As a frequent flyer watching this sheds shivers down the spine, you just have to be grateful for the safe trips. Blessings to all the departed souls and solace to their families.
Well you don’t have to be scared. Most of these crashes were before 2010, now, planes have better technology and there hasn’t been and airliner crashes since.
The NTSB released its final report in 2003, three years after the accident. The report stated that the crash of Flight 17 was caused by the detachment of the right elevator control tab. The disconnection was caused by the failure to properly secure and inspect the attachment bolt.
When the captain banked the plane to the left, the faulty INU sent erroneous data to his ADI, preventing the instrument from showing the aircraft was in a bank. The comparator alarm sounded repeatedly, which was an indication that the aircraft's two ADI displays were in disagreement.
Yep, the captain's ADI was defective, and because of culture, both the FO and FE became too hesitant to tell the captain that his instrument isn't working while the FO didnt take control to save the plane
Actor playing Emery First Officer George Land @4:25 is a dead ringer for Chris DeGarmo of Queensryche.. who these days actually works as a commercial pilot..
As the aircraft lifted off the runway on the accident flight with both engines at full power, a faulty switch in conjunction with a possible short circuit caused the right engine's thrust reverser to deploy.
Oh come on.. don't worry about it.. the chances are more likely you'll die on your way to the airport.. ( like getting hit by a bus or struck by lightening ). Hope this also helps you.
@@louieosumo You must design a more sturdy rigid rudder than put the blame on the pilot. One wouldn't see a ship's rudder break when the captain turn at most.
What a piece meal, disjointed job. Scant explanations, sudden switches to next accident without completing and finishing one before moving on. And just a small amount of effort needed to make more sense and provide understanding. Disappointing all around!!
Smithsonian , why do you keep posting old , chopped clips from vids you have previously posted , have some dignity , originality & respect for people by not taking them as fools to click on your videos . yeah ?

So terrifying to think about when you are just in a normal flight and then this could suddenly happen...
this is one hell of a video. love the investigation sequences.
NOT ME
bro shut up

747 is queen of the skies✈️✈️✈️
Rip
The first one is so terrifying God bless their lost souls on that flight I'm almost in tears🫡
I am Flying next year in June first time after a few years. Preparing myself for the worst case scenario is strangely, kind of helping.
Oh come on.. don't worry about it.. the chances are more likely you'll die on your way to the airport.. ( like getting hit by a bus or struck by lightening ). Hope this also helps you.
I wish they would have briefly stated why it happened if there was an answer?
7:45 sooner or later you gotta get on the ground *proceeds violent getting-on-the-ground* those pilots did everything. rip emery 17
Ye they had no chance to land they did everything
The 2nd clip the Korean captain was very ignorant and arrogant which cost him his life with others
Because of culture, they dont want to upset the captain despite that his ADI isnt working
"Oh the humanity"-Herbert Morrison
12:12 he sounds drunk when he says "here we go"
Except he forgot to extend the flaps after a lil maintenance earlier
RIP to all passengers and pilots😢
Atleast the camera crew were safe
This is why i avoid flying and do it very rarely and if i have no choice
1:29 history finally reapeted itself
American airlines 587... I can't even imagine what I should do if I was in that plane. Probably screaming... 😅 But it's still scary. 😢
FO's training program was very dangerous because he keeps putting aggressive rudder inputs which breaks the vertical stabilizer.
Yes Sten Molin used 11 degrees of the rudders when you are supposed to use 2 to 3 degrees
@@louieosumo You must design a more sturdy rigid rudder than put the blame on the pilot. One wouldn't see a ship's rudder break when the captain turn at most.
It’s a good thing I am not flying anytime soon. These crashes are scary.
Wow 😮
Seen 😮
0:25 he his the co pilot of jal 123 😮
Idk
No

Korean Air Cargo flight 8509 I actually understand how that happened.
King of the skies
Will you do one on the Recent JAL516 crash at Haneda Aiport? Because im quite interested in what actually happened so i wanna know in more detail
Wait the kal pilot is the japan airline pilot to of the channel wonder
So, what was the resolution to each of these disasters? I’m left hanging.
Can you make Inex-Adria flight 1308 pls 🙏🙏.
Isn’t that actor on KAL8509 the same one from JAL123?
Probably.
Yes. Is the same pilot of JAL123 and KAL007
Is that the pilot from jal123 in kal8509 look betewn the jal123 episodie with the kal8509 episodio
these are so addictive
11:08 there is thrust revers on the engine number 2 in mid air
17:46 WAIT. THIS LOOKS LIKE THE TWA FLIGHT 800
Can't imagine!
Why did the pilot on board KAL 8509 looked like the pilot on board JA123 ?
Everything seems routine but something still has to go wrong 😢 RIP
I have the recording of the jappanesse voice cockpit recording on repeat on my phone at night. It's soothing and helps me sleep 😴
So sad😢
DANG! RIP 🪦
Can't believe they didn't include the O'Hare DC-10
Did you forget Delta flight 1141
Ok, you've scared the crap out of anyone who has ever flown on an airplane, why didn't you analyze why any of the crashes happened?
This is just the beginning of each episode. Sometimes they post the entire episode. I think this can also be streamed on Paramount.
Can't escape from Stansted
R.I.P❤
You can get it done ✅ k
does not look fun
This sucks. No answers for these disasters??
flight 587 i think that was a mistake because the aircraft spun around like 10 times.
Flight 8509 looks like it was the Japan airlines 123 officer
Notice how TAM airlines was on Halloween!?
9:20 who would name their plane a focker? Meet the parents
Fokker* is a small/medium body aircraft. It’s only used by a couple of airlines but mostly Alliance Airlines in Australia.
What a piece meal, disjointed job. Scant explanations, sudden switches to next accident without completing and finishing one before moving on. And just a small amount of effort needed to make more sense and provide understanding. Disappointing all around!!
Where is Fine Air 101?
why are the piliots so sweaty
1:00 arent these pilots the same as jal 123 video??
Perhaps they used the same actors
Why just talk about the crash why not a brief statement about why and what caused it.
I hope one day, American Military has the decency to own up to TWA 800 and apologise for the lies.
They will never fess up.
They never have and never will admit wrong for anything.
I dont care how much older my Superior is, if he's driving my ride into the ground im going to stop him, this 1st officer said nothing!
Yes but if you were brought up to never disrespect your superior with very harsh discipline actions if not followed, you would follow.
I don't like this kind of collected and brutally edited videos. everything seems incomplete. only a complete story makes sense. no snacks please
God Will take care of their souls, Rest in peace lost souls.
😨
cc
there was only 5 crasges
Interesting documentary but no reasons for the crashes.
Why the captain look like the Japan Airlines 123 co-pliot from Korea airlines flight 8509
Same actor, probably
Boris Johnson is the main suspect
You lie about TWA800, I was on MV Pirouette
