- Global Agenda is back from the dead... well kind of, a few keen eyed players saw that the servers had come back up, so I just had to hop on.

I miss this game quite a lot. I took a break from it for about 1 year, and when I was gonna get back into it, the servers were down. I showed it to a friend back in the day and we played it all the time. Now we both hope a new game will come out that is similar to this. Really do hope that GA 2 will be a thing

I'd go back to paying a subscription to be able to play this again.
They should have kept that model and not done the mtx store. I'd much rather pay 15 to 20 a month. Things are fair, I can play with cosmetics without being nickel and dimed, and it keeps out some of the riffraff. They had something real good there, funny how instead of building on their great start they took a completely different turn completely off course and off the map to clown world.
@@df6597 honestly, they should have made the game 19.99, had a cosmetic shop, that you also earned points to use from normal play, and just waited 3-6mo to drop the game officially, so it wasnt against fucking overwatch or some other similar juggernaut studios works
i wouldnt pay 15-20/mo, now, if they wanted to make it part of a 4.99/mo sub service like EA's or ms's or a few others, i could get down with that, honestly, these servers do not take much in the way of resources to run these days, they re-task some servers that arent up to hosting newer titles to host enough servers to keep the community happy without much effort, or cost, if they wanted to make more from the game, imho it would need to be converted to having stuff like the single player campaign and DLC's stored locally, they could sell content expansions, more coop story, with more pvp and pvpve maps, i would be ok with this, more so, if they dropped a kit that allowed players to make maps/content for the game, if games like STO and Neverwinter can do it, part of the sub service could be access to those tools and the content made with them.... though.. i think i would make access something people could pay normal in game currency/time to gain, and allow access to the tools to anybody, allow people to tip in both in game currency and cash shop tokens, or even gift a sub, i know there was a mission a fellow in STO made that was f-ing amazing, took like 45min, but got all your dailies done in one go, was fun, and had a multi path story that randomly ordered itself per run, so no 2 consecutive runs were ever the same for us.. we looked the creator up, and verified it was him, and 3 of us gave him time cards for the game, (after it went f2p), that gave him 90 days each, dude got over a year in time cards and monthly currency from our group... he genuinely cried... we learned hes a disabled vet who, bought the game early on but after his first 90 days couldnt afford to play, so hadnt played till the f2p was announced and his wife got him a clearance copy of the game more knowing he would like the IRL stuff it came with... that gave him time and tokens to play.. and.. well, dude ended up having somebody we knew donate him a lifetime sub when it was on sale, and then got added to a fleet that once that upgrade system was launched.. ensured that he got enough fleet marks to cover anything he wanted to buy once they maxxed the fleet out.. fast enough they were 3rd fleet to do it according to cryptic..) anyway... that mission... was a blast... all the combat in space, good story, funny ground run around portion that was just a "run and grab all these things and bring them back here and drop some on the ground" (one of each... the other 7 you could sell on the exchange after your run... or save till you had a full stack then sell them on the exchange..hehe..) that dude was epic... cryptic were told many times they should hire him to work from home creating content for them and debugging older content.. he also re-created 2 of the classic missions, without the scripting bugs the originals likely still haveto this day... that sometimes make you re-start them to get them to progress beyond a bug point..)

just read somewhere that they open it for the nostalgia, without even been listed to STEAM, but old players found it (one of them). And it will be open till end of August.
Do you know if it will be playable after that time period or only as an event? I would be very sad :(

I just noticed this came back up a few days ago, Unfortunately I wasn't there at the moment of servers coming back up but I still love this game a lot, and I am going to enjoy this once more until they close it down again, but seeing the dedication to the IP gives me just a little bit of hope for it's future.

If they are finally getting to GA 2 that would be amazing. Loved this game back in the day. My favorite mode was Payload and capture the point.
To me, just anything with GA's likeness but maybe with UE5 would be dope as hell.

I saw this game was back up n almost shat myself. I loved this game, last time I played (by steams record) was oct 11, 2014. All this is bringing back so much. Now if only they brought back Tribs.. I love Hi-Rez so much, they consumed a large chunk of my gaming history. Under-rated free to play games, through n through. The "buy/pay2win" aspects weren't bad at all.
They really did a lot to pioneer F2P games tbh. I can’t think of a game they’ve made since Smite though.
Yes bro tribes is actually on steam u can play if u know your account name but they need to bring that back to definitely their best games by far they took away from us
@@DracVV i tried it a bit after this comment, i was killed 8 times by an aim botter with infinite jetpack. just sitting at the top of the map shooting down on all 3 of us... uninstalled right after, re installed Urban Terror instead. Now am happy again.

By the halls of heaven and hell. I remember my maxed out medic. I was a MENACE in pvp, nigh unstoppable in so many matches On top of being able to swing Boss Fights with my hps. And YES this games Payload pvp was incredible. I have no idea why, but every single payload match was so close.

You must not remember this game very well. It was designed for team synergy. If you were lacking in an area it was next to impossible to complete. Good teams would stand out and excel. Soloing was INSANELY hard. There has never been a game like this and it's sad. This game was absolutely amazing!
amen brother. I remember playing and getting hard stuck at lvl 16 i believe because the next mission was so hard that unless you had a huge team you couldn't advance any further into the game. damn I mastered the early game though.

@@-SashaAlex- they shifted their focus to PvE content that nobody wanted and then went f2p, which would explain a lack of PVP content

If they do GA2 I would play it. I miss the good old loved days with GA. I still know I had a couple in austria (If I remember correctly) I was allways playing with. The last message I got from them was some years ago where they have told me they dont play anymore because the games kinda dead and started to play Star Treck online haha. Was kinda sad, but yeah maybe I will meet them againe :P Maybe they see the comment here and reply, who knows

This game was best looking game at the time.
Graphic was great and combat abilities were fucking amazing.
Classes,abilities,flying,stealth...game was 50x better than apex legends
(pvp wise) pve was repetitive as fuck.

no, just played. theres a login bug. just try and try again. I got a script online that launchs multible tabs and logins for me. you might have to quit and try again multible times.

@@RobbieForReal they was never down after 2022, and yeah official servers
They are always restarts at 12:00 am and 09:00 pm Moscow time so the bugs will be fixed (the login bug which people misunderstanding as servers down) and bug where you can't get into dome
When you can't login into, just try more or wait 10 minutes and try again, it can be a login bug
@@OldViktor Gotcha, I'll try here in a bit. At the time, I had booted my version of the game and I was never able to get in. I saw other people also agree that it shut down again which fueled that sentiment.

they lost me and all our friends when they banned the most honest person we all knew, for "cheating" because some people reported him.... they checked his stats and they went up, they failed to note, his stats went up when he changed from sniper recon to bomber, and you cant aimbot those bombs... their own site admitted they had zero anti-cheat and just checked stats, if you got better from changing stuff around or whatever, and somebody reported you, you got the boot, with no appeal...
the game died within a few years, we also gave them video clips and screenshots of hacked weapons/items in use by peopled stuff like weapons with more D's then the game could legit drop on them, later i learned that you could actually cause that with cheat engine using tables from several websites and their servers were stupid enough to save whatever the client told them they had.. even stuff that was outside what the game could actually drop... i never tried it, i had already removed the game but one of our friends posted a video using a fresh account and... well...the results were shocking... he could flatout clone peoples loadout, crash the game, reload the game back into the same match... to the loadout the person was using they chose to copy, end of session, the config saves.. including items you didnt have unlocked.. i was done with hi-rez games then... when i saw their take on tribes... well... theres a reason the community has kept the originals alive all these decades... and even made patches to get those old starsiege games working on modern windows...
