J Utah the only problem I have with your videos is the sound. It`s almost muted. You should put a mic outside the car so we can really feel the streets. Without the real sound, all the citys seem sad.
It's also cool when you grew up in LA and recognize some of the places in GTA 5. We used to drive by that car wash near Franklin's house all the time on the way to my Grandma's. Seeing it in GTA 5 was nostalgic.
You’ll see them out and about if you stay there long enough. We saw Simon Cowell in a red Ferrari driving down Melrose the last time we were out there. They won’t be all glammed up, so you might not recognize them.
Uhm yeah it happens sometimes when you're in malibu, Bel Air, Calabasas and some other places but they won't look glammed so they are usually in disguise. If you're lucky you can spot Jay Z in traffic on sunset boulevard
Don't feel bad I left on a Greyhound bus to Los Angeles in 20018 at the age of 47 thinking the same thing but ended up homeless living outside of a Denny's restaurant off of Sunset in Hollywood until my dad sent off me to get back on Greyhound and come back to Indiana. Thank God for cellphones
When I was a kid in the early 90s I used to stare at that Hollywood sign on TV as if it was a message from God try to tell me something but I was too young to catch on. My older sisters would wonder why I would just stare at the TV looking at the sign. God was telling me you're going to be a film producer and have a studio in Hollywood, CA
Just discovered your channel. What a great video. I'm in Southern California as well and this captured our streets perfectly. I love L.A. Thanks for sharing this with the rest of the world.
I loved the narrow streets and the houses amidst the vegetation near the Hollywood Sign. Even the ugly overhead utility wires in a few parts of the footage are installed in a better way than we see in countries like Brazil, where trees are in same line as the wires and are poorly pruned, lean, and fall more often it should be. Great to see California. Thank you!
The Hollywood Sign used to be called Hollywoodland. It was a real estate advertisement meant to sell suburban housing below the sign around early 1920s. At this time Hollywood was still growing. A lot of it was farms but slowly the film industry started moving in. Also cars became popular in the 1920s not just LA, but USA and many parts of the world, so you didnt have to live near public transportation or city center or own a horse. You can live in the Hollywood hills but still be near a busy city section of Hollywood. Of course no one went hiking to the Hollywood sign back then nor was it a tourist attraction to visit. No one had mobile phones to take selfies. I love the narrow roads of the Hollywood hills. I bet it was very nice, quiet and peaceful in the past before all the tourists cars. Also the trees were short so you had great views of the growing city skyline.
California is the best state Ppl are humble and easy to talk with Ppl mostly open minded unlike other state in wich the expression of stranger danger is spread out May be the hot weather and diversity is the factors behind CALI's humble ppl Cheers from florida
The footage you're able to get from driving around in these cities, especially Los Angeles, continues to impress me. I've never seen that much of the Hollywood Hills in that detail before. It looks like a nice area, but those neighborhoods have some pretty narrow streets. That has to be kind of a pain in the ass for the people who live there.
I'm loving this one, I really want to go there because it looks so lush and beautiful, plus I've got a lot of references from GTA V in my mind. I'm not so fond of the sign itself, but rather the neighborhood, vegetation and roads.
Autunite the best time to visit LA is in the spring between January and May, that is when most of our flowers bloom. The rest of the year is very hot and dry, we don't have much vegetation except for palm trees and cactuses during that time.
Thanks for the tip! I was initially going there in October/November, but I might change it to either March or April. It would be my second time traveling to the US, my first time was New York and New Jersey last Christmas. It was biting cold, but a great experience. I'd love to rent a car in LA and visit the more local and non-touristy parts of California.
Some of these straight and windy streets slightly resembles of Campos do Jordão, a brazilian medium town in the eastern countryside of the State of São Paulo, also known as brazilian switzerland by its peculiar architecture applied to the houses, inspired in german style houses. Very nice video, thanks for sharing. Greetings from Brazil.
Can you make more of the California driving tours. I live looking at the green areas. So interesting. Those winding hills are amazing with surprises around every corner.
HOW I ENJOYED THIS SCENIC TRIP!!! I had not much desire to watch a trek through Hollywood, b/c I'm not a fan of that whole Hollywood don't-hate-me-because-I'm-beautiful scene; but I was really blown away during the drive downtown by those charming old buildings and astounding architecture. Just LOVELY!!! I felt as though I was in the car taking in the sights rather than just watching it on a small screen, thanks to the brilliant filing!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
This looks like a fairytale neighborhood. And it is so clean! I wish that other places all over would get inspired by this beauty. Truly wonderful would love to live there myself.
enjoyed this very much just enjoy long drives in places ill never see. thank you. I enjoy the video, shared to my facebook page . Ireland. peace to you this day.
Travelling through the roads of downtown of Hollywood, I am feeling just having an indigenous tour in the suburban region of our Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Bengaluru or any other downtowns of our Indian cities. Very interesting. I have found a great similarity and affinity in this Hollywood downtown journey. Thanks a lot for this video.
