I'm loving your content Peter! (And good luck training for your half marathon!) Counter hits do 120% damage, rounded _down_ to a whole number. So for Steve's attack that says 111%, the base damage was 9, and 9 x 120% = 10.8, which is then rounded down to 10. Lastly, 10/9 = 111% which is why it says 111%. In the case of Lee, the base damage is 3. So 3 x 120% = 3.6, which is rounded down to 3.
Thanks so much for clarifying that man. Appreciate it so much!!! I was wondering about that myself. But like I said :P No one really needs to memorize how much damage boost it is, just know it's more damage. Anyhow, thanks once again for showing the math on this. It's very interesting!! I'm going to pin this. Have a good one man.
Your videos are excellent. It's like finding a needle in a haystack to find good quality, from-the-ground-up videos on tekken 7. Thank you so much. Look forward to watching your entire beginner series.
This is one of the only TRUE beginner guides. So many guides tell me to do this or that move without inputs on the screen or use names like korean backdash ( i know what that is now, but a true beginner wouldnt). Its nice to have a colection of videos to go to just to improve your base
I'm trying iKNZ. Trying to lay down a playlist of stuff for beginners and one day, hopefully someone knew stumbles onto this stuff and it really helps them out.
@@PeterYMao well you're sure helping me a lot. I watch a lot of guides on youtube but you really stand out as one of the very best, your delivery is so on point you're basically a professional teacher ahaha
@@iknz1 Aww, such kinda words. Thank you so much. I generally try to make high quality and in depth videos since I feel like a lot of teching videos online are very rushed, and lack depth.

Don't put yourself down Wesley. You're not a scrub. You're a beginner, and that's why I'm here to make content ^_^. Everyone has to start somewhere and everyone was a beginner at some point. Just keep getting better 1 day at a time.
Whatching this video once improved my gameplay immidiately. They dont CH launch me like they used to before . Im a warrior Bryan and warrior Julia main. Im winning against higher ranks than mine more often than U had before. THX 4 ALL CONTENT!!!

Hey Peter! Thanks for the video. May I request a video about how to gather information about your opponent in a match? At your convenience ofcourse. No hurry. Take care and all the best for your half marathon 😁👍
Do all moves differ when they land as a counter hit? I'm asking because I see a lot of people talking about counter hit confirming and moves that natural combos on counter hit.
@@PeterYMao ah will check that out then cos I've always wanted to make sure that I will actually land full strings like Lars' 1, 1,1 without worry of the last hit being blocked.
Baiting counter hits is generally a thing that is going to be different per character, but I can take a look into it. I'll let you know if I do it. If I do, there will be a video on it.
You have good Tekken 7 guides. I was looking for a counter hit Guide. I need it for Heihachi's counter hit sample combos. I still need months to improve my Heihachi skills. I texted with some Tekken 7 good players. 1 of them is Aqeel Zahoor. A Heihachi Player from Pakistan. Hé trained his skills for 10 years. Hé is a very strong Heihachi. Some say hé is the best player known of Pakistan. Greetz.
@@PeterYMao At the end of each month i will upload either a Arcade playthrough or some online matches. Based on fundamenteles. Could you rate IT maybe?

All the moves that have a counter hit effect you can confirm a combo afterwards, but the hit itself really varies depending on the move.
