you can affirm your innermost self. Be the person that can take care of the child you once were. Find ways to be there for them.
Your video is so well done. Its really well organised very useful i will try all of your tip I think and that is a really good video I think a lot of people need it. Thank you for all of your great contents ! =)
I am so glad I found your video! Right now I'm feeling very dysphoric and thought a binder was the only option to deal with it. I am sure most of your tips will be helpful for me, especially considering that my chest is already not that big :)
I just found out about your channel and it's crazy how I've been struggling with gender dysphoria like a bitch for almost a year now yet it never occurred to me to seek guidance in youtube... Long story short I'm soooo glad I found your channel. Thank you so much for all the care and hard work and attention you put into this.
I love the video, it's very helpful! I like how comprehensive it was, you didn't just do things like "wear baggy shirts" and roll credits lol. I really appreciated all of the nuanced points you brought up, and I will def be considering them in the future (tho I am a trans man so I'm binding almost daily, but the other tips are very helpful for when my 8 hours are up!). On the chest thing tho, I always feel like we notice our OWN chests much more than other people do, which is why so many people comment about others' "flat" chests (even if they're not particularly flat). I've definitely had days where I'm not binding but I come out of the bathroom and my husband goes "wow you're so flat!" (his go to compliment on my appearance now cuz it makes me very euphoric lol). So even tho I definitely noticed that I wasn't binding, even someone who sees me daily cant always tell. I feel like it's a good reminder, as we often fall into the fallacy of "these people are seeing me so they MUST be noticing what I do about myself", when that's often not the case
As a cis man i do not know why this was recommended to me but i just wanna say that your style is AWESOME ive been wanting to buy t shirts with that sort of fit for the longest time but not sure how to look for them?? Also i love that spiked necklace too omigosh Anyways, sorry for going off topic
video turned out pretty cool! to add to the sports bra section, i personally have one where i sized down and if you're gonna do that, definitely treat it like a binder (in means of no hard exercise, no sleeping in it, max. 8 hours, etc.) ! i have one from h&m that's extremely similar to the one in this video but most likely cheaper! :)

Thanks, I'm not trans but i really do enjoy hiding my chest and appearing flat because it feels more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing for me than anything. This video has been pretty helpful, especially the section about baggy clothes and such.
another thing i've heard a lot of ppl talk about (although haven't personally tried yet) is layering sports bras for more compression!! of course listen to your body, if it feels tight and uncomfortable don't force yourself to do it but it could be a nice alternative if you can't get a binder other things that make me feel/look more masc are opting for low-waisted instead of high-waisted pants and also making your eyebrows a bit darker has been SUCH a game changer for me :^)
from my own past experiences i really do not recommend layering sports bras, it was really painful even when worn for short time periods and instead of flattening my chest it kinda just made it into one chunk
nah, get a binder slightly too big, just barely too big, barely... and it works just enough to flatten your chest without too much compression on your ribs, because it's a stiff fabric so y'know it just works.
Changing my Eyebrows with like tinted brow gel (I have a chi chi brand one that has fibres in it which is amazing btw) is 100% a game changer it just helps with face dysphoria
So tru tho!! Same for periods for me, I hate that word or menstrual cycle, it just makes me so uncomfortable and dysphoric. My therapist suggested "shark week" as a substitute and I love that, it's basically the only term I use for it now lol
I found and bought a sports top from a thrift store and it literally gets the job done, its longer than a binder but i fold it so the whole fabric hugs my tatas. Im really happy that i found it and i hope i get an actual binder in the future : )
I have a transmasc oc, and I have been thinking for weeks about what he could comfortably wear for the ✨training montages✨ cause I don't thing a full on binder would be comfortable to fight in, and this video bring up things I didn't even think about. So thank you for assisting me in writing my baby boy/gen :}
@@The-Amaris-Nebula My baby boi usually uses a spiked baseball bat that he bedazzled. He also does a LOT of swimming, which is expected if you have gills lol.
18:18 as someone who tried Transtape and removed it for the first time last night: yes, I felt very sexy while wearing it. Being able to breathe normally was fantastic. Also, yes, the blisters are real, and I am now not binding at all because of them, so...I am going to try again, but it'll take a lot more trial and error, I think.
How are you removing the tape? I wear trans tape almost all the time and I don't get blisters. When I am removing the tape I fully soak it in regular cooking oil and it comes off quite easily.
drugstore baby oil is my go to for avoiding blisters. you shouldn’t need too much, just make sure you really rub it into the entire surface of the tape, let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then take the tape off suuuuper slowly. you can also try taking it off in the shower, with or without the oil, and that should also help! happy binding :)
I love ur channel as a pre-T guy cause its real helpful for my gender disphoria which seems to be worsening recently (no idea why :(Also love ur hair!!
look in the mirror naked... it works better if you're really skinny... but just bask in how attractive you are and it feels better, cause it's like... damn, im hot... but it's also just getting comfortable with the way you look. it may feel a bit strange at first but that's why you keep looking.
