"Stances are truly wonderful, and are one of the most defining aspects of Tekken, with their flair and unique attributes"
*zafina spazzing out in the background
I hate her stances
"I'm going to MMO's" My god dude, that resonated with me so damn much ahah
"It's absolutely the last thing you should figure out with your character before you start heading online, and when you're just starting out, finding the most simple, basic juggle combo is absolutely enough."
👍👍👍👍👍
I loved Mortal Kombat Deception's method of teaching you the characters by having you play as each one throughout the story- including a tutorial for their move sets being part of the story. It outright showed you their long and short combos, grabs, style switching combos, and the value you would get from each style. The helped you learn the strengths and weaknesses, timing, and variety of each character while not making you go out of the way to learn something
This guy honestly deserves way more subscribers he puts so much effort into his editing it’s insane he has 2k instead of 20k
nearly has 20k
Bro, i'm hoping you got this notification cause after 3 years, ZuG has 20.2k subs
spoke too soon
godbless this man
@@ranzu8732just got the notification lol
"i am going back to mmos" that made me laugh more than it should have
Same, the face was too perfect too
One of the most underrated youtubers, thank you alot for these guides
I just found this video randomly, after having a hard time just figuring out how to play Tekken and it's an absolute blessing. Thanks for the good-ass content.
Keep doing these vids, they’re beautiful. You are a good teacher and know what you are doing in terms of video tutorials. Only a matter of time before Aris is directing the early 2019ers to your chNnel
Thank you very much for the support! I appreciate it greatly.
"Why haven't you learn to KBD yet, SpongeBob?" -Miss Puff
because i don’t know what that means
this comment has now an entire new meaning
Me watching this video : ok cool Him talking about frames : Aight imma head out
y? understanding frame data is crucial to improving at fighting games
@@TheUltimateScottz it is and it isn't. it's important as an explanation for certain scenarios but outside of those it's more academic; you can learn the same thing through experience.
i mean, for a start, regarding negative frames:
anything below 10: you're safe
anything 11-14: safe but can be punished sometimes so dont spam
above 15/16: RIP
@@tehseensajjad1003 I gave up this game 😂
@@sxpersav1710 frame data ain't terribly confusing, not gonna say it's easy, either, but certainly just more daunting than it is challenging
i don't even need this guide but i watched the whole thing because it was so well done and it never hurts to hear the fundamentals again!
Picked up Tekken this week and this was the most useful video that I saw so far
This is a great guide man! It takes it easy on us noobs and gives us a bigger picture to work with! Thanks and keep up the great work!
As a newcomer to Tekken, this is a fantastic guide that really helped me get concrete ideas of what to look for and focus on. Thanks!
Damn this is so highly detailed, why everybody hasn't noticed you yet - keep it up!
i remember playing you on steam with my feng, didnt know you were a tekken youtuber. pretty impressive how fast you've improved.
Always good to review the basics
Thank you because of this I made it to initiate not a big thing but for a guy that hasn't played a Tekken game since 2 i think that's pretty good "virtual hug"
This video came up on my recommended, I actually needed this for when I learn new characters, but now I can put my Feng into basic principles again
This is the only Tekken video I've watched so far that's helped me
i really liked this video! it was actually useful! love the transitions between the different topics too!
I'm just starting to get into Tekken and I'm grateful I found this video
The same song can be played with different instruments. We need more videos like this
14:00 i like how he perfectly showed what lili mains spent most of their time doing
I'm a Dragunov main, considering Julia atm, who played well over 100 matches with Lili just to unlock the "Time for Tea" title.
Yeahh pretty accurate.
extremely high quality videos! perfect timing as im just picking up tekken 7 also. Hope you prosper on UA-cam mate
Great video. Highly recommend for new players. I'm definitely rewatching to get my characters better. I'm so guilty of just learning a combo and heading online hahaha
Love the aesthetic for these transitions, well edited and nicely laid out to make the info accessible. Thanks!
A solid beginner blueprint, thanks.
This guy deserves more subscribers
Dude this is a well put together video. Definitely get a like. I appreciate the effort.
Great video, laughed and learned
Very informative
Contextualizing the moves is the hardest part for me
I like characters with a ton of moves tho so this takes time
What also helps is just practice the moves and moves set. First i looked at the moves what helps but also i looked at the moves list again and found some better options in different scenarios. So you can expand and learn more.
Holy shit. I just discovered you today and now you upload a new video! That's sick. Thanks for the awesome guide.
