I've been hearing a lot about Nine Sols recently, gonna have to check it out soon. for me, animal well was my #1. playing and discovering secrets with the community right as it launched was such a great experience
Nine Sols was surprisingly a game I was kind of scared to play, but man did it shock me. I wonder if my playing Animal Well a few months later potentially hindered my experience. I do recall hearing about the community finding secrets together like it was an old school time before the internet.
Nine Sols is a genuine masterpiece. Ascended to my top 2 after playing once. It without a doubt has the best combat in the genre. The story was surprisingly profound and interesting, and I’m not a story guy at all. Hollow Knight was my number 1 for years, but Nine Sols is genuinely neck and neck for its qualities.
Thank you so much for making this video and spotlighting metroidvanias which is one of my favorite genres. When everyone only cares about one game in the mv genre we need more spotlight on it than ever
As great as Hollow Knight is, the genre goes so much deeper than that. I hope a lot of HK fans jump into a lot more metroidvanias. Thanks for the nice comment and supporting!
@@Burr_ I think Hollow Knight and Ori are still the gold standards that Nine Sols didn't quite reach. All the environments in Nine Sols look pretty much the same, and it actually doesn't have a very complicated or interesting map (just a central hub with branches basically). It's mainly focused on awesome combat. In Hollow Knight, the art, ambience, and music make you feel like you're in a different area. The moment you first enter the City of Tears and the music...one of the greatest gaming moments of all time.
I recommend The Mobius Machine (released March 2024). It was excellent. Sci-fi metroidvania with fun combat, great platforming, tons of hidden areas/paths, and extremely fun boss battles. I don't think this one got a lot of attention. Highly recommend it.
I’ve been playing nine sols, and although I still haven’t beaten the game yet, it is one of my favorite games. It’s basically a combination of hollow knight and sekiro. The only problem I’ve had with the game is some animations (primarily with smaller enemies), but the art is still immaculate. I would rate it 9.5/10.
I actually love Prince of persia new mechanics where you can take map screenshots, its such a great feature that i hope every metroidvania should adopt
Tough list to make. Feel like quite a few interesting ones came out later in the year, at least on console Just lately: BioMorph Venture to the Ville Symphonia Devil Within Satgat Conquistadora Bo Path Nine Sols Cookie Cutter Sooo many. And the art style of most of these are simply fantastic. Thanks for this video!
Crypt Custodian! Amazing game. Culmination of everything Kyle Thompson did before. Art style is great. And even story was fun. Simply fantastic. Anyone interested in it, do yourself a favor.
Prince of Persia was a masterpiece, I’m not a metroidvania guy but I loved the ori games and price of Persia and I’m now playing nine sols. Maybe I’m converting
Prince of Persia Lost Crown is sublime. So sad to see it not blow up huge since it’s an incredibly worthy entry. Think the $50 launch price scared people off. Thought too much for a metrovania, but the production value, and level design, art style, animations, and movement and combat felt ridiculously good. Played it for way longer than needed too just because running around fighting dude’s was so fun. Upgrades too are really deep and vast and really make you feel like progression is meaty, worthwhile upgrades
Ha. I think you might be. Same as you, and those games sucked me in. And while those IP are among the pinnacle of the genre, think if you really dug those you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what the genre has to offer lately. One not mentioned here but has an incredible 90s MTV era animation, fast fluid gameplay and combat … Cookie Cutter. Can find it pretty cheap and well worth $5 sale. I paid full price at launch and don’t regret. That said, it’s metrovania aspects have been done better elsewhere, but if approach it more as a stylish platformer, then discover it has some metrovania elements, should be pleasantly surprised.
Minishoot Adventures really didn't feel like a metroidvania to me, it was very linear and I didn't find myself wondering where to go since the map always had a giant pointer on the next dungeon. However, I LOVED playing the game!! It's so clean looking and fluid and satisfying to play. It's cheap, short and sweet and I can't recommend it enough
@@connorhale341 i was excited for blade chimera because it looked cool but recently i played wonder labyrinth and loved it. When i then found out blade chimera is by these same devs i got super hyped and we don't even have to wait much longer anymore because it's coming pretty soon.
Turbo Kid is a good one in my opinion. Another game I more softly recommend is Rebel Transmute, really enjoyed it but I had to use a critical path guide as I was getting lost and backtracking way too much. Level design isn’t forgiving at all, but I don’t know there is something that really appeals to me in that game still. Maybe it’s because I’ve never committed to Hollow Knight since I have no clue what to do and get bored, but it’s like Rebel Transmute is my Hollow Knight.
