He WAS the reason for the shag haircut. To this day, my friends and I still say, " the David Cassidy haircut." I wish it would come back in style. He was so beautiful!! We all miss you, David, and I'll never forget the day you held my face with your hands as you sweetly kissed me and told me I was beautiful. It was the most romantic kiss I've ever had.❤ ❤
Again this is amazing thanks to all who put these videos of david on there are no words that can Express the sadness of david no longer being with us here put all of us that keep his memory alive in his music plays and shows will keep him close to us I listen every day to him I have said before a lot of fame very quick in his life wish he had just slowed down but he was with us for awhile time goes by too fast so all of us will keep him close forever
makes me sad to watch this now. I was a screaming teenage DC fan and still am (though not screaming!). This reveals a lot of his vulnerability which we didnt see back in the day. He was misrepresented and mismanaged. He never got over the loss of his Dad. I think he got lost somewhere along the way and that is really sad. Great talent, gorgeous man but, moreover, lovely lovely human being. God Bless you Mr David Cassidy and thanks for all the joy youve brought into my life.... and now (sadly) the memories you left. I Cherish them. xx
Taking a break from the news and covid and watching as many David Cassidy videos I can find to bring back the calm in my soul I once had as a teen. I still love you David and missing you in 2021 and the world I once lived in.......
The British loved David Cassidy like he was their own son. He knew it too; notice how he sometimes uses their accent. But who didn't love him. Full of charisma, charm, talent and intelligence. He seemed light years ahead of the rest of us; acquiring so much so early in life. And although he was exploited like many artist; he managed to maintain a prosperous life throughout. Although the end was rough for him; divorce and drinking. I just want to remember him like this; young and fabulously beautiful! RIP Sweet David. 💖🌹💖
The only and “Original American Idol “! What a persona and talent! The song performance is phenomenal and one of kind! David Cassidy has such an “Aurora” about him and a very special one of a kind voice! Thank you for sharing this!
This interview is bittersweet. He never got to retire and live comfortably on an island. His last days were filled with physical, mental, and emotional pain. My heart breaks when I see his final interviews and performances. So broken. He even had to perform once in a cast.🥺😥 This song personifies his life.
David was magic. It seemed he could do it all, and he did it so well. His passing left a big hole in my heart and I will miss him for the rest of my life. Beautiful, talented, extremely smart man.
PS I would like to say politely, he was absolute perfection and the balance between his male and female side was awe-inspiring. So gentle and soft yet what a determined and masculine intention. I adored him and still do, I have to moderate my intake because he has a profound affect no matter what state he’s in or his age. A truly complex being, a little bit of a lad and a lot of saint that I’ve rarely seen too!
I’m so drawn to this incredibly beautiful man 50 years later. My god is he gorgeous. I doubt he understood how captivatingly handsome and sexy he was. Watching and hearing him speak and perform is blissful. Amazingly talented and extraordinarily beautiful sexy man❤️❤️❤️ love and miss you David Cassidy, no doubt the angels are rejoicing in your presence.
David Cassidy had so much "natural" charm and easiness about himself...even though he obviously got extremely burnt-out during that 4-year craziness and it a real number on him. That smile of his just makes me smile.
He was an incredible person. I first met David in Las Vegas. We had mutual friends. It was 23 years ago at the MGM. So talented. So versatile. A true tragedy. We both talked about not worrying our life away. Great human. 👍
Such a heartthrob, how could you not fall in love with him: that boyish charm & good looks, the spring in his step, that laugh and that voice soft as velvet!
I GREW UP WATCHING DAVID CASSIDY >HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR BUT MOST OF ALL HE SANG A LOT OF GREAT SONGS@MUSIC>RIP David Cassidy>Thanks David ALSO A GREAT FAN
As a pre teen who got to see David in concert I was over the moon. Of course not knowing then that while he was bringing me happiness he was himself very unhappy. Now as an adult I understand but I still would like to thank David for all the joy he brought me. Always and forever a fan. Rest in Peace Mr. Cassidy.