Thanks for the kind words mate, I'm slow to upload but I get there eventually haha
Thank you my man. I'm using your videos to get started on Tekken.
That'"s what I like about the game, even if a characters have very low amount of attacks (Like Claudio, my main) you can still be super strong with just fundamentals and knowledge
Excellent video. Solid information. Bonus: Love all the Phantasy Star music.
YOU ARE THE BEST TEKKEN GUIDE CHANNEL OUT THERE! KEEP IT UP! sorry for shouting
Heyy man very informative I saw your in depth tutorial video on leffen stream! Gott say I wish I knew of your channel back in the beginning of tekken 7 when I decided to learn the game. Was getting ASS BLASTED all over the place it was very painful wanted to give up in getting good in tekken 7. I hit Fujin rank with Miguel after of 7000 fights lol
I just get to practice a single juggle combo and from there see if I drop or continue. Its great for a start because it teaches you a lot of background in a single drill
I know this is an old video but thanks for this.
9:12 I cant believe you used the Phantasy star online ost here (image of hero theme), this bring me back memories from Dreamcast...
Love the timeline. Hype!
Whoah this is not great to learn a new character if your already into Tekken. But as a newcomer this really helps to get my toolkit with my character ready by explaining what everything does. Thanks a lot.
Very useful thank you so much.
Congratulations on 10k!
This is actually really helpful!
0:22 Can I just say I love this reference
subscriber earned lol
at 2:40 , whilst Kuma's 2 is 10 frames, it is minus on block. F+1 behaves like a regular 1 jab, it's +1 on block and +8 on hit, so that one is more akin to the 1 jab.
HOW IS NO ONE DISCUSSING THE FACT THAT THIS VIDEO HAS CHAPTERS OMG IT HAS CHAPTERS!!!
Great tips. Thank you very much.
Very useful vid, if you want to get better at tekken but don't know where to begin
Thank you so much for this. I'm trying to get a handle on learning the matchups in Tekken and this will defo be helpful!💖 Subbed!
I generally learn a character by skimming their moveset, trying the moves, and getting confident with all the sample combos
Good shit man, thanks!
Watched your videos - they are well thought out and quite great at relaying information. Compared to the larger games, Tekken is rather small and the audience will reflect that. Dont be too discouraged. As long as you keep making quality content, viewers will find their way. Built it and they will come, trust me.
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say. As long as people are having a good time, I'll keep on going.
It’s crazy how small tekken still is, for such a popular fighting game. I only recently got into the series but it’s damn good.
@@bug9591 t7 sold over 5 Million copies thats not a small community for me
On steam it's by far the most popular fighting game
@@sgtpepper91 it sure managed to stick in there. But the fighting game scene is small compared to the big ones
really good video keep it up. simple and to the point.
"With 60 attacks"

that kazuya mating ritual was beautiful 11:30
This video should be titles as "learning full Tekken cause you defined everything in this"
7:30 as someone who listens to the PSO ost religiously the chaotic bar music caught me off guard. great choice, and great video! thx
edit: just finished the video and saw you snuck three classic PSO songs in there - EASY SUB
Awesome vids dude
Thank you bro, i was give up with tekken 7 before, its more difficult then tekken 8. I'll try your advice
2:43 I wouldnt use jacks f+2 as a poke, but I am sure you are aware of that. Jacks 2 is his jab which I would still use even though its 1 frame slower than a normal 1 jab, because f+2 is more of a panic move instead of a poke as its unsafe on block. The part in the video could be confusing because people might think they now need to use f+2 as a poke.
That's a great point I should have made clearer, thank you for bringing that up.
@@MassiveZug No problem, I hope you continue making videos. I have really enjoyed all of them so far.
I only started playing tekken 7 a few days ago after stopping at tag. I didn't read any move lists. I just tried different button combinations. I am currently at about 12 different combo's for julia. I don't know any of the names. I've named them shit like "mid blow to uppercut", "toe kick to double mid blows". I'll see how it goes in a month's time when I try to do my first online match in any game, ever lol This was helpful though, for strategies. I already have a few combos that start with the move types you mentioned. Will have to watch this video a few times though coz I know none of the terminology lol
great video extra helpful because I was going to learn feng anyway lol
Excellent 🌹
Great great job man!! You definitely got a sub here
These vids are very helpful, and I love the PSO music.
great guide. well done :)
I don't see how people enjoy this game without a good tutorial vid like this, very clunky game.