I’ve actually heard good things about Rebel Transmute. Nothing wrong with getting a tad lost sometimes as well. Turbo Kid is another one I’ve heard of and have it on my wish list
The only reason I haven't played Nine Sols is because I heard it's compared to Sekiro, thus can be hard and stressful. I'm just a casual player, although I've completed Hollow Knight or Elden Ring, I'm usually just reluctant to try 'hard' games, especially if being hard is what people like/boast aboit it (instead of the fun gameplay or lore or worldbuilding or level design, etc)
Just for your information. The game has "story mode", which let you decide the damage multipliers for hitting and getting hit. Difficulty won't be any problem for anyone who would like to try this game.

That's our Burr, great content as Always! I'm more a roguelike guy too, but I really appreciated this list and I'm on my way on Nine Sols, at a slow pace. I must have understood wrong, did you complete the game in 5 hours?? 😮 Again, great content as Always man ❤
Thanks for the kind words as always! Roguelites and metroidvanias seem to go hand and hand (in my eyes), and the few times they combined with each other can equate to something incredible. And for Nine Sols, I actually beat the game in about 40 hours. The final boss took me 5 hours alone to beat. Still love it
@@Burr_ I absolutely agree. My journey in indie games started some year ago with Ori and the Blind Forest, some time later Hollow Knight (my beloved) and then.. Roguelikes non stop. But sometimes I go back to metroidvania, like for Death Doors some years ago and now Nine Sols. 40 hours is really good 😍 and you're even a skilled player 💪 It'll take some time for me then, let's see 😅between PC and switch I had 200 hours on Hollow Knight, too good (but I still Need to beat Pantheon 4). I love both genres, but probably roguelikes are more versatile especially when you grow and have less time to dedicate to gaming. Anyway, for now I'm focused a lot on roguelikes and I love them, if you'd like I did a video about some of them (under 10€ version). Probably you already played all of them, but maybe you missed one that's not so famous 😉
I saw Nine Sols on the game pass, and I just decided to blind playthrough it. Absolutely zero regrets, i think its one of favourite games of all time. The character development is so incredible, and better yet, the combat and exploration are absolutely golden. My favourite part has to be how the different characters interact with eachother and built themselves though. 10/10, would recommend.
Ive been playing Nine Sols on Gamepass, AND DAMN ITS AMAZING!. I really cannot believe how underrated it is. I would leave it just below Hollow Knight, and we all know how popular that is.
Ngl I would love to watch you play roboquest it’s a genuinely multiplayer rogue lite with lots of possibilities, weapons, collectibles and some cool secrets too.
I recently finished Nine Sols and man i got such a joy playing it, but still i enjoyed Prince of Persia combat at lot more and the mechanics of the time and dashes. I just enjoyed it more. As gameplay, metroidvania core, puzzles, movement and fluidity and mechanics and combat. I liked Prince of Persia WAAAAY more than i did Nine Sols. While Nine Sols is pretty strong as a game i think they just felt a bit too flat on the maps exploration. It felt like you don't really have any exploration because everything is so clear and obvious with no really secrets on the map itself. Prince of Persia got a ton of secret rooms, puzzles, and things you find out of nowhere. Nine Sols lacked that sense of discovery for me on the map for me. Nine Sols on the other hands got a waaaaay better story, better artstyle, better music, better characters and writing. After reflecting on a finished game i noticed that enjoyed Nine Sols more for the everything i mention and not really for the gameplay or exploration itself. While they were very good i just didn't got the same level of enjoyment i got exploring and moving around Lost Crown map. Putting Nine Sol and Prince of Persia 1 and 2 is great. I personally would put PoP #1 or just make a tie with both games being equality masterpieces
Everyone talking about nine sols being MEGA HARD & Sekiro was a HUGE turn off for me. But bro… Nine sols is EASILY game of the year for me. It’s EASILY the best current gen game i’ve played! It’s also not THAT unwelcomingly hard. Yes it’s ball busting hard. But it’s forgiving in it’s parry mechanic. And the game is just ABSOLUTELY 10/10!!! I’ll say my ONLY gripe is gore. But it’s just a nit pick.