I’m cis, but this helped me I love dressing fem, but I’m somewhat insecure about how large my chest is. (36DDD) I know it’s not huge, but if feels like too much for me, back pain isn’t too bad either It’s always super hard to find low-cut dresses or one-pieces in general that fit my chest and my body. Either my chest is spilling out (I’m not a fan of how it feels) or the dress fits my chest perfectly but it’s too baggy on the rest of my body I just like to shrink the size a bit
I’m NB but like masc NB and I just have to thank you for this video. Seriously I have been struggling so much with this issue, I’ve tried anything but it just doesn’t work, but hearing your methods (especially since we have similar sized chests) gave me some hope on this. I figured I was just never gonna figure it out but these suggestions seem possible to me! Thank you so much ❤
Hi! im a young FTM trans, and as soon as heard that black was good for hiding and also baggy was too, i immediately put on my black sweatshirt lmao (SUBWISHDJIDNSHDK IM DYING IVE NEVER FELT SO GENDER-NESS IN MY LIFE) Edit: aaaa most replies under this are being so niceee ty 🥹
get a binder slightly too big, just barely too big, barely... and it works just enough to flatten your chest without too much compression on your ribs, because it's a stiff fabric so y'know it just works. make sure theirs a little wiggle room. just a little. not too much. but just enough. i have one that would probably fit tightly on my older sister, or my aunt even, (just for size comparison really) and im only slightly smaller than them, but just make sure there's a little bit of wiggle room, and it still works with no problem
An add on to the layering. I EXIST off of flannel shirts. Layering as you said helps but also big patterns help to distract the eye from seeing your chest. (I’m not kidding I almost have the entire rainbow in flannels so I can put them over any shirt)
Thank you for the video! Gonna share a tip I personally use, as a midsize nonbinary person. Something I really like for my chest is thick tank tops as an under layer. I deal with a lot of chest pain which leaves bras and sports bras(other than when I work out), a huge no-no for my own safety and comfort. So, I started going braless using thick tank tops instead! I find myself way less dysphoric due to the fact it isn’t a bra, something about the fact I’m wearing one at all caused me more dysphoria than I knew! Yes I still see my chest, but knowing I’m not wearing a bra, I’m not on pain, helps a good deal. I also find that sometimes they can help make a boxier shape, or other times help the chest and torso “blend” together more in a way, giving a smoother shape from the front. If I’m really dysphoric I’ll usually add a sports bra underneath it, and the thick fabric with typically hide the lines of the bra. Like said this isn’t a great fix but it’s one I use and feel quite happy with! I didn’t want to parrot what’s already said in the video or comments, but there’s lots of other great tips that might work better for you!
I do this too because of my breathing and chest pain issues. For anyone who's worried about how well passing you can be with this, please know that plenty of cis men (especially those with more loose skin) have breast-like chests too. I have been on T for about 2 years, I am around 5'3 and of a more boxy build with a 42-43 inch bust and most people perceive me as a cisman even without tight binding. Cheers!
hey! i also have some clothing sensory issues, especially the thing you were talking about with when the fabric is too soft!! i definitely was intimidated when i tried transtape for the first time because of the sensory stuff and it took me a while to get comfy with it, but now trans tape is one of my fav options! just wanted to throw this in here for anyone else who is worried abt transtape w sensory issues :) (I'm also a trans guy so I wear it like almost everyday, it's important to be safe and take taping breaks! But yeah I use it all the time, it's a lifesaver)
The way binders are (supposed) to work is by pulling up and away, and this result can be achieved on how you put it on. If you want to have a slightly more flattened chest, flip your binder inside out and step into it. When you put it on, it'll pull it up and away, which, in my experience, gets better results. If you don't have a binder, a bralette (as seen) or slightly tight sports bra can get similar results in the same manner! Not only does what you wear help, but how you wear it! And carrying yourself differently can do wonders, too! Happy binding!
friendly reminder/tip: posture too can work better than binding, and also some ppl will have fully different expectations on how gender expression relates to gender - for example, i got misgendered whilst binding many times, but also got ppl calling me by he/him (right ones for me) even without binders, or even layers! just a thin, loose tank top, which has pretty wide “holes” (forgot the proper term 😭 sorry 😅😂), and also with a quite “droopy” fabric! and another example is that many cis people get misgendered as well, even ones who arent necessarily “gender non-conforming” also, a lot of it is tied to bs eurocentric ideals of how people “”should”” look like, which doesnt do anyone any good obviously, all here for dressing however makes us feel better! just always good to keep these in mind, rly helps me find the line between gender euphoria and dysphoria from the type of dysphoria that’s only related to colonialist expectations - i personally used to dress and act mostly according to those, but now after top surgery and a few years on T, i’m finally feeling at home in my own body enough to let myself explore things that go against those colonial ideals of “masculinity”, like “feminine” aesthetics, acting “camp”, etc 🥰
to personally share my experience with these options I have tried both trans tape and compression tops as they seem the most practial for me. whie binders can be really compressive and you can feel alot more pressure, the compression tops I have (they're also the adjustable strap ones) in size small definitely help reduce the shape of my chest at the sides and makes me feel secured, they have a pretty seamless and nice fit. trans tape is suuuper helpful for people that wear clothing of differnt cuts/materials as its the most practical (I can wear shirts that have a longer v-neck, off the shoulder tops, and generally other clothes w kinks in them). yes, definitely round those corners when cutting the tape and I suggest when buying make sure the tape is thick (large 5"), makes it for easier application and more coverage. to remove, its easiest after a warm shower and to make sure its been after a while of wearing. ik transtape also has oil for removal but after I ran out of that I used a massage oil but I've heard baby oil works great too. again thank you for this! there were so many options in here and I loved watching it. your videos when coming to gender expression through clothing is always a lifesaver
I’m transmasc genderfluid and I’m a 38F (kill me), so for me binding isn’t really an easy option, but on days I’m particularly masc, funnily, just presenting myself in a more masculine way helps. My school also has a uniform though so it’s harder for clothing expression, but just wearing a turtleneck under my uniform helps. I have my sleeves rolled up a bit, shirt tucked into my pants, and black hi-top shoes. It’s hard to explain how or why, but on these days, people seem to process “he” a lot more naturally even if they usually default to “they”. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but sometimes just the little things make people’s brains tick over to “he”
I clicked on this on instinct even tho I had top surgery 5 weeks ago lmao. Still hasn't registered completely cuz I'm stuck in my post OP binder for a couple more days which feels similar to my now retired Spectrum binder. Great video tho, I could've really used this pre OP! Hope it reaches the people that need it 🙌
I’m non-binary and want a binder so badly, but my parents don’t support it. I usually just do a few things to hide my chest. 1) I put bandages over my chest (on top of a sports bra) and tape it in place 2) I wear a lot of layers. I can wear a long sleeve shirt, T-shirt, and tank top all at once 3) I slouch a lot I hope this helps someone out there. Being a teen with no support on being trans or non-binary is really hard. I know how it feel, but just know that you aren’t alone and people will be there to help you. Do whatever it is that makes you happy and comfortable.
I've become the master of layering on my quest to be flat. (Roll up your sleeves (same as the tucking shirt in pants reason), JACKETS AND FLANNELS!!!!!!, big busy graphics, thicc fabric, shirts under t shirt, hoodies WITH ZIPPERS AT THE FRONT!!! ESP A BIT LOOSE ONES!!! (makes your chest look like its from the hoodie if you find the right one). Also if you have a sports top that has a lot of extra at the bottom you can flip that over your chest to bind more. Dark colours leave no shadows to make chest more obvious like for example white.
