@tehee1266 we show you that its the first step into removing your shifter, yes theres a rubber boot and bolt located UNDER your car, you have to remove that first in order to remove it from the inside of your car.
@minhsteve09 Correct! However, please be sure that the knob that you are buying is made for your car. Because if not, the threads will be different and you might strip it trying to screw it on. If the item is universal, it will come with a plastic cap and small screws that will tighten the cap when the put the knob on. Good luck
@p8ntbawlr210 the Shorty Sifter gives you a shorter throw when shifing. As performance wise; you want to have the quickest shift when changing gears. It requires less effort to make the shift. E.g. from a two inch throw; down to under an inch. I hoped that helped. Thanks for the question.

I need help!!!! I just installed the same short shifter on my 03 350z around 3pm and everything was working great until at night I was trying to park and my reverse didn't work it would go straight to 6th gear what do I do???? Something help please
Will this help with my Shifter being impossible to shift into. Like im at a red light and i have to jam my shifter into first it wont go in smoothly. Especially reverse i can almost never reverse.
Did you jack this video from someone? I could have sworn I've seen this before and there is a bunch of info missing so I will add it here... You forgot to add in the part where the guy explains about using solid bushings so you can get rid of that sloppy mushy negative contact when shifting thus making your shifts firm and way less wear on the fork. Also when you are putting the shifter boot in, add a bit of die grease so the boot wont bind to the shifter knob making you tear it it up. Torque the bolts down so the bolts won't work their way out, same goes for the outside.
there is no way you just twisted the shift knob off that easily. what year is this z? and if its an earlier model e.g. 03-05 can you explain how you removed the shift knob so easily?

@THEYELLOWDARTkyle Shortshifters do not give you any gain or power whatsoever. They only decrease your throw for easier shifting with less effort.