I’m surprised they don’t have an option to turn off the gore, but I agree with the big window of forgiveness with parrying, but love love love the game
Prince of Persia is my favorite this year, it felt like they took inspiration from Sands of Time and made everything better. Animal Well was a disappointment, it was so much hype for something that isn't even a Metroidvania. Fun to play but that's it. Biogun was a let-down as the insane button mapping threw me off. Will try to play it again when I've rewired my brain and/or surgically altered my hands.
Found your channel from this video as I’m a MV fanatic as well. Some suggestions for you… Go for hollow knight 100%. It was one of the pinnacle gaming experiences of my life. Play super Metroid map randomizer. It’s probably the best game mod I’ve ever played, and makes one of the best MV’s of all time new and endlessly replayable. I just got into those this year and they were awesome. Rogue Legacy 2. The game series is actually one of the essential roguelite series ever, kind of amazed you haven’t played it since you seem to be into roguelites. But RL2 is sort of a roguelite metroidvania blend. It starts out as a MV, and the world opens up as you get upgrades. Then the game becomes more of a pure roguelite, with emphasis on 2D platforming and combat. Excellent game. Lastly, if you want to dabble in Roguelikes, Spelunky 2 is exceptional. One of my favorite games ever, and way above Hades and Dead Cells for me. The Spelunky games are AMAZING and a classic of the roguelike genre. Soooooo good.
Thanks for watching and the suggestions! I do wanna replay Hollow Knight and fully finish it. So, hopefully in 2025 I will Metroid map randomizer is something I’ll need to look into. I always love Metroid RL2 is a top tier roguelite that nails that roguevania genre I always desire. Up their with Dead Cells in terms of enjoyment for me
my top 10 list 1. hollow knight 2. nine sols 3.grime 4. blasemphous series all 3 are fun asf 5. dead cells 6. omori 7.carrion(really really fun but its extremely short) 8. enter the gungeon 9. neon abyss 10. terraria(don't know if it counts so I put it at the bottom)
Wish would have been able to play PoP Lost Crown DLC earlier. Alreadt beat the game, but wish would have been able to access it during main play-through. Plan to go back to finish DLC. Is it a special area?
Prince of Persia was actually such an enjoyable experience for me, the movement and all the upgrades you get are so satisfying and feel super polished, really hope they make a second game
Prince of Persia is one of the best Metroidvanias period; I was quite surprised. I didn't get to 9sols this year, but it's in my backlog. I adored Crypt Custodian (and the boss rush mode gave me a bit more challenge since it had timers). Bonus points tht there's a randomizer built into the game from day 1. I tried and haven't finished Exophobia. I am currently playing Bo. I did play two that aren't on your list that I think are quite interesting. Rusted Moss has a very challenging style of moving and combat (shooting and swinging). It's kind of refreshing to think about movement in a different way. Rebel Transmute is a classic Metroid (NES) style game, where they don't really tell you how all the powers might synergize. You're left to your own devices - and it sort of feels like you have to innovate if you want to make progress. Maybe it's just my experience, but I kept getting to places that felt like it was out of order, but that the game encouraged. I never "sequence" broke anything that I could tell.
It’s interesting your the second comment talking about Rebel Transmute in that regard. Seems like a hella hard game Rusted Moss is one I’ll need to look up!
just finished Bo: path of lotus balls, and it was great. If you loved Ori, you will like it a lot. It's not as amazing as Ori, but pretty amazing still. Now playing Nine Sols. It's so so hard. haahahaa
Hollow knight gooners crying over no silksong when there's never been a better time to be an MV fan than now. There's literally DOZENS of high quality ones each year like blasphemous 1&2, prince of persia TLC, voidwrought, worldless, islets, crypt custodian, haiku, ghost song, FIST, ender lilies/magnolia, the last faith, afterimage, grime, nine sols, death's gambit, biomorph, biogun, ultros, bo path of the teal lotus, doomblade, 9 years of shadows, the last case of benedict fox, 8 doors, itorah, moonscars, gestalt, kingdom shell, ato, deadlit in wonder labyrinth and ofcourse Ori. That's only the past few years, there's also all the upcoming ones like crowsworn, mandragora, being&becoming, MIO, moadra, eden's guardian, mariachi legends and countless others. The genre is booming & thriving and all they do is complain about their messiah and shitting on other 'inferior' titles. I mean... Yeah, i think bloodborne is the best soulslike but does that mean i hate lies of p? NO! lies of p is awesome, it's more of what i love and same goes for MV's.
