Even before LCK’s (attempted) cancellation, you could tell he knew what pain and despair was. It made his comedy profound.
Many successful people, like Rogan, tend to pick up perspectives and ideologies that constantly congratulate themselves. Rogans comedy is pretty frivolous by comparison.
I love that LCK still gets it.
Rogan strikes me as a sensualist; whatever pleasures or levels of self-satisfaction he reaches, there is always some manlier, world-kicking way of getting more. He seems like an addict to me. But instead of taking drugs he goes to great lengths to force his body to create them.

You're so right, and what an absolute CHASM of intelligence and maturity that exists between Louis and his interviewer....
I hate the foolishness that Louis got busted for, which I think he probably came to the same realization with his own life- that he was at a an absolutely ridiculous point in his life if he's having to restrain himself from doing.. things.. in front of adult, consenting women. He seems to have awakened that just because his life, and people around him, were enabling him to engage in those atypical behaviors, that participating in those behaviors wasn't making him better, or his work better, and certainly wasn't helping those who tolerated the behavior.
Life isn't about being perfect, it's about learning and growing, and Louis is showing that he's capable of that. I think it's what makes his comedy and work so powerful. It's not the endless pointless navel gazing of some 'legendary' podcasters who are perpetually getting stronger, buffer, faster, more 'enlightened,'...

    • @NBH960

Hunting is actually very affordable for someone making a below average income, a hunting rifle can be pricy but still very in reach, and most states in America allow certain animals to be hunted for a certain season. Hunting is not a rich thing, it’s literally primitive living. Working out for 30 minutes to an hour 3 times a week (minimum) is also very realistic and affordable for below average income people. Don’t buy a sauna or cold plunge, you can get the same benefits being outside on a hot day, and taking a cold shower. I understand y’all like to take everything literal from these guys, but there’s usually affordable or DIY ways to do most things. The rich can afford to buy and replace, but it’s more economical and fulfilling to fix, restore, or create.

Sounds like jealous people trying to limit what others talk about because it makes them feel inferior, more of a personal issue if you ask me. Also anyone anywhere can work out, you don’t even need weights simply do body weight workouts and cardio, you’ll get shredded, hunting is common practice in most countries and cultures that have ever existed, your local wildlife may differ but I’m willing to guarantee every country in the world has had non-wealthy people hunt for sustenance at one point in time. If you live in a place where guns are illegal, hunting bowes are another suitable option. If hunting is illegal then I suggest you try and leave whatever fascist regime you’re currently living under, but until then you can purchase meat from a local butcher opposed to a grocery store, usually more exotic cuts and farm sourced meat instead of factory sourced.

It's strange because the first few seconds of Theo's podcast with Louis CK Theo is talking about a guy who would lay down on cold concrete when he would overheat and Louis connected with the story. @@lampad4549 he literally makes his living off of making jokes about just about anything he can possibly joke about, and he's MUCH more effective at it than a "comedian" like Joe Rogan is, and this is what makes Louise such a great one.
obviously Louise is not responsible for teaching Joe Rogan to learn to reflect on how he is rich... Louise is very simply acting as a voice for poor people (which Louise doesn't forget being) when he says that poor people don't give a fuck about rich peoples mundane problems like retarded ice baths and shit, and how if they are going to complain, that it's best to complain in private, because complaining publicly about having more than most people could dream of is outright arrogant and tone-deaf.

Yes, you do Louis. You're saying Joe is out of touch and real people don't genuinely concern themselves with this.
Joe is essentially conveying that he's so dialed in that getting his sauna level right is a real concern to him, and Louis is someone that whole heartedly loves finding the beauty in the mess and chaos that is people. Joe talking about having everything perfect is something Louis has no interest in, and seems to even shy away from. This is why Louis is truly fascinating

Louis C.K. is and was a top tier comedian. Part of his comedy is going to un PC or uncomfortable places, unusual takes on things. He's an incredibly smart guy as well. I found the Bert Kreischer interview interesting and hilarious in the sense that Louis sounded like Bert's psychiatrist (passively condescending and brilliant), when Bert did Bert and kept talking about himself. For the most part Louis let Bert sink himself with a few casual but pointed observations. Bert's whole schtik really hasn't changed for his whole career, he's sort of like a squeek laughing Jimmy Buffet as a comedian. This is the thing, Louis is going around the Comedy talk circuit to promote his stuff. So he has to do Rogan. The thing I don't like that Rogan keeps doing with the more universally famous people is bringing up Lex Fridmans name. I get it, Rogan likes him and maybe is trying to steer guests his way. But it doesn't work. I really can't see Louis C.K. doing Lex's show. Don't get me wrong, I actually like his show, nothing against him. The other thing is that like Brendan Schaub, Rogan is too slow. Not AS slow as Schaub but sometimes Joe misses subtleties because that's not his comedic style and he's a bit of a meathead, so guests end up looking puzzled or having to backtrack because Toe head didn't get the joke.

It was weard, it was like he would be kinda proving a point to the listeners something next to the actual topic 😅 I think he have noticed that audience isn't so keen of talking all the rich stuff by Joe talking with Segura etc. So he feels the need to say it is scientifical stuff and not rich people stuff. Totally kinda ignoring the point, Louie even says he agrees with the scientifical benefits, not having a problem with talking about it and whatever but is trying to contrast it with REAL world problems people have. Trying to bring out the weardness when you put next to some real plight of having to get water from a mile away everyday to saunas and whatever.. expensive clocks.
To me the topic is just funny since there is in here to every 1/3 people a sauna (I was in sauna yesterday) and dipping in frozen lake/sea is like done since a kid. The word sauna is exported from finnish. So the topic being so bougee is just also funny to me.

Joe Rogan’s ability to control. The conversation is extremely impressive sometimes I remember hearing his older podcast that he hated the when comics used to come on and pitch jokes all the time, the tactic that he use is one of the best ways to kill a joke act, oblivious and make the person explain the joke

    • @normalguycap
      @normalguycap Рік тому

Ironically the way to counter that tactic is to be even more sincere and genuinely explain the joke to him as if he was really that dumb.