David please know we love you as you are - not a manufactured character. I hold you so dear - you stayed true to yourself. You will always be a true artist and unique talent
David Cassidy had the most beautiful mesmerizing eyes I've ever seen! Sometimes they look blue and other times they look green. His eyes and heart shaped beautiful face was always what caught my attention the most! Will miss you forever 💞❤️. God rest your soul David. What a marvelous person you were and very genuine!! R.I.P. DC!!! 😘💕
I never met him and just really became interested in him since his death. After reading his books, buying CDs, listening to every interview that I can find on UA-cam and spending hours viewing, thousands of his pictures on Pinterest, I am completely infatuated. He's absolutely mesmerizing. David "I know I Love you".
Hi Fleta I feel like you didnt really follow or know much of David,s career as didnt live in States n never heard much after TPF..he was so talented n articulate in most of his interviews,I'm like you have to find out more n more about him. I just wish he found love n peace in his life ,rather than turn to alcohol for his loneliness. As he stated he wanted to show who David Cassidy the person was ,not the image ppl had of him. David Cassidy the person was loved by many fans ...😁😁
So beautiful and talented, unique wonderful voice all through his life. Love his humour and laugh. I listen to him every day. R.I.P beautiful soul ❤ we will always love you ❤ xx
just discovered this..how very charming! david was so very talented...and only he can make the piano sound so rock n roll! rest in peace beautiful man.
Thank you for this video! I believe it is one of his best interviews to bring his case to light. Well done! I'm learning more poignant interesting facts about this brilliant musician now that he's passed on, which is so sad. I've been David's fan since the beginning and there a huge gaps in between the years since he bowed out for awhile. Such an interesting artist and very well grounded. Looking back, he maintained that same direction and philosophy throughout his life. He was true to his nature and his goals as an artist which says a lot about him--that he was genuine, not flighty at all. I believe it took great courage to remove himself and regain his true identity and passion as an artist. I guess that is why he remained successful, and he did that his own way. He said many times it was never about the money. In fact, He was very against exploitation from early on in his career and showed as a good role model for upcoming artists. A true fan would appreciate that and allow David to grow and to reveal his true persona--and my goodness, wasn't it worth it? To me it sure was. Such a beautiful human being that I'm missing the loss of, passing at such an early age. His legacy lives on in his fans. I hope he'll be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I really do believe he's earned it. Such a brilliant musician. Rest in peace sweet David. 💙❤🎶
What a lovely song, there seems to be a lot of unreleased music of David Cassidy. Perhaps someone like his producer Craig could gather it together and make a tribute of unreleased material, think his fans who have followed him for 47 years and his recent fans would appreciative. RIP
Diane Cooper I so agree with you. There is a bunch of unreleased songs that are really really so great, and it would be such a shame if it never got out there. I think also the massive photo material that obviously exists could for example be perfect to use for a "coffee table book" (by the Henry Dilz photographer?) or such. I am sure there would be a huge interest, and then an idea would be (jumping way ahead, I know..) perhaps some percentage of the profit of it all could go to the Alzheimer fund that DC worked with, just a thought..
Such a beautiful man with a soft and pleasant voice. David has been the first love of thousands of girls around the world, including myself. So sad he's gone, but we will always remember and love him. He will never be forgotten! 💔💖
Gorgeous song that is too good to be unreleased. Just like so many of those unreleased gems from the TV show. It's time for them to be released and set free just like David is now.
Thank you for posting this video - I had never seen the performance of this song before, which is really beautiful. I think David Cassidy was so underappreciated as a musician. It was as if his physical beauty and charisma eclipsed that talent and there was no way to escape it.
David is so incredibly gorgeous here, he is actually " Very Pretty". Could easily pass for a girl from neck up. No make up , earrings or cosmetic surgery needed!! He was that damn naturally gorgeous!!!!!
He did. I heard that when David was in the hospital, his loved ones were there with him, including his nephew, Jack, who is Patrick Cassidy's son. Jack is a devout Christian, and a Contemporary Christian music artist. You may have seen him as a contestant on "The Voice." Before David passed away, Jack led him to Christ. David repented of his sins and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Being a Christian myself, I'm comforted knowing that David is in Heaven. I miss him like crazy, but at the same time, I'm glad he's at peace.