I’m so excited to watch this video!! I can’t wear a binder bc of a congenital sternum defect (I could break a rib or collapse a lung) and my sunken in chest makes my barely existent breasts look way more accentuated. Only a minute into the video, but I had to pop over to the comments first to thank you 🖤🖤🖤
I’m a cis lesbian who once watched a video on how to lower my voice for singing, pranking people and because I think my voice is too feminine and I don’t like it, but now I’m getting all kinds of enby/ftm video’s and I honestly love it. It’s so interesting seeing how people get creative with stuff like this, tho it feels weird to watch binder video’s, since I don’t get people not wanting boobs😅 (I love them)
Thanks for this video! I have a heart condition so I'm worried about using a binder. Your advice in this video has give me hope and showed me that other options can be really effective, I appreciate that :D
PSA for anyone considering trans tape: please be very, very careful. Tbf i only tried it a few times, so my technique for applying it was by no means perfect. But i generally followed the tutorials and did what they said, and when i went to remove it i soaked it in the oil and did it very slowly. It still ended up tearing off a small strip of skin, which took about a week to heal, as well as leaving blisters. I also found that it felt very tight, itchy and uncomfortable while wearing it and didn't make me very flat. Ofc this is just my personal experience and i know trans tape works great for a lot of people, but please be careful. Bind safe everyone! 💛
Before I got a binder, I just made my own out of an old small bra and elastic bandaid. worked for me for around half a year. still have it somewhere if I'll ever need it, and I hope I won't, it was really uncomfortable to wear because it was too short. if you're the "I'm a trans man and I need for my chest to be flat always" like me and don't have any other options, might as well try this
The layered long sleeves under stuff really makes a difference. I love putting a flannel under a crewneck sweatshirt bc it makes it feel like more put together and the sweatshirt is gonna lie flatter over a button up than just straight on my chest. It's bot about how big my chest looks, it's about flatness!
I used to think binders could never be my thing due to my fear of it breaking my body from wearing it too long... BUT THE ZIPPER OPTION OMG !! I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS A THING !!! I need this binder omg
I wear my binder a lot more than I perhaps should because i wear it to school but I can't really use any other option for school because my school uniform is basically a suit and it is really obvious to me when I try to wear a sports bra instead of a binder and it makes me uncomfortable But when I'm not around other people like if I'm just in the house I find that I can be OK wearing just a t-shirt or just a sports bra
really useful video. as amab gonna see where I can do the opposite to this in some cases? one persons dysphoria can be another persons euphoria. keep up the good work !!
I'm not super experienced in increasing chest profile, but i would say a padded bralette or sports bra is probably a good bet. IME, the most important part of chest minimizing is shaping what you have to look more masculine/neutral, and I think the opposite should also be true. While I would usually bind/minimize with my chest pushed slightly outwards and upwards to give the appearance of pecs, you could do inwards using a bralette to give it a more "feminine" shape. You could also use a push up bra in a small cup size, where the bra would be doing the shaping for you. Hope this helps
I wish you good look on writing accurate characters! Just a reminder if you do write a transmasc character that trans people can feel dysphoric and euphoric from different things, so maybe include some more underrepresented experiences like dysphoria from your height or hair texture for examples or euphoria from a specific style or mannerism
So glad you talked about your chest size! My chest doesn’t look super big, but I took my measurements and it turns out that I’m a D cup. I took measurements multiple times to make sure I was getting it right. It’s really nice to know that someone else has something similar with their chest.
I've been using trans tape for about a year now, and it has been a life saver. There are some things I want to say about it: 1. Do not pull it too tight. If you are getting chest soreness, take your tape off as soon as possible because that tells you you've put it on too tight. 2. Use oil to help you take it off, and if you dont (like i do), go super slow to make sure you aren't pulling your skin off. Yes, that can happen. 3. As they said in the video, ROUND THOSE EDGES. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but our bodies are round, and so we need a round edge to go on our round bodies. 4. When you first start wearing tape, dont wear it for the full number of days you can safely wear it (which is 4-5 days as long as you've put it on correctly). Make sure to only wear it 1-2 days for the first month of wearing it and slowly work your way up. You should also do this for binders too. Start with an hour and work your way up to a full school/work day, depending on what you do. 5. Make sure to do a tester strip before you fully apply your tape and make sure to put it right under your arm because that is a place that gets rubbed a lot. Obviously, if you have a bad reaction, consider another binding method. 6. Always cover your whole areola (nipple and outer ring of skin) when binding with tape. Some people use toilet paper, but I use cotton pads because toilet paper makes me incredibly itchy. Also, I find it covers me better, and I dont have to worry about accidentally missing any of my areola. 7. The do's and don't's of tape: Do swim and shower with it on if that's your vibe. Don't do intense exercise with it on. (Nothing more stressful than jogging) Do be shirtless with it on at the beach if that's your vibe. Don't pull it too tight. Do watch videos on how to apply it that are based around your cup size. (Im quite small, so I watch ones that have the same size as me.) Don't wear tape if you're having an allergic reaction or keep getting blisters because you're in a hot climate. Do sleep with it on cause you can wear it for multiple days. And lastly: Do slay in your tape if it works for you because you look so flat, my peep. Disclaimer!!! You will not look as flat with tape as you do when you bind because binding is putting a layer on top that will make everything look flat. Binding is less likely to work for you if you have a larger bust size, but it can help reduce how much you have when chilling at home. You can bind with tape and use a binder at the same time, but the binder rules still apply. (No more than 8 hours) Hope this makes sense, and I'm sorry for how long it is. Cheers, my brothers and puddles!
