  • A 2019 documentary exploring the historic roots and ongoing relationship between racism & American Christianity(!)
The 2008 election of Barack Obama led many to believe we had entered a post-racial America, one in which the nation′s traumatic and painful history of racism had finally been erased. In the years since, it's become increasingly clear that the deep roots of racism & white supremacy continue to run through our political, cultural and religious institutions. Based on interviews & current research, the documentary film ″White Savior″ explores the historic relationship between racism & American Christianity, the ongoing segregation of the Church in the US, and the complexities of racial reconciliation.
Featuring interviews with Lenny Duncan, Soong Chan Rah, Jacqueline Woodson, Jim Bear Jacobs, Dominique Gilliard, and more…

I don’t want to discount the things that happen in the Bible to take apart the slavery area, but they also say that there were things used to maintain it. I will also say that we were not Christian Muslims before we were converted under that narrative I would say, there is several Hatif writtenabout freedom and how was recommended to your slaves and how slavery was a punishment for not being pious these were the things that also motivated people to either buy their freedom or fight for it the Quran will have complacency, gender, and Christian philosophy

Well, currently in Catholicism, perennial theology is defended by African black bishops while in Europe, with the Pope at the head, defends multiculturalism and progressivism.

The Pope doesn't adhere to Scripture and aligns his "theology" more with modernism than He does with our Lord and Savior in Scripture. We are to take on the culture (ways) of Christ Jesus and not pollute or dilute them with anything else! Skin color is totally irrelevant to that, as are the roots of our geographic cultures and related heritage if they do not align with what the Lord has clearly revealed that He wants for us and from us all. Such as "offering up" our suffering (past, present, and future) with Jesus on the cross instead of continuing to desire punishing others for generations and centuries after they have happened. Children are NOT responsible for the sins of their fathers.

Biblically speaking, there are more than a few issues to address with what this documentary puts forward. I didn't note them while watching the film, but one of the most glaring was the whole "white Jesus" concept which is utter nonsense because Jesus (the man) was a Jew from the Middle East not a white Anglo-Saxon European. Also, if black people, or people of a non-white skin color, have such a problem with that then they should really ask themselves what color Jesus is in them if He actually resides within them with the Holy Spirit. We are either Christians or we are not, we're not white, black, brown, or Asian Christians because our identity is supposed to come from Christ not our skin color.

Well said! I was so disappointed to see a divisive/ divide and conquer video in a spiritual collection. As you say here: "We are either Christians or we are not, we're not white, black, brown, or Asian Christians because our identity is supposed to come from Christ not our skin color."💗

I'm sorry but the last people that could tell me about God or righteousness are W. people.

Then you have a lot to learn about what it truly entails to be adopted into the Lord's family regardless of your skin color or where you come from.
