What I love to do is a kind of guyliner but with red eyeshadow under the eyes and a bit of brown on the top, I think it looks like i haven’t slept in weeks but in a good way
yes to guyliner tutorial - I wanna try it on my bf, I think it’ll suit him sm hehe. This method is great too and I will be trying instead of my usual wing look!
I also love eyeliner on guys, and historical Chinese dramas never fail to make me happy with the makeup they do on the guys 😂 it really enhances their features if done right
I think a guyliner tutorial would be cool! I can't figure eyeliner in general out yet so your help would be much appreciated! This video was SOOOOO great for my lil enby butt who can't do makeup right on their own lol.
thank you for yet another helpful enby tip tutorial :3 I'm genderfluid and personally until I discovered your channel I've had a big struggle to find my comfort space when it comes to androgynous looks
Okay- out of all the makeup tutorials I've seen this is the only one that looks so doable for someone who has never dabbled in makeup at all. I cannot stress how achievable you made this seem 😱
The subtle bottom liner is so so amazing!! And the mascara!! I'm not sure if this was the idea but the makeup is giving me such a masc and pretty vibe.
I definitely like the idea of a guyliner tutorial! I wanna start doing my makeup in a less feminine way, and i feel like you could totally help me with that 😊
Your mascara looks so masculine, but if you ever want an even more subtle look (just because some days it feels better I guess), try using an eyelash curler and then use clear mascara on top. I started doing this as I don't love black eyeliner on me (I'm so pale it's always too noticeable for my comfort). If you just use an eyelash curler, the curl won't hold for longer than like 10 minutes but the clear mascara dries and holds the curl in the lashes while also making them look thicker and longer like black mascara (assuming you get an ok quality clear mascara). Also, brown mascara also exists and achieves a similar effect to swapping black for brown eyeliner.
My biggest problem with makeup currently is that makeup has always (since I’ve started wearing makeup obviously) been really important to me and my self expression. I’m always experimenting and just being bold and trying new stuff. So lots of colors and eyeliner, glitter, whatever I come up with that day. I never follow a tutorial all the way because I always get carried away with my imagination. It’s like an art form to me, and because of that I’ve gotten pretty good at it. It’s a pretty big source of like pride and joy. But lately doing anything but like very very basic makeup makes me dysphoric. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to stop doing my makeup. How can I like balance it out? I have been coloring my eyebrows for that bold but still androgynous look and that’s helped some.
I love your videos and seeing how beautifully different androgyny is. I adore how everybody has their own way of expressing and understanding androgyny, and it just shows that you can always get creative with it! I like shimmery and colorful make up, but i still LOVED the video and will definitely try this one out! 🌟
Hey Iris, thanks for that video, really have struggled with makeup as a nb person myself so this feels like a call from heaven lol, best of wishes to you dude ✨💜
A guyliner guide would be amazing. Any tips on lining the water line would be greatly appreciated. It is very intimidating having a pencil that close to my eye especially since I can't see it very well without my glasses. I've never experimented with makeup before, but I want to try it and lean more masc with it
fellow glasses wearer here, i feel u omg its been years since i was able to see my face clearly in the mirror 😭😭 but honestly the waterline is less intimidating than it seems! what really helps me is to get my fingers as close as possible to pull my eyelid down (so the waterline is not directly on my eyeball anymore) and also to lean my hands/arms against the mirror for stability :)) work in small strokes as well to get used to the feeling!! wishing u luck
Try closing your eye and using an automatic twist up pencil to run it along top lashes from inner eye to outer, don't twist up much, it will be softer tip and more comfortable as no wood to rub you and you never have to sharpen it. You can also use a tiny fine line brush which is soft to get it into the lash root. A creamy kohl or gel one might be good to apply easily as it will be smooth. You don't need an expensive one.
I used your guyliner method and omg I loved it so much 😭 I was avoiding makeup cause it made me look feminine but this is so helpful because I love eyeliner
You look fantastic! My go to at the moment (I’m agender but love playing with makeup) is smudged brown liner, dark red shadow smudged on top and through the crease, some white glitter on top, heaps of bronzer and blush and a blood coloured lip product. I’m like super into vampire stuff so I kinda try to emulate the vibes of having just drunk with my lipstick haha
This is awesome! This is literally exactly what I already do! Haha, even though I didn’t learn anything it was super affirming, so thank you! You look great.