Hey just wanted to share some tips I have to pass and feel more like a cis boy, the best type of shirt for me when it comes to wanting to look more flat is wearing slightly oversized 100% or close to 100% cotton with big prints on the front. I’m a metal head so I usually wear band tees anyway and it fits my style really good! One brand I have on many of my shirts is gildan heavy cotton (they also have tear away tags so they are really good if you have sensory issues). I’m 14 so I’m still not big enough to fit into adult men’s shirts so I buy from the unisex and youth sections! That was pretty much it but remember if you are a trans man and your chest isn’t completely flat that’s okay and it does not make you any lass of a man. Hope this helped 🤘
i'm a trans guy with a larger chest, i bind daily and for long hours. I really wanted to hear tips and tricks in this video that'll help me, but unfortunately i either already do these things (baggy shirts etc) or these are just not relevant/won't do much for larger sized chests. but the zipper binder comment did interest me so i'll look into that :)
I haven't ever been able to minimize my chest because I thought I could only use a binder for that, but now I know that there are other ways to get the same effect! This video was very helpful! 💖
This is a well timed video for me! I've wanted to bind more often, but lately I've been getting rib pain, which I know is a signal I need to slow down and take it easy. I think I need to invest in some compression sports bras and compression tops. I think my tissue is too firm for taping unfortunately, but being able to minimize my chest some is better than not at all. It's hard out here as a person with a small rib cage and big gongalozongas ! But I'm trying!
ok ima throw my 2 cents in here. so, for reference and comparing, im 5'8 220Ibs and a 40DD ok. and i've tried binders, bras and trans tape. and i can get a more masc-ish chest but it's never flat cause i got those tiggobittys so i've tried different brands of binders, and then better one i've found for me is spectrum binders, they flatten the side bottom curve nicely. but also i can't bind for more then 6-7 hrs with out my back hurting so i don't wear it often. what i wear most the time is just a good sports bra and a graphic tshirt. a more square or bigger print tends to make the shirt hang more square. and a jacket or flannel can do wonders. a good flannel works better then a hoodie for me. my advice for is look for tips and video from people with a similar body type as you, cause what works for a smaller chest won't work for a big chest ect. anyway, good video, good advice!
one thing that i've done to hide my boobas is get a very stretchy and slightly thick child sized tank top. i stretched the arms of it to make sure it wouldn't hurt my arm pits, and i wouldn've done it to the bottom of it and the neck aswell if they weren't already big enough to fit me. if you have a smaller chest, as in ribbcage size not booba size, it works super well! my boobas are medium size right now and it still works super well! doesn't compress as much as an actual binder, but works better then sports bras. it's affordable, since it's children's clothing you can get some very unique designs and colors(i have a purple one and a green one😁), and i've done exercise in them and it didn't bother me at all! you just have to make sure the fabric is stretchy enough tho, i've tried wearing one that wasn't as stretchy and it gave me friction burns because of how tight it was...so if you wanna try this, test it out, put it on before buying it. also, i believe it'd be a bit hard to put on for most people, i don't struggle with it because my shoulders are hypermoble, but someone who doesn't have that mobility would probably struggle a lot... not much different from the struggle of putting on a common binder tho😂
The tips in this video were very helpful! I have a smaller chest, but the tissue in it is denser than normal so compression doesn't work as well, but tips from people with larger chests usually is more helpful than people more my size! The tips in this about clothing material helped the most, because there are some shirts I like and hide my chest, but I was never sure why so I didn't know what to look for in new shirts. I can't wear a binder for medical reasons (my ribs like to dislocate randomly already, and I'd rather not make it worse lol) so I usually just wear comfy sports bras and baggy shirts and hope for the best. Recently I've tried wide KT tape used like trans tape, but that's a bit pricey over time and I get friction blisters easily so it's not the easiest to do frequently.
Additional things about trans tape from what I've tried: It does work better for me than the times I've tried binding. The feeling of something stuck to my skin bothers me quite a bit usually, but I found that wearing a sports bra over my chest and the tape helped with that? Like. It didn't feel like I had something sticking when there was something else over it too. I mostly got blisters in my armpit area and on my side close to my back the first time, so if you're worried about blisters definitely tape a little bit lower and shorter than the videos on yt of how to apply usually show it. When I did it just like how it was shown it ended up too long and too high and I had to take it off because of really bad blisters after a day, but when I made those little adjustments I could wear comfortably for 3 days. If you don't want to use up the tape for nipple covers, DO NOT use MULTIPLE bandaids to cover. The worst blister I got the first time was next to my nip because I had used two smaller bandaids in an x over my nip, and the tape had squished the bandaids into the skin in a way that they were rubbing against each other and the skin BAD. INSTEAD get larger, waterproof rectangle, square, or circle shaped ones that can FULLY cover ur nips.
My advice, multiple sports bras at once, 2 is preferable. I personally also like using the band at the bottom of a bra in the middle of my chest and having compression overtop that, as it makes for a flatter surface before full compression starts. Also, KNIT AND CROCHET FABRICS, you knit? Make a sweater, grandma knits? Tell her you want a sweater, anything. Knit fabric can be the exact thing you need, high texture, color and thickness you can choose, looks good almost regardless of what else you wear as long as it isn’t some hideous pattern or design, seriously, buy some, get some made, or make some yourself, doesn’t matter.
Iris you delivered and did NOT disappoint ❤ thank you thank you, when you said you like your chest the way it is but also hate it some days was very relatable. Gonna keep all these tips in mind and save this vid in my library for next time I look at clothes/sports bra options
honestly thank you for this 😭 I often wear my binder too much, I’m so uncomfortable without it. I wear it to school all day and then 3 days a week, go to my dads for a few hours after school. I wear it the whole time and it KILLS my back. so thanks:))
i want to bind so bad. like so bad. i’m trying to do my research so that when i can buy some on my own, i know what to get but until then, i just wear two sports bras (i’ve heard people say to wear one of them backwards but that makes it more hard to breathe imo) this video was a very helpful guide. those recaps are going in my enby information google doc, and i am definitely coming back to this channel! thank you so much!! from a young enby ♡
so excited to have found this video, my size has made me uncomfortable since the boobs came out and my posture has suffered from it so i hope this will help!! THANK YOU 💕
After 2021, GC2B's quality has taken a nosedive and hasn't been considered safe for binding anymore because of it. My pre-2021 binders from GC2B are wonderful, and i got my last one (i only have 2) very close to when they were notably worse, and the difference in quality from my 2017 number is immense. You aren't imagining the drop in quality, GC2B is just like that now.
