    Have you ever seen a start location quite this good? Well today we play with one of the best leaders on one of the most busted spawns ever, and trust me, this game goes phenomenally well. Make sure to watch until the end and I will guarantee you learn something new.

    Even if I don't go with Owls of Minerva, I often like to build at least one city with both a harbor and commercial hub so I can put Reyna in with the promotion to double their adjacency. You can build the diplo quarter next to the commercial hub to honeypot enemy spies too. It's a great strategy imo and prints you gold.

      Love it! I've usually doubled up the gold districts in the Reyna city, but adding in the diploquarter is a great place to do so!

    Great job explaining your thought processes throughout the playthrough. This can serve as a handy guide for people looking to step up their game; I've already recommended it to a couple friends. Thanks

    question: why don’t you chop/crush the horses for that great theater square set up? (and maybe you do later in the video)
    in my (new to the game) mind, a theater square complex like that would be way better than one-of-at-least-5 horse tiles?
    what am i missing?

    • @whiteandnerdytv_
      @whiteandnerdytv_  11 місяців тому

      Unfortunately you cannot chop or crush any strategic resource such as horse or iron. Only bonus resources like cows and sheep or features like woods and rainforest can be removed.

    That is such a good spawn, would only be better as Kupe or Bull Moose

    I should really play a game with Babylon because I need to get better at diversifying my districts and going for boosts. End up with late wins like 220 on deity and I feel like it would be a bit more fun if I used my game knowledge more instead of autopilot from the start

    • @whiteandnerdytv_
      @whiteandnerdytv_  6 місяців тому

      Babylon is great for practicing that! I played them for a full science game once specifically to practice it and it was quite a challenge. Also late 220 is good!

    Good blend of commentary and educational info, like the wiki info cards on screen. Could do without the excessive pepe memes. Will keep an eye on the series, looking for another civ yt channel since potato and boes are slowing down.

    Good vedio but why space your cities too close like this?

    • @whiteandnerdytv_
      @whiteandnerdytv_  11 місяців тому

      Great question! There's lots of reasons to space your cities out or push them together. I usually settle them pretty close because it means that a city's districts can more easy boost another city's districts, get as many cities boosted by area of effects boosts like Colosseum, factories, and power, and just to get more cities overall. More cities means more districts which means more great people and more yields. And if you win games around turn 200 like I usually do, your cities wont grow tall enough where you need ever need the maximum tiles to work compared to a game that goes till turn 300. If I play a high food civilization like Khmer though, I will space my cities out a bit more to all more tiles to work. Hope this helps!

    • @whiteandnerdytv_
      @whiteandnerdytv_  6 місяців тому

      True the game modes are so strong! I mean, as if this start wasn't busted enough. XD
      I've been enjoying gamemode-less to focus on the core mechanics and the unique flavors of each civ which tend to get overridden by how strong societies are. I had no choice here though since I was recreating a save file and ley lines affect spawn location so it was required. Also, Hermetic is just fun.
