I don't understand the connection between Peter the apostle being the first Pope yet he's killed by the same Pagan Romans, I think this is false pretension without foundation. In fact emperor Nero was worshipped as a god, let's just be honest Peter was never the first Pope and he has nothing to do with it. The Papacy was rooted firmly in 538AD, several centuries after Peter's death.