From person who uses(d) trans tape /kt tape. I’ve used it around a dozen times now and I’m shit at it. It is very possible to not get blisters and I have done so. But more often than not I stretch the tape or tissue wrong and I get blisters. So now I only do tape if it’s for a special occasion or outfit. Def go with actual trans tape. Aside from supporting trans and queer business it’s just built for your chest where kt tape is not. Removal tip: SLOW. With water and soap/something else to break down the binding. I have never used any oil (like coconut) to remove it but that’s bc I never got around to buying it. Without oil it will hurt but going slow and rubbing in warm soapy water will help ~significantly~. Be kind to your skin. This is not a rip the bandage off situation. This is a very sensitive chunk of skin and you will regret it if you rip it. On usage: Be safe and trust your body. Don’t fall into the trap of it hurting a bit is normal or it’s all worth it. Everytime I’ve used tape successfully it doesn’t pull in my skin. If you do get a blister treat it like a normal injury. You may remove the tape and it won’t have popped but often it will have bc it’s attracted to the adhesive. Clean it. Cover it. Don’t futz with it. Don’t wear tape again until it’s fully healed. Hope this helps anyone who is looking
The Line with the "i like my boobs the way they are, but I also hate them sometimes" is to relatable to me. As a 27 year old female I feel this SO damn much! I don't mind them, but sometimes I really wish they would be simply "out of the way" or not so noticable. And then there are some days (okay, most of the time) where I just don't feel "female" and like to hide behind big shirts and hoodies. I simply don't like to dress as feminine as some people would want me to and I actually don't care about "showing what I've got". Actually was called a male twice. Even got my boyfriend confused when he first saw me. I should be mad about this, but it's quite the opposite and I always have to laugh about it. I kinda like the fact that I can pull off the style if I want to by simply wearing something oversized and having the hood cover my hair. Don't know if this is normal or weird but most of the time I also don't care too much about it. Missed the point of the video completely and got carried away once again. Whoops 😅 Posting this anyway because I need to learn to not let the feeling of "awkward anxiety" win and delete anything I wrote 🙈
I absolutely adore your videos! This video doesn't particularly benefit me as I'm AMAB but I found this video really insightful! Keep up the good work!
For nipple protection when wearing trans tape, I personally use adhesive nipple covers. You can get a pack of 80 (40 uses - but you can wear them for a few days with or without trans tape) for around $7 on Amazon and they also work great for covering the nips when you dont want to bind. Also, you can add just a touch of lotion first and let it dry before putting on the cover and that has helped protect my skin too, but i am also prone to dry skin. Note: never rip or pull adhesive things straight off your skin. It might not blister, but it is not good for your skin and can cause damage over time. Try using oil or lotion over and under the edges and removing the tape as it lifts and loosens. I like to take it off in a warm shower and use my body wash to help loosen the tape slowly - especially if I haven't been wearing it for more than a couple days. Happy binding and stay safe out there!
thank you for this video. I was thinking about using binder, but I didn't want to put pressure on my chest cause I have breathing issues. This is really helpful ✨️
Idk if you’ve thought of this or anyone has suggested it, but for those shirts that don’t work as shirts because they’re too thin/show too much, you can cut the design off and make it a back patch for a flannel/jacket! I do that for all my shirts that I like the design of but not the fit. Hope this helps!
Generally I just… layer unstractured bras that use different methods? Like one will push up and one will push sideways and that generally works. Especially good as I’m autistic and need to be ‘binding’ as long as I’m awake. It has the usual shortcomings of being sweaty, but it still works well. Other methods are having a tight under layer and loose over layer, slouching and overalls
I clicked this video just to find something I already do... like for 10 years now. Deffinantly safer then binding with medical wraps and I'm glad others are choosing some sort of comfort in cloths. Good job 😊
Drawing attention to other places around is another thing maybe. Doesn't really hide size/shape when you intentionally look at the chest, but if you just glance in the mirror you're less likely to focus there int he first place. Stuff like a shirt with a standing collar/buttons, interesting sleeves or hairstyle, a belt buckle, patterned/colour trousers etc.
I was like “aww this may not work :(“ at first when you said people with bigger chests but then later in the video i found that we are almost the same size! Thanks a lot! ❤❤❤❤
Another great option is threadless shirts. Great graphic prints and thick fabric that tends to hang down a lot. Get out there and confuse some normal people❤
IRIS i loved this, tysm for making vids like this, i wish i'd had creators like you when i was younger! i'm really new to minimizing my chest but have had big boobs since i started developing lol (i'm a 36F), so i've learned a lot. lots of advice below (sorry for the essay!)
first, for people with larger band and cup sizes, it's really helped to be realistic. there's no possible way i can minimize the chest the same way others can (which i think can apply to everyone - our bodies are all different). you're always going to be able to see my boobs at this size (perhaps they could be minimized more with a binder, i haven't tried one!), so i try not to get too upset about flattening 100% and find other ways to feel gender euphoria.
something not mentioned in the regular bras section are minimizer bras. these have been around foreverrrr and are really popular with larger chested cis women, and tbh they've changed my life. i wear one from vanity fair, but it reduces my side profiles a ton (by about 1-2 cup sizes, enough for me who's been used to having large boobs to go omg) because it compresses while also separating boobs out to the side (rather than pushed up as seen with other wired bras).
for larger-chested people (at least in my experience), bralettes (or bras that don't have underwire that AREN'T compression bras like sports bras) tend to make the chest look larger. this is because larger boobs weigh more and therefore sag more (and create more of that weight at the bottom that iris mentioned). i own shapermint bralettes which i love because they're so comfy, but after the first or second wear, their initial compression stretches out and the natural shape of boobs sort of takes over lol. the minimizer bra is surprisingly more comfy because it provides critical support (with the very thin, flexible underwire) but also keeps the boobs more "up" in a good way (sort of what Iris was saying when adjusting the shoulder straps).
i also minimize with clothing, though oversized clothing alone won't hide my size of chest. surprisingly, sometimes it feels more minimizing to wear a tighter tank-top with a baggy button-up or jacket. hugely recommend high-neck, broader sleeved tank-tops. from the side you'll still see boobs! but the combo of tight and loose helps feel more masculine to me while retaining some of my other shape. big jackets/things that emphasize shoulders can reduce the impact of the chest too. structured clothing items as iris said are my go-to.
not chest-related clothing, but emphasizing the lower half of your silhouette can help. baggy pants and larger shoes can de-emphasize the chest. adding lines to the lower half of the body (with a pants chain for example, or if your pants have funky seams/pockets/zippers) can also help.
posture is kind of a problem with big boobs because i already have chronic back issues and larger chested people can be predisposed to these so as a person with chronic pain plssss be careful slouching. for me i'd rather my chest be more visible than cause chronic issues in the future. so instead of thinking about slouching i think about how i carry myself. how i stand/how i distribute my weight, how i walk etc matters more for me.
finally i also like to accessorize/think about gender euphoria outside of my chest. rings and dark nail polish make me feel amazing. my haircut also makes 99% of the difference (kind of like a longer version of iris' hair hahaha, also idk why but darker hair feels nice for me). even shopping in the men's section helps, even if the men's clothing still shows my chest.
hope that helps the larger-chested folks!