Wow! What an insight to a very articulate, deep, sensitive, funny David as a young man (26). This interview has helped me understand the man he was and the man he came to be in later life. There was so much more to him and his talent than just a pretty face. Thank you so much for uploading this interview, I enjoyed it very much xx
Such a great interview, one of the best I've seen with DC, honest and sincere. The interviewer is great and a real pro, trying to dig a bit deeper than most and he sets the tone with both depth and humour. I am also impressed by the maturity DC shows, he's only 26 here, but yet he seems to answer in a thoughful way and is very well articulated. Its such a loss he's now gone.
I'm quite sure Russell harty fancied the pants off of him, lol.I remember this interview all those years ago. I live in the UK and got sat down with a cup of tea and watched it, and it was incredible!
He was so lovely looking i was madly in love with him from about 13 years old posters on walls mad about him. Im 57 now and if i was young now would still fancy him like mad. Loved his music too
David was my 1st concert and 1st Love. The girls were screaming so loud & I just wanted to hear him sing sing 🎶 sing. His music kept my spirit up during a harsh childhood. A wonderful talented, beautiful, & magnetic Man. RIP Sweet One. Much Love to all David touched💜💯💣
I was only 2 years old when The Partridge Family debuted in September of 1970, so naturally, I missed out on Cassidymania. But I became a fan later in 1974 after the show was cancelled, and reruns we're being shown on weekday afternoons. Better late than never, right? I was 6 years old and in the first grade when I saw The Partridge Family for the first time, and I thought David Cassidy was really cute! In fact, he was the first cute boy I ever saw on TV. If I had been a teenage girl in the 70's, instead of a little girl, I know I would've seen David in concert in the early 70's and would've had David Cassidy posters on my bedroom wall. The first time I saw David in person was in 1996. It was his EFX show in Las Vegas. I saw him in concert twice, first in 2003, then in 2007. The first time I saw him in concert, he looked right at me and took hold of my hand while singing "No Bridge I Wouldn't Cross!" I'll never forget that special moment! My one regret, is that I never got to meet him. You don't have to be a Baby Boomer to love David Cassidy. We Generation Xers love him too! I love this interview. David seemed genuinely sweet and down-to-Earth. He was intelligent, had a great sense of humor, and I love his smile and laugh! And his voice was like velvet! David Cassidy had one of those voices you immediately recognize, whether he was talking or singing. He was one of a kind.
Beautiful man to look at with charisma and talent ..just watched this after not seeing it for while and very cute how he looked like he was blushing just after the pimple comment ...such a sense of humour ..may he be happy ,have found peace and love ...see ya in next life .xo
This was a very good interview,he was allowed to say what he wanted to say,he was very honest with his answers. It was lovely hearing his soft speaking voice, seeing his beautiful smile, and that laugh,he had a really infectious laugh that made you laugh with him! Rest peacefully gorgeous David.
Great interview. David reveals himself in a way that I've rarely seen him do. Credit to Russell Harty, such a brilliant interviewer. Both sadly missed.
Damn. what other guy in the '70's were as unique and beautiful as him? Well before all the Brad Pitts, the George Clooneys, Ryan Goslings, etc., there was 1 David Cassidy.
I know this is a long time ago and David Cassidy has passed away but what is it about British media, where they don't seem to be satisfied with the subject's answer. I don't know how many times Harty went over the same question, after it was answered more than satisfactorily the first time. He got his answer! What was it about the answer didn't he understand. They do the same to other celebs still today. As a journalist, you ask the question in the way that the person is more likely to answer it, instead of asking the same question over and over again to badger them. David Cassidy was my teenage crush too. As others have mentioned here. He was a phenomenon that has never been seen since and I doubt will ever be seen again. A sad end for a great, talented man. RIP David.
Who could not love this man? I watched the SAG awards tonight, and they showed him in the "memoriam". It was quick, but the clip they picked of him was soooo beautiful. I cried immediately when I saw his face.
@@gaysy1st Another singer who had a lovely speaking voice & said 'etcetera' often in interviews was Billy Fury. I was reminded of this as soon as I heard David say it. Both handsome & talented & sadly, both now passed.
Loved David and still do forever! The most handsome, generous and loving man! I am so thankful that I got to meet David back in 2000 and got his autograph! The sweetest man ever! I could only say thank you to him for I was so in shock and he said you are welcome in his soft voice! I watched him walk away with his wife Sue afterwards with his hand on her back at Saratoga Racetrack.