It's a shame that the small percentage (i assume small) of people who WORSHIP Hollow Knight disregard the genre as nothing can live up to Hollow Knight. Yea, it's a great game and maybe the best metroidvania out there, but man, like you're saying. There is SO MANY incredible games to play in the genre. I'll need to replay Hollow Knight to see if I like it more than something like Nine Sols to be honest
@Burr_ well if they're small they're certainly very vocal and obnoxious. I see it everywhere and most of it is not positive. I actually haven't played HK because i fell in love with the MV genre in 2021 playing the ori games. After that i discovered what is now my favorite genre and quickly started looking for more titles to play. It didn't take long for me to notice this toxicity of the fandom and i don't want to associate with it. I'm missing out on what's probably a pretty decent game but i'd rather have it this way than be associated with these twats
The fact nine sols wasn't nominated for anything at the game awards and has yet to be reviewed by sites such as IGN really speaks to the ignorance of the gaming industry.
Being lost is far from being a negative in metroidvanias. It’s also a rare feature these days, I wish more games made me feel the same way the original Metroid did. Super detailed maps showing where to go and what you missed kills the vibe a little bit and it becomes more of a “go here go there” instead of a “let me explore this area”
100% I think it’s nice having the option for that type of gameplay if you want it, but having the ability to have a little help will open the door for more people who may not enjoy the vagueness of some games.
Interestingly enough I have always disliked MVs until late mid-ish this year. I played through Mini Shoot Adventures and LOVED it (one of the few games I actually finished this year, along with one of my other all time favorite games Archvale) which led to the search for other games like it - of which there aren't any that I could find, unfortunately, but when I found it was an MV (who knew?) that led to looking for other MVs and, boy, there are a LOT of them. There were some coming out that looked cool which got me into the demos of games like Awaken, Resenta, Biogun, Sister's Journey, Stand Alone, Akatori, etc. which I thoroughly enjoyed. Giving in to my OC tendencies I started grabbing a bunch more, joined the metroidvania reddit group for recommendations which led to more pickups, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Skul, Oblivion Override, Prince of Persia - both of them, Foregone - amazing graphics, Weird Dream and more. Now I have a pretty substantial Steam group of MVs that I have been playing through with more that I am looking forward to being released. The OC is strong with this one....lol. Great video as usual, hope you and your fam have a Merry Christmas!
Love to see the metroidvania craze hit! I was pretty slow to get into it as well. Metroid was the big thing that did it for me back in like 2021 (so i was super late to it) Thank you always for the nice comments, and always supporting! Have a great, safe holiday season, you and your family
Thanks for watching! Sad to hear their is lazy slop of 'content' out there for the stuff like this. Saddens me A boomer shooter is something (to me) that inspires to be played like a classic DOOM or Wolfenstein game, but spices up the genre a big with movement, abilities, or more.
Those elements of the game allow for a much more meaningful story to be told and helps connect you to the characters more. Can 100% understand not everyone enjoying it though!
Prince of persia i don't get the hype. I've put it down because of the boring button bashing hack and slash and the repetitive nature of the game. This game feels like a waste of time when 10 times better options are still waiting. Disappointing game.
hello 1st/i have played bo and yes it was nice but as you said the final boss was so freaking annoying that i didn't try it for more than an hour i watched the 6 phases on youtube it was super long, super boring (some phases repeating as if it was not hard enough to go through the earlier phases) and all this got me going back to the store where i bought the physical copy and sell them back so i would never have to go through this sh*t again 2nd/i have played crypt custodian, islets, and sheepo and yes they were all much more enjoyable content 3rd/i have tried the demo of prince of persia and even if i noticed the amount of good feedbacks it has received, i had a feeling of something not pleasant visually + hard and empty at the same time (not really exciting) i will try animal well and maybe minishoots adventures+biogun depending if they reach in ps premium / if there is a demo / if i have time thanks won't try nine sols because i don't like games to hard like hollow knight
youve gotta try biogun !!!!! its soooo good.. and the devs could use some love. trust me your gonna love it. BIOGUN de throoned super metroid for me ....
IIRC Silksong was announced in a Nintendo Direct and we got our first hands-on look at it with their live Treehouse. That's why people think a release date might be revealed in a future Direct.
Some of these games are available on GoG (DRM-free games) or EGS (can run games without official launcher), which is not mentioned in the video. I only disliked video because of this, thinking why the hell none of these games exist on alternative stores. It turns out author of the video didn't bothered to check
Nine Sols was ROBBED at The Game Awards!!! 😠😠
I was saddened to see it not win a single award
Tga collabed with bilibili, the chinese youtube this year, so red candle games got ignored is expected
I feel like we need a segmented ‘indie game awards’ if games like this are ever going to get their due against the AAA group.