THANK YOU!!! this comment is amazing and enlightening thank you so much for taking the time to write it out ❤️
@@irisolympia waitttt I’m crying that you saw this, your content means sm to me! 🥹💕 ty for all you do!

This is actually super useful, thank you! I had been just ripping it off before lol
It's also great for chiropractor visits (so you're more flexible and available, for example if you need acupuncture), and getting tattooed!
Thank you sm! I'm not trans but I'm very insecure about my chest and scared of being sexualized while I'm still a minor, this really helped! :3
I'm sorry you have to go through that. I've had a similar issue for YEARS (since I was 6, I'm now 15. Go figure.) And I'm a little weary on if I'm trans or not. (I probably have internalized transphobia 💀)
I've had issues of being sexualized as well, and I hope your able to apply these to enjoy your childhood AS A CHILD and be comfortable in your own skin

Have a lovely day
I don't have the largest chest, but it's a bit larger. Things I've learned:
Great tips!
thank you for sharing!! ❤️❤️
About your first tip, I would also mention that it does work, but doing the opposite and pushing them as far away from each other as possible and also downwards helps a lot too
First one gives so many sensory issues thoughhh
@@WhyIsTheClosetDoorOpening Adding to this comment, be careful with pushing away and down as this can be damaging for your skin! From what I understood, my top surgeon said that pressing your chest flat from the nipple into the muscle is better for your skin and less damage makes it easier for surgery. (Plus it gives a shape more in alignment with a perceived male chest)
Best wishes and happy binding!
Just so you know:
1) start binding for only a couple hours a day, maybe even less if you're not used to tight-fitting clothes.
Got nerve pain, due to binding here 🖐 couldn't agree more with this comment! 👌
I would add that if you want to swim or work out in a binder, go up 1 size, for safety.
Also i love that spiked necklace too omigosh
Anyways, sorry for going off topic
How about you try looking up y2k, grunge, band, ... shirts? Maybe that might help
video turned out pretty cool! to add to the sports bra section, i personally have one where i sized down and if you're gonna do that, definitely treat it like a binder (in means of no hard exercise, no sleeping in it, max. 8 hours, etc.) ! i have one from h&m that's extremely similar to the one in this video but most likely cheaper! :)
good to know!!!! thanks for sharing ❤️
Thx! I'm trying to figure out if I'm genderfluid and I also do wrestling so that's very important for me and others to know!

another thing i've heard a lot of ppl talk about (although haven't personally tried yet) is layering sports bras for more compression!! of course listen to your body, if it feels tight and uncomfortable don't force yourself to do it but it could be a nice alternative if you can't get a binder
other things that make me feel/look more masc are opting for low-waisted instead of high-waisted pants and also making your eyebrows a bit darker has been SUCH a game changer for me :^)
from my own past experiences i really do not recommend layering sports bras, it was really painful even when worn for short time periods and instead of flattening my chest it kinda just made it into one chunk
nah, get a binder slightly too big, just barely too big, barely... and it works just enough to flatten your chest without too much compression on your ribs, because it's a stiff fabric so y'know it just works.
Changing my Eyebrows with like tinted brow gel (I have a chi chi brand one that has fibres in it which is amazing btw) is 100% a game changer it just helps with face dysphoria
If i have dark brows i look so weird so i use a light brown gel thats barely darker than my natural brows and just chunk them up
I thought I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the words breasts or boobs. It feels like a curse😭

right, same with the guys genitalia 😭 I don't know why but the accurate words for the private parts is just icky to me
So tru tho!! Same for periods for me, I hate that word or menstrual cycle, it just makes me so uncomfortable and dysphoric. My therapist suggested "shark week" as a substitute and I love that, it's basically the only term I use for it now lol
Cropping t-shirts has been saving me. Takes the chest curve away almost completely
yesssss
I found and bought a sports top from a thrift store and it literally gets the job done, its longer than a binder but i fold it so the whole fabric hugs my tatas. Im really happy that i found it and i hope i get an actual binder in the future : )
I have a transmasc oc, and I have been thinking for weeks about what he could comfortably wear for the ✨training montages✨ cause I don't thing a full on binder would be comfortable to fight in, and this video bring up things I didn't even think about.
Trans tape shouldn't leave blisters unless you take it off too soon I think?? Or without soap
drugstore baby oil is my go to for avoiding blisters. you shouldn’t need too much, just make sure you really rub it into the entire surface of the tape, let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then take the tape off suuuuper slowly. you can also try taking it off in the shower, with or without the oil, and that should also help! happy binding :)

Saaaaaaame but I'm also closted-
look in the mirror naked... it works better if you're really skinny... but just bask in how attractive you are and it feels better, cause it's like... damn, im hot... but it's also just getting comfortable with the way you look. it may feel a bit strange at first but that's why you keep looking.
me too dude
I’m cis, but this helped me
I love dressing fem, but I’m somewhat insecure about how large my chest is. (36DDD) I know it’s not huge, but if feels like too much for me, back pain isn’t too bad either
It’s always super hard to find low-cut dresses or one-pieces in general that fit my chest and my body. Either my chest is spilling out (I’m not a fan of how it feels) or the dress fits my chest perfectly but it’s too baggy on the rest of my body
I just like to shrink the size a bit
I’m NB but like masc NB and I just have to thank you for this video. Seriously I have been struggling so much with this issue, I’ve tried anything but it just doesn’t work, but hearing your methods (especially since we have similar sized chests) gave me some hope on this. I figured I was just never gonna figure it out but these suggestions seem possible to me! Thank you so much ❤

Aww that is a true good person folks!😢
get a binder slightly too big, just barely too big, barely... and it works just enough to flatten your chest without too much compression on your ribs, because it's a stiff fabric so y'know it just works. make sure theirs a little wiggle room. just a little. not too much. but just enough. i have one that would probably fit tightly on my older sister, or my aunt even, (just for size comparison really) and im only slightly smaller than them, but just make sure there's a little bit of wiggle room, and it still works with no problem
@@liammiller8112 we'll try that out! If that doesnt work were just gonna settle for trans tape lol
Thank you for the tips on how to help with chest dysphoria :). I love your channel!
thanks for watching!!!
