Thank you brother I just bought a 2011 Maxima SV sport super black color it has a few little scratches your technique has made my car look show room finish quality thank you
jfmthuglove Sweetness!!
There are many factors in getting a good result. One plan I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Magic Painter Method (check it out on google) definately the most helpful course that I've heard of. look at this unbelievable website.
Good video. I purchased a paint thickness gauge. Really takes out the guesswork and you can measure as you sand/polish, to check your progress. Also , if your shopping for a pre owned car, you can walk around the car and see the variance in thickness that will tell you if there was collision damage. Could save you thousands of dollars in either case.
Fantastic information, video, and presentation. Thank you!!!
Great video, a little on the long side but still the information and presentation is great. Keep up the good work.
Still above my skill level. But thanks very good information.
youre videos are brilliant ;) Your work is brilliant
This guy knows his stuff.
Are you crazy or blind?
I disliked you at first but now i am subscribed & fing love you & your sarcastic sense of humor! At first i could not understand why you had to try and simplify everything but now I understand that most people are morons & have to be taught in a very slow and simple manor.. Kind of pathetic.... useless generation.
Great tutorial!
Transfer can be easily removed with lacquer thinner or automotive prep liquid.Wash the area afterward and fix scratches like in this video.
re the thickness gauge, I have heard that often, the clear coat is not applied to the whole vehicle. (for example, the door pillars). So, by taking the difference between coated & non-coated measurements, an approximate measurement of the clear coat can be determined. I'm a desktop non-detailer geek with a thickness gauge, and the difference for my car is about what we'd expect - 2 mil.
Just a quick question what if your vehicle has wax or pair sealant and has scratches and it was wet sanded and polished just like what was done on this video, would that leave those spots unprotected? And therefore needs to be resealed?
Very imformative
Hi Friends,
Do new micro fiber towels scratches the clear coat instead of avoiding
them ? So they need a wash before 1st use ?
Yesterday I tried removing scratches using sanding and polishing process
but ended up with lots and lots of minor crisscross scratches.
To clear my doubt, I used a washed micro fiber today end finally
revealed those scratches were due to the fresh new MF.
Please guide me on any other tips and tricks to avoid scratches due to
MF.
Thanks.
Nice video, however i thought the shadow was a large scrape on truck.. WOW
Actually 3m has wet dry paper made for the Jewelry industry that goes to 12000 grit that works equally well on clear coat.
awesome, informative video buddy.b well work safe
no I actually wanted to know how to put a scatch on my car
DingoTheKid 😂 lol

DingoTheKid Jesus his finger nail
wish this was in 1080p
why not just used a DA polisher?
Was simply pointing out that it can be done by hand for guys/girls who don't want to buy a polisher or want to attempt it by hand.
oh i see, very nice!
how would I remove touch up blobs from my car??
These videos are pretty good overall. Just wonder why someone who details Bentleys and Ferraris would ever consider getting within 10 feet of a Turtle Wax product. That worries me. At the very least, meguiars m105. Even that is a bit too "over the counter" for someone cleaning high end luxury cars. By the way, paper grits go up to 5,000.
Don't worry, be happy. I am very familiar with sand paper grit. 5000 grit is extreme for virtually any case to do with detailing. And don't worry about getting to close to Turtle Wax, I did break out in hives ever so briefly, but I'm better now.
Auto Fetish Detail we use 5,000 grit all the time on high end cars. It certainly does have its place when doing Concours level detailing like the vehicles you work on. Do some research, especially Mike Phillips work. Far as the turtle wax goes, for 99% of "professional" detailers, and I would assume the same percentage of high end luxury car owners, if you show up with anything made by Turtle Wax, or even anything else that can be purchased at Walmart, your credibility and your job would end right then and there. That's the oldest joke in the book. I wouldn't want someone working on an old beat up farm truck with turtle wax. So many things wrong with that. You're quite brave for putting that video out there. I would NEVER want my customers to know I cleaned their $200,000 car with a $3 polish. Again, the videos are pretty good overall, even if you are essentially teaching everyone how to do it themselves instead of taking it to us, the professionals. So thanks for that.
Well, there is a market for every demographic. Anyone looking to spend 2K on a complete detail job is rather unlikely to be searching on T+UA-cam for a resource. My high-end customers are too busy leaving their busy life's making their fortunes and in may ways are paying for convenience, trust, consistency, and workmanship. Ultimately, they don't care how I produce the results, just as long as I can produce them. And perhaps I either mislead or you heard wrong, but I don't use Turtle Wax professionally, I simply use retail products to demonstrate or to illustrate specific points. There are in fact numerous retail products that can produce acceptable results if the right technique is used. But is a case by case...
Auto Fetish Detail I agree with you, all you are showing the avg "joe" may get good results from consumer grade products, bottom line it comes to proper technique to get a good job, as Prodetailer you no doubt will use more higher end products, but bottom line it comes down to technique and getting good results and satisfied customers !!! Good job and vids
Auto Fetish Detail I suspect the reaction like you see here more to do with pride and ego than anything else. People are likely more reluctant to use cheap retail products because they're more worried about how they look to other professionals than they are about how the product actually performs.
why not just use clay to get the "transfer" off? that magic eraser seems to act like almost wet sanding the paint. very abrasive..
Sean Welch The clay wouldn't leave anything for you to have to polish it would just leave you paint therefore saving you one step in the process.
save yourself some time and whatnot and just go straight for Meguires Ultimate compound.....
the longest video tutorial for simple car scratches repair evvver!
Video is way to long, I cant watch
you talk too much and never got down to actually doing the job.