Thanks man, however am still unsure of my abilities. Wish there was someone who could tell me what I am doing wrong sometimes. Maybe I am going to hard on myself or something. But sometimes when you passionate about something you want to get gud at it.
This helps me so much
Started playing a few weeks ago (though I've played Tekken since the first game) & have been checking out vids.
This one seemed useful, though I'm not sure what button to press after I have frame advantage. Maybe just a jab.
Playing 3-4 fighting games & remembering as much as I can. Good summary.
I'm not really that good at all but when you get a small frame advantage throwing out a quick jab string for a punish is good, for big frame advantages go with a launcher or higher damaging move
@@lukewillis6056 Sounds good. Thanks!
Came for Tekken tips, got that and memories via Phantasy Star Online music
14:00 that's me. how did you know i was that guy :'(
btw great video i love the editing. very informational.
I haven't played Tekken in years. A co worker says he can beat me in Tekken 7. I get the game. I choose Yoshimimitsu and Paul, my old mains. Still got it. I destroy him 10-0. I discovered Kazumi. I am now hooked on Tekken 7
Best video for Tekken Newbie like Me.
AMAZING
Thanks this helps me a lot coz I played tekken games but I still need more practice that's all. 😎🎮👏🤗
As a Kazuya main, that mating ritual is accurate
Ngl the quality of this video is approaching That Blasted Salami levels, keep up the awesome work!
kazuyas up B or circle is beautiful
I love this dudes voice
Dude im triyng to learn lee his tools are so stupid good but take so much skill to use properly.
edit: I also feel that new player are not having fun with making new combos and mix-ups, and that for me is the best part of tekken
this is so fucking useful to a beginner not only in tekken but all FGs for real
it's like teaching the reasons why would you ever press any button
great for beginners that have no idea what they shoud do
thank you so much
greatest video of all time
Im really not good at fighting games at all and just began understanding that ive been holding the controller wrong, and steve, hworang, king/armored king, eddy, and lee are my favorites so ya know🤣
I've watched about 15 'how to learn Tekken' videos as I've finally started to try to learn the game outside of the story for Tekken 7 in preparation for 8 coming out. And let me say, none of them did anything helpful, telling me a bunch of entirely useless info that means nothing to a newbie like me. This video, though, told me all the tools I need to be successful, and even mentions Feng, which happened to also be the character I chose to learn, so that was helpful. It does make me confident to learn other potential characters, though, especially if Feng isn't available out of the gate for Tekken 8.
Good video! Think I'm going to spam electrics instead though
Bandai should just put this video in Tekken 7 and use it as the tutorial
My respect for you
Damn you need more subs
Lee is the best character ❤
Ok do this again but for every fighting game ever
You had me at the monkey ball music
Learning Tekken seems very daunting especially since I’ve picked Yoshimitsu, but hopefully I’ll become good eventually
Good luck brother. You can do it!
what is your progress now?
@@CASEY1100_ That's what I'm wondering too
Wow, this is absolutely fantastic for new players!
I've decided to learn Xiaoyu, so learning stances is going to be vital in the end. But seriously, you explain things in a way that makes it easy to learn and even start understanding. So many communities just say 'learn this, learn that, don't listen to XYZ player, just play the game' and it's infuriating when I don't know where to begin and I'm asking specifically for a place to start learning. So, finally understanding wherr to begin is great, I'll try to incorporate RDS first because it has many uses and AoP seems great, but limiting at the same time... It's something I'll want some experience before actually learning how to use.
So, again, thank you for explaining in a way a newer player can learn from, instead of just saying "lol scrub, why aren't you cancelling moves yet?"
Don't worry cancelling moves is hardly a necessity. Also Xiaoyu's AoP is great for mixing people while they are down or simply its good for her okizeme. AoP also crushes highs and some mids, meaning that stance can evade moves.
@@giulia1361 While I happily agree with you and have heard similar from others, starting small is definitely the way to go. I've also just heard from a lot of long time players that you need to learn cancelling because it's a pro level skill to be able to use.
My logic is: you can know the best combos, but if you can't land them or use them efficiently, you aren't learning anything. You need to learn before you know.
This was a really helpful video !! Thanks a bunch for these videos you make. I hope you’ll get a million subscribers one day. Tekken 7 is fairly new and it’s not that popular of a game. So as it’ll get popular, people will come looking for your videos. Don’t lose hope and keep making these videos.
great video!!!! good editing and music. keep making guides
What’s the music?