You helped me with my chest dysphoria
An add on to the layering. I EXIST off of flannel shirts. Layering as you said helps but also big patterns help to distract the eye from seeing your chest. (I’m not kidding I almost have the entire rainbow in flannels so I can put them over any shirt)
Where do you buy flannels? I need some for myself 🥲
I didn’t want to parrot what’s already said in the video or comments, but there’s lots of other great tips that might work better for you!
this is a great tip!! thanks for sharing 💌
Cheers!
I sometimes just fold it over once to help kinda smoothen the curve so its not as dramatic
I usually layer sports bras and wear baggy shirts
hey! i also have some clothing sensory issues, especially the thing you were talking about with when the fabric is too soft!! i definitely was intimidated when i tried transtape for the first time because of the sensory stuff and it took me a while to get comfy with it, but now trans tape is one of my fav options! just wanted to throw this in here for anyone else who is worried abt transtape w sensory issues :) (I'm also a trans guy so I wear it like almost everyday, it's important to be safe and take taping breaks!
Happy binding!
friendly reminder/tip: posture too can work better than binding, and also some ppl will have fully different expectations on how gender expression relates to gender - for example, i got misgendered whilst binding many times, but also got ppl calling me by he/him (right ones for me) even without binders, or even layers! just a thin, loose tank top, which has pretty wide “holes” (forgot the proper term 😭 sorry 😅😂), and also with a quite “droopy” fabric!
and another example is that many cis people get misgendered as well, even ones who arent necessarily “gender non-conforming”
also, a lot of it is tied to bs eurocentric ideals of how people “”should”” look like, which doesnt do anyone any good
obviously, all here for dressing however makes us feel better! just always good to keep these in mind, rly helps me find the line between gender euphoria and dysphoria from the type of dysphoria that’s only related to colonialist expectations - i personally used to dress and act mostly according to those, but now after top surgery and a few years on T, i’m finally feeling at home in my own body enough to let myself explore things that go against those colonial ideals of “masculinity”, like “feminine” aesthetics, acting “camp”, etc 🥰
I just wanna say tysm for mentioning young people too! It makes me feel so happy when someone mentions that!
to personally share my experience with these options I have tried both trans tape and compression tops as they seem the most practial for me. whie binders can be really compressive and you can feel alot more pressure, the compression tops I have (they're also the adjustable strap ones) in size small definitely help reduce the shape of my chest at the sides and makes me feel secured, they have a pretty seamless and nice fit. trans tape is suuuper helpful for people that wear clothing of differnt cuts/materials as its the most practical (I can wear shirts that have a longer v-neck, off the shoulder tops, and generally other clothes w kinks in them). yes, definitely round those corners when cutting the tape and I suggest when buying make sure the tape is thick (large 5"), makes it for easier application and more coverage. to remove, its easiest after a warm shower and to make sure its been after a while of wearing. ik transtape also has oil for removal but after I ran out of that I used a massage oil but I've heard baby oil works great too. again thank you for this! there were so many options in here and I loved watching it. your videos when coming to gender expression through clothing is always a lifesaver
thank you for sharing with us!! 💌✨
Hope it reaches the people that need it 🙌
this is so positive and uplifting - you are so fantastic for creating it. keep up the fantastic work! (or rest if you need to xxx)
thanks for watching!! i appreciate that sm hehe
I’m non-binary and want a binder so badly, but my parents don’t support it. I usually just do a few things to hide my chest.
1) I put bandages over my chest (on top of a sports bra) and tape it in place
2) I wear a lot of layers. I can wear a long sleeve shirt, T-shirt, and tank top all at once
3) I slouch a lot
I hope this helps someone out there.

It’s so interesting seeing how people get creative with stuff like this, tho it feels weird to watch binder video’s, since I don’t get people not wanting boobs😅 (I love them)
I don't get how people like the dysphoria orbs 😭
I was once a cis lesbian getting ftm content… oh how the tides have changed (im genderfluid now)
putting this in a playlist so I don’t lose it 🙏
Thanks for this video!
ow! thank you for sharing your experience with us 💌
yeah i have a couple of scars from kt tape binding too tightly, lol. worth it though 🥲
I wear my binder a lot more than I perhaps should because i wear it to school but I can't really use any other option for school because my school uniform is basically a suit and it is really obvious to me when I try to wear a sports bra instead of a binder and it makes me uncomfortable
But when I'm not around other people like if I'm just in the house I find that I can be OK wearing just a t-shirt or just a sports bra
really useful video. as amab gonna see where I can do the opposite to this in some cases? one persons dysphoria can be another persons euphoria. keep up the good work !!
exactly!! thanks for watching 💌
Tip for getting chest is wearing bras with padding, as Iris said in the video padding is compression's enemy but it'll be your best friend 🙃
I'm a cis man, but I want to use this for character design and storytelling in the future
Update: I'm enby (I think) lol
Thanks for learning more about the trans community ❤ good luck with writing your stories.
I wish you good look on writing accurate characters! Just a reminder if you do write a transmasc character that trans people can feel dysphoric and euphoric from different things, so maybe include some more underrepresented experiences like dysphoria from your height or hair texture for examples or euphoria from a specific style or mannerism
Ooooohhhh
you’re so rad 🤘
Ayyyyyy, same!!