I have a very love-hate relationship with my makeup because I love doing eyeliner, wear lipstick and all of that stuff it makes me feel really beautiful and confident but at the same time it feminises my face and sometimes even makes me feel dysphoric and I kinda don't know what to do like I just what to wear make up but in a guy way😭😭
I always think "guyliner" is a bit of a strange word. Like you're not lining a guy; you're lining an eye. I also just see it as guys who don't want to say they wear eyeliner trying to make themselves feel more masculine, which I understand, but there's nothing to say that eyeliner isn't masculine. Calling the same thing a different name doesn't make it more or less masculine. Hopefully make-up will eventually be seen as for a wider demographic and not as an attack on masculinity as the only masculinity it threatens is toxic, fragile masculinity. (I'd love an eyeliner or "guyliner" tutorial though. I think we wear similar eyeliner styles so it'd be cool to see how you do yours)
I get what you mean but guyliner is a popular term in pop culture that brings a specific image to mind (I'd suggest you look it up) so that's probably why they used the term
This is such a late reply but I absolutely understand that. I should have worded it better lol but I meant I don't like the term generally, not that they used it. I literally use the term "guyliner" myself because you're absolutely right; it is just the most convenient way to get the idea across. Like I don't like that "golf" originally meant "gentlemen only, ladies forbidden" but I still call it "golf" because it's the most natural way to refer to it.
Also don't worry I absolutely understand guyliner haha. I have so many examples of it saved on my phone that I intend to try to recreate to find a more interesting eyeliner style than just the one or two I rotate.
Oh my god thank you so much for this video. Im nonbinary and just recently realized that, and after following this tutorial i could actually see ME in the mirror when i put my hair up. Thank you SO SO much again it gave me so much gender euphoria
what I like to do for my lips when I wear makeup is to wear a brownish shade with really no tint of pink or red, so a grey brown brown and I'll just apply a little
Great video ❤ 📹 Hello 👋 from a fellow Non-Binary I'm your new subscriber and I'm here to stay to support you and I have watched a couple your videos 📹 😉 Keep up the great work 👍 Your are doing WONDERFUL!!, EXCELLENT!! I have a similar liking for the fashion style you like but mine is more inspired by Visual-Kei & J-Rock 『specifically the J-Rock band SuG』(I'm a huge fan of their's) (I'm mixed Japanese (just in case if your wondering why I'm so into Japanese related stuff)By the way I have not told anyone on the Internet about me this much at all, I guess you can really tell that I'm feeling right at home at a channel that I'm pretty much completely new to, probably because this is the right channel for me as a nonbinary to emphasis that aspect of mine and also because I actually realised that despite being new to your channel I have a lot in common or at least similar opinions as you, I guess I can say that, that's probably like the best way to put it out 😊 I guess it's a miracle that I found someone one who I have a lot in common with after 3-4 ish years now 😅😊 The only other people whom I have a lot in common with are SuG (of course(My Fav ♥ Musicians 😊) and Akidearest (My favorite UA-camr ) and some other UA-camrs, musicians and some other people (but definitely not many people) Ps. Love your hair I have a similar hair cut ✂️ but it's more like a Soft Pixie hair cut (It's essential like a Japanese version of the Pixie Cut, I guess. I know that many Japanese girls who have these short layered cuts tend to have this sort of hair style, I think, from what I know and I'm saying all of this from my personal experience as an Asian (or half asian) my self) But I really do ♥ my hair a lot and it definitely suits me extremely well 😊❤🎉 Thank you for any one who took their time out their day to read this long ass comment but anyways Tq 😊 I really appreciate it 🤣😉❤
hi iris! i was wondering if you could please do a 360 of your hair because i really wanted to get the same haircut. love yout content! i think im non binary as well and you are such a big inspiration to me :)
Hey, I rly like your videos. I was wondering if you (or anyone in the comments tbh) could help me style a skirt in a more masc way (ik this video wasn't an outfit video I'm sorry!!). I love skirts but I haven't been comfy wearing one in a while because I feel like I look too fem. Thanks yall