Ive been playing Nine Sols on Gamepass, AND DAMN ITS AMAZING!. I really cannot believe how underrated it is. I would leave it just below Hollow Knight, and we all know how popular that is.
Thank you for these recommends
Animal Well and Prince of Persia were fantastic. Planning to get Nine Sols on physical release. These all look killer, though.
It’s been a blessed year for metroidvanias. Don’t know how 2025 could come close to topping it (minus silksong)
Nine Sols No.1 of all time.
Pronounced - Shuan Huan
I heard of this new underrated game named silksong that came out this year. I think you should give it a try!!
Sounds interesting. I’ll look into it
come on don't loose hope, we still have 9 days for the game to release
Ngl I would love to watch you play roboquest it’s a genuinely multiplayer rogue lite with lots of possibilities, weapons, collectibles and some cool secrets too.
It's one of the games I really want to play so much more of. Maybe I'll restart it and go for asolid 100% on it
Wow, metroid and vania
All in one video
But bro…
Nine sols is EASILY game of the year for me.

Is Gestalt Steam and Cinder actually on the eShop? The video says it's out but I can't find it.
Oh it turns out it isn’t. It’s announced for switch but doesn’t have a release date. Sorry about that :(
@@Burr_ Thanks for clarifying, great video :)
How do you get the good ending on Nine Sols?
I can't remember exactly, but all i did was collect literally everything in the game
Found your channel from this video as I’m a MV fanatic as well. Some suggestions for you…
Go for hollow knight 100%.
So, hopefully in 2025 I will
Metroid map randomizer is something I’ll need to look into. I always love Metroid
RL2 is a top tier roguelite that nails that roguevania genre I always desire. Up their with Dead Cells in terms of enjoyment for me
@ nice. I didn’t see RL2 on your tier list so I wasn’t sure you had played it. Glad to hear you also enjoyed it.
happy seeing biogun on the list. deserves more recognition. also i cant beat nine sols final boss 3rd phase. im sad.
Nah its laggy as hell and very buggy
Can’t wait to play Bo Path
my top 10 list
1. hollow knight
2. nine sols
3.grime
4. blasemphous series all 3 are fun asf
5. dead cells
6. omori
7.carrion(really really fun but its extremely short)
8. enter the gungeon
9. neon abyss
10. terraria(don't know if it counts so I put it at the bottom)
bro i would like to know what is the name of the second game that appears in the introduction of the favor video please, minute 13:22.

Wish would have been able to play PoP Lost Crown DLC earlier. Alreadt beat the game, but wish would have been able to access it during main play-through.
Plan to go back to finish DLC. Is it a special area?
oh cool ya did try it... biogun is sooo good
Haha yea, it's a very underrated game. I love your passion for it
Prince of Persia was actually such an enjoyable experience for me, the movement and all the upgrades you get are so satisfying and feel super polished, really hope they make a second game
Yea, I heard good things going in, but it blew me away! Loved it
The team behind it has been disbanded for not meeting desired sales, sadly no continuation
Gold standard. Should be looked back upon in 5 years as one of the better in the genre. Just hate that it got so overlooked
@matekovacs9867I know! Damn you Ubisoft
Just finished Nine Sols 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What the name of this game here 00:12?
Alwa's Legacy! A nice little metroidvania with more puzzle aspects. The second of the series after Alwa's Awakening. Both good games!
I heard Nine Sols and Prince are both ridiculously hard games - even for a Hollow Knight 100%-er?
Nine Sols was definitely the harder of the two, but I think a HK 100%er could easily beat it. Prince of Persia has more difficulty options
I am breaking my teeth on nine sols right now, it is indeed very very hard
Nine sols is just too good it's better than hollow knight imo
Seems like a hella hard game
Rusted Moss is one I’ll need to look up!
just finished Bo: path of lotus balls, and it was great. If you loved Ori, you will like it a lot. It's not as amazing as Ori, but pretty amazing still.
Now playing Nine Sols. It's so so hard. haahahaa
Nine Sols is great but had to switch to Story Mode and it still kills me
You can always go back and tackle it again!
whats the game in the first 3 seconds of the video please?
The Messenger. Absolute GEM of a game
@Burr_ thank you. Looks good.