I’m feeling extremely confused about my gender identity and you’ve been helping me so much. Thank you for these resources. 💜
There are some things I want to say about it:
7. The do's and don't's of tape:
Do swim and shower with it on if that's your vibe.
Don't do intense exercise with it on. (Nothing more stressful than jogging)
Do be shirtless with it on at the beach if that's your vibe.
Don't pull it too tight.
Do watch videos on how to apply it that are based around your cup size. (Im quite small, so I watch ones that have the same size as me.)
Don't wear tape if you're having an allergic reaction or keep getting blisters because you're in a hot climate.
Do sleep with it on cause you can wear it for multiple days.
And lastly:
Do slay in your tape if it works for you because you look so flat, my peep.
(No more than 8 hours)
Hope this makes sense, and I'm sorry for how long it is.
Hope this helped 🤘
thank you for sharing!!

i'm a trans guy with a larger chest, i bind daily and for long hours.
idk why I'm watching this since I don't want to hide my chest or anything but I'm glad you guys have some helpful resources!!
Really one of the best "tuts" I ever saw
THANK YOU
This is a well timed video for me! But I'm trying!
ok ima throw my 2 cents in here.
so, for reference and comparing, im 5'8 220Ibs and a 40DD ok. and i've tried binders, bras and trans tape. and i can get a more masc-ish chest but it's never flat cause i got those tiggobittys
so i've tried different brands of binders, and then better one i've found for me is spectrum binders, they flatten the side bottom curve nicely. but also i can't bind for more then 6-7 hrs with out my back hurting so i don't wear it often.
what i wear most the time is just a good sports bra and a graphic tshirt. a more square or bigger print tends to make the shirt hang more square. and a jacket or flannel can do wonders. a good flannel works better then a hoodie for me.
my advice for is look for tips and video from people with a similar body type as you, cause what works for a smaller chest won't work for a big chest ect.
anyway, good video, good advice!
one thing that i've done to hide my boobas is get a very stretchy and slightly thick child sized tank top. i stretched the arms of it to make sure it wouldn't hurt my arm pits, and i wouldn've done it to the bottom of it and the neck aswell if they weren't already big enough to fit me. if you have a smaller chest, as in ribbcage size not booba size, it works super well! my boobas are medium size right now and it still works super well! doesn't compress as much as an actual binder, but works better then sports bras. it's affordable, since it's children's clothing you can get some very unique designs and colors(i have a purple one and a green one😁), and i've done exercise in them and it didn't bother me at all! you just have to make sure the fabric is stretchy enough tho, i've tried wearing one that wasn't as stretchy and it gave me friction burns because of how tight it was...so if you wanna try this, test it out, put it on before buying it. also, i believe it'd be a bit hard to put on for most people, i don't struggle with it because my shoulders are hypermoble, but someone who doesn't have that mobility would probably struggle a lot... not much different from the struggle of putting on a common binder tho😂
I need to know where you get them from and in what age size
Additional things about trans tape from what I've tried:
It does work better for me than the times I've tried binding.
Love that you are honest about brands!
honestly thank you for this 😭 I often wear my binder too much, I’m so uncomfortable without it. I wear it to school all day and then 3 days a week, go to my dads for a few hours after school. I wear it the whole time and it KILLS my back. so thanks:))
i want to bind so bad. like so bad. i’m trying to do my research so that when i can buy some on my own, i know what to get but until then, i just wear two sports bras (i’ve heard people say to wear one of them backwards but that makes it more hard to breathe imo)
this video was a very helpful guide. those recaps are going in my enby information google doc, and i am definitely coming back to this channel! thank you so much!! from a young enby ♡
so excited to have found this video, my size has made me uncomfortable since the boobs came out and my posture has suffered from it so i hope this will help!! THANK YOU 💕
After 2021, GC2B's quality has taken a nosedive and hasn't been considered safe for binding anymore because of it.
My pre-2021 binders from GC2B are wonderful, and i got my last one (i only have 2) very close to when they were notably worse, and the difference in quality from my 2017 number is immense. You aren't imagining the drop in quality, GC2B is just like that now.
They did just release a new line tho. Have you tried the 2.0?
Hope this helps anyone who is looking
we have the same exact cup size! feels nice to see someone exactly like me to succeed! Gives hope :)
hehehe
OMG TYSM
I absolutely adore your videos! This video doesn't particularly benefit me as I'm AMAB but I found this video really insightful! Keep up the good work!
hehe thanks for watching anyway!!
Thanks so much for this !!! I’ve got a large chest and I have difficulty with how flat I can get with binding alone
thank you for this video. I was thinking about using binder, but I didn't want to put pressure on my chest cause I have breathing issues.
This is really helpful ✨️
WAKE UP! new iris video!! and a fun helpful one!!
Iris giving me energy to pursue Gender euphoria as always. The hair is so *chefs kiss*
OH MY GOSH YOU’RE AN ANGEL TYTYTYYY you put in so much work and this is so helpful as a person with transphobic parents
My tip relates to fabric thickness, you guys, large embroidery and patches on the chest of shirts and jumpers are legendary
No posture is bad posture is really funny to me for some reason- ❄️✨
I clicked this video just to find something I already do... like for 10 years now. Deffinantly safer then binding with medical wraps and I'm glad others are choosing some sort of comfort in cloths. Good job 😊
Drawing attention to other places around is another thing maybe. Doesn't really hide size/shape when you intentionally look at the chest, but if you just glance in the mirror you're less likely to focus there int he first place. Stuff like a shirt with a standing collar/buttons, interesting sleeves or hairstyle, a belt buckle, patterned/colour trousers etc.
AAAAAAA thank you so much!!! I appreciate the amount of work you put into this video :D
thanks for watching!!!
Been excited for this video! Thank you, love your videos! Hope you're doing better ❤
thanks for your support hehehe i’m doing good!
Watching your videos is just so comforting! Thank You for Everything 🖤
I was like “aww this may not work :(“ at first when you said people with bigger chests but then later in the video i found that we are almost the same size! Thanks a lot! ❤❤❤❤
yay!!
Another great option is threadless shirts. Great graphic prints and thick fabric that tends to hang down a lot. Get out there and confuse some normal people❤
When you said your chest size I was shook mate you are sooo good at this! Thanks for the video!
