🚨 Some Total D*** Tried to Burn Down the Dark Star Magick Bookstore in Portland....!

- In an incident that shocked the entire occult community, Dark Star Magick bookstore in Portland, OR was just attacked by a hate-motivated criminal who broke their window and doused their Pride display with hand sanitizer before lighting it on fire, nearly burning the store to the ground. The proprietors of the store (who are delightful) join the show to talk about the incident, what it means for the wider community, and how the occult world has rallied to their aid. Also, we talk about Babalon a lot. This is an excellent show, and you're gonna dig it!

i have visted the store twice the last few times i was in PDX. I really feel for the owners of Dark Star and my heart is with them. I have ALWAYS been treated kindly by dark star and I will visit EVERY time i go back now.
I live on the other side of the country and have ordered from them. They have an excellent selection of rarities.
Thank you for highlighting this store, they have an excellent book collection and have been holding lectures on all sorts of esoteric and occult topics. Such an important part of our community.

All of the KGW video headlines I just read, suggest that Portland has a serious vandalism issue. 🤔
Since 2020, it has gotten worse than people ever thought, but BLM and Antifa focus on neighborhoods where there are more Blacks. The Democrats letting the criminals free is a factor beyond that. I heard someone I knew got almost no time for attacking a police officer and didn't even have to stay overnight for a burglary.
I love Black Star Magick and they’re wonderful selection! Hearing about this happening is so horrible. I’m glad to hear they got a grant to repair all the damages though. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future of Dark Star Magick and highly looking forward towards the speaker based events coming!

So much I want to say here but it all comes back to this.
I've heard it said that when one goes to prison, ine must choose to join the gang that alligns with their ethnicity. If you are white, better join the Aryan Nation, black, better join Nation of Islam, latino, what ever their gang is. It isn't about "believing" what these groups beliwve, its about being protected from the "others". Seems to me that the whole arena of social and pilitical discourse has become like prison pilitics. A detest this development. And as reasonable as Jason and his guests seem here, I don't see much to disuade me from my position. Its terribly sad and demoralizing.

First they said their store was nearly burnt down, now they are saying there was minimal damage.
You didn’t listen to the video. Their store got somewhat burnt down but the fire crew got there in good time. Also they said there are grants to get the place repaired and damages all paid for. So things are rough but will be coming back stronger than ever as I imagine. Dark Star is an incredible shop and will continue to be an wonderful book store with a great selection.