He was my first love too and I was wondering why I never saw him in concert or knew the extent of the craze like everyone else here but I was 9 when the show ended. Ha. His voice and natural way of communicating are hard to replicate: his fame was not just feathered hair and marketing.
Like David Mark bolan and David Bowie we're also "BEAUTIFUL MEN".. a lot of gender benders in the 70s..not gay but feminine looking that appealed to the 70s female music fans at that time , like K POP boy bands do today!!.❤️🇺🇲
Everything about David Cassidy is absolutely GORGEOUS 🩵 such a sweet soul 💘his mind, his intelligence, his amazing voice, his looks… gone too soon 😢 poor David the demons got to him eventually 💔 RIP 🙏🏻Beautiful David 😘😘
No one had a better shag haircut than David Cassidy. He was probably one of the reasons that the shag was so popular in the 70's.
Hes adorable, probably one of the best looking men alive at the time, hard to take your eyes off him and his whole persona is just so attractive
100% agree
He was just gorgeous❤
David is probably the only man I'd ever describe as BEAUTIFUL, I could listen to that voice all day
I love him. His thoughts
.omg! He is so sensitive and he is so real. Beauty..
Such a sensitive soul. He deserved a better journey in this world. RIP
Absolutely.

I have watched a lot of David Cassidy these last few months. This by far, is him in my eyes at his most beautiful. He is mesmerising. ❤

No. And doubt I ever will. 😢

He is so gorgeous in this interview. Intelligent and articulate and beautiful.

David a truly beautiful human being. Beautiful to look at and so intelligent. Such a shame he didn't stay well and healthy. RIP. Sweet lovely man.
David Cassidy had so much "natural" charm and easiness about himself...even though he obviously got extremely burnt-out during that 4-year craziness and it a real number on him. That smile of his just makes me smile.

Here again. Love this man unconditionally, forever in my heart. R.i.P. dear David. 💕
Love him, miss him...how is it possible that he is gone? We love you David
AWWWWW BLESS HIS HEART
Love listening to his music before I go to sleep I do it every night because I miss him madly love you sweetheart ♥️♥️😭😭
I listen to him as I fall asleep as well! Love his voice and his music!
Missing you, David
Tysm Marja what a beautiful soul we have in our David Cassidy he'll never be forgotten "Ever" 🙏💋💋💋👑💘🎹🎶🎵🎼🎬🎥🎸🎤 ❌⭕❌⭕
RIP David.
He doesn’t look a day over 18 he’s so handsome
Thank You David for all the Music an kind legacy you left us.
Who could not love this man? I watched the SAG awards tonight, and they showed him in the "memoriam". It was quick, but the clip they picked of him was soooo beautiful. I cried immediately when I saw his face.
He says "Ya know" a lot. I hear it in every interview, and it rolls off his tongue so beautifully. It sounds breathy and sexy.
anything he says, sounds sexy.
Yes & I love the way he say etcetera. It's so clear & I keep replaying it. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Thanks for reminding me how much i love this gorgeous man ❤ rip lovely David Cassidy xx
just love him so much so sad for the sadness and loneliness he felt in his life
I have no idea why he didn't record that song! Absolutely beautiful! Showing off his talent! Exquisite!!!
Beautiful David
He was my first love too and I was wondering why I never saw him in concert or knew the extent of the craze like everyone else here but I was 9 when the show ended. Ha. His voice and natural way of communicating are hard to replicate: his fame was not just feathered hair and marketing.
Schönster Mann der Welt ❤
Like David Mark bolan and David Bowie we're also "BEAUTIFUL MEN".. a lot of gender benders in the 70s..not gay but feminine looking that appealed to the 70s female music fans at that time , like K POP boy bands do today!!.❤️🇺🇲
David’s 26 years old in this interview but he looks 18 years old
What a beautiful lovely man David classy😁🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Everything about David Cassidy is absolutely GORGEOUS 🩵 such a sweet soul 💘his mind, his intelligence, his amazing voice, his looks… gone too soon 😢 poor David the demons got to him eventually 💔 RIP 🙏🏻Beautiful David 😘😘

Beautiful intro! I've always enjoyed this interview, the song...it's wonderful. I love David Cassidy playing the piano with such passion!