Nice subtle dunk on the Nintendo Indie Direct haters 🤣
Someone had to do it to em
The fact nine sols wasn't nominated for anything at the game awards and has yet to be reviewed by sites such as IGN really speaks to the ignorance of the gaming industry.
I only got the first ending of nine sols, maybe ill get the true one as well sometime
Im currently playing celeste
name of the first game of the video?
The Messenger. Absolutely incredible game
CRYPT CUSTODIAN MENTION YAAAAAA 🐈⬛
IT'S (one of) THE GOATS
Metroid was the big thing that did it for me back in like 2021 (so i was super late to it)
Thank you always for the nice comments, and always supporting! Have a great, safe holiday season, you and your family
I searched for a list like this and yours is the first one that didn't have a lifeless AI narrator. So, you got my view. What is a "Boomer Shooter?"
Thanks for watching! Sad to hear their is lazy slop of 'content' out there for the stuff like this. Saddens me
A boomer shooter is something (to me) that inspires to be played like a classic DOOM or Wolfenstein game, but spices up the genre a big with movement, abilities, or more.
Will Gestalt ever going to release on PS consoles?
I want Biogun!
Will this come to consoles?
I hope so! If anything it will probably be on Switch first but i know the team at Dapper Dog wants to get out on consoles ASAP
Have you played BlazBlue Entropy Effect?
I have not, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about it
nine sols felt liuke a ninja baby sitting game. biogun is my goty
Those elements of the game allow for a much more meaningful story to be told and helps connect you to the characters more. Can 100% understand not everyone enjoying it though!
Nine Sols is so immersive but it doesn't give me HK vibe at all. Boring conversations. But i should admit it. It's the best platform game of 2024.
It probably has the best boss fights in any 2d game
I like prince of persia better than 9 sols.
Animal well is right where it belongs. It was not that great. I loved Nine Sols 100% my favourite this year.
Based list
Thank you for watching and supporting
Prince of persia i don't get the hype. I've put it down because of the boring button bashing hack and slash and the repetitive nature of the game. This game feels like a waste of time when 10 times better options are still waiting. Disappointing game.
❤
I found the controls and feel of Hollow Knight to be not fun, especially compared to the games like Dead Cells.
The feel of hollow knight is perfect
It took me 5 hours to beat the end boss…and I’m out.
If it helps it was a three phase fight because of the true ending on standard mode (harder difficulty) with just beating the game it’s two phases
@ I long ago came to the conclusion that I’d rather get a root canal than play a Souls game, so I’m guessing Nine Sols isn’t for me.
hello
1st/i have played bo and yes it was nice but as you said the final boss was so freaking annoying that i didn't try it for more than an hour
i watched the 6 phases on youtube it was super long, super boring (some phases repeating as if it was not hard enough to go through the earlier phases) and all this got me going back to the store where i bought the physical copy and sell them back so i would never have to go through this sh*t again
2nd/i have played crypt custodian, islets, and sheepo and yes they were all much more enjoyable content
3rd/i have tried the demo of prince of persia and even if i noticed the amount of good feedbacks it has received, i had a feeling of something not pleasant visually + hard and empty at the same time (not really exciting)
i will try animal well and maybe minishoots adventures+biogun depending if they reach in ps premium / if there is a demo / if i have time
thanks
won't try nine sols because i don't like games to hard like hollow knight
youve gotta try biogun !!!!! its soooo good.. and the devs could use some love. trust me your gonna love it. BIOGUN de throoned super metroid for me ....
It’s literally their number 4 feature
Top 10 Metroidvania Games of 2025
Top 1: Silksong
I hope so
bo is nothing like hollow knight combat. in bo you are fighting entirely in the air. beside the pogo the rest of the combat system entirely different
IIRC Silksong was announced in a Nintendo Direct and we got our first hands-on look at it with their live Treehouse. That's why people think a release date might be revealed in a future Direct.
i only saw 3 metroidvania. where re the others?
Really? You had to show the last 3 bosses of Nine Sols and some of the latest zones too?
Where is Turbo Kid? Bunk list
Some of these games are available on GoG (DRM-free games) or EGS (can run games without official launcher), which is not mentioned in the video.
I only disliked video because of this, thinking why the hell none of these games exist on alternative stores. It turns out author of the video didn't bothered to check
Hollow knight was shadow dropped on the switch on a Nintendo direct
nine year of shadow is just average
Still one Iwant to give a try to
