I'm surprised you mentioned Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon without mentioning the prior retrain Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. I'm curious about your thoughts on THAT card.
It’s worth mentioning that it already has a better counterpart in “Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.” If you control no other face-up cards, it can attack your opponent up to three times per turn by sending blue-eyes fusion monsters from your extra deck to the graveyard. It then gives protection to your blue-eyes monsters if it’s in the graveyard. By banishing it, you get to negate and destroy cards that target your blue-eyes monster. It may not be the most competitive card, but it’s far superior to the regular Ultimate Dragon.
With BEUD, Twin Burst, Neo BEUD, and the new Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, it is absolutely criminal that there is no Blue-Eyes Fusion. Red-Eyes has one, DM has Timaes and Keeper, HERO's have like 15, and basically every deck from Ancient Gears to Shaddols, to Metalfoes, to Infernoids, to pretty much everything! Are there any spell cards or effects that make usage out of Normal Monsters (as well as Extra Deck summons that lack an effect?)? If not, there should be, because Normal Monsters REALLY get left in the dust by their effect-using counterparts since they have absolutely nothing to rely on except raw power (and for some of them, they don't even have that much..... it's quite sad, really).
I’ll be honest, I absolutely love Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and his retrains. I do actually play Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon in my Blue-Eyes Deck, though I do understand why most people wouldn’t play it in a Blue-Eyes deck, Fusions in that deck are a pretty slow outside of maybe Twin Burst. I do bring Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon out sometimes but I usually just choose to bring out Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, though I don’t bring him out too often either, I usually just stick with bringing out Twin Burst, First of the Dragons, my Synchros, or my rank 8 Xyz monsters. Anyway, my point is while lots of people like the card and think it’s awesome, it’s not very competitive and you normally wouldn’t throw it in a Blue-Eyes Deck very often.
Arkyre I do play Neo, I bring him out more often than I do the original Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. But sometimes I do still bring out Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon just because the card is pretty cool and nostalgic, I also send him off of Neo a lot

i was a little disappoint that you mentioned shining, but didnt talk about it. blue eyes ultimate might as well be an extra deck ritual card that says sack 3 blue eyes, bring out shining from your hand. shining has enough base attack to be worth it, plus he buffs for every dragon in the graveyard which justifies ultimates cost a little bit. and hes got wicked protection effects. shining also discourages cheezing ultimate to the field cuz then you get less attack power.
I used to be so proud of my strategy of using King of the Swamp and Black Luster Soldier to summon Dragon Master Knight without summoning Blue-Eyes Ultimate first. Truly the secret meta of the GX era.
@@cameraredeye3115 lol not even close to viable. The future fusion dragon's mirror combo for FGD was far more viable than running a brick like BLS. DMK was only ever good for novelty.
I hope they create 2 things to make the Ultimate Dragon more viable. 1. A card that can special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Graveyard and Hand. 2. Either an Extra Deck Monster or a new Fusion Spell (or both) that allows you to Fusion Summon him more safely and with less cost on your hand and field a.k.a. fusing Blue-Eyes from the deck and/or with a protection effect. Then with all that, you could consider trying builds with Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Neutron Blast for fun OTK's.
You could theoretically run it in Tenyi as their counter trap floats into any non-effect monster from your hand or extra deck and this is the highest attack monster you can summon and then protect with their main deck monsters. But their Link 3 is actually useful outside of the floating effect that barely even happens and thus doesn't clog your extra deck and it has 3000 attack, at that point 1500 extra attack doesn't matter.
Man I miss my OG deck I had back when Yugioh first became a thing. I had 3 BEWD, Dark Magician, Summoned Skull, REBD and the Thousand Eyes Restrict fusion combo. Nobody in my entire school could ever beat me.
perfect evaluation of why Ultimate Dragon got power crept hard. TCG players were unfortunate to not have been able to play this card due to it not being released for a long time where as the OCG got to have fun with it during the early days of the game even when decks like Monarchs were a thing back then. why lose 4 cards to get one dragon that can get Kaiju'd the next turn especially if said Dragon either gets it's atk negated, is prevented from attacking, or is destroyed right away since it's a Vanilla fusion with no protection

I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh for nearly 16 years now and I've never used Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon in any decks I build but I still think it's a really powerful card😎👍
tyrannus Targaryen Why?
A regular blue eyes with axe of despair is already so close to blue eyes ultimate.
Megamorph: 6000
Are there any spell cards or effects that make usage out of Normal Monsters (as well as Extra Deck summons that lack an effect?)? If not, there should be, because Normal Monsters REALLY get left in the dust by their effect-using counterparts since they have absolutely nothing to rely on except raw power (and for some of them, they don't even have that much..... it's quite sad, really).
3 blue eyes white dragon can't win to a 3100 atk monster but blue eyes ultimate dragon can win
For me, my favorite monster to get summoned in the anime has always been Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Restrict.
Nobody:
Dzeeff: Commentators don't understand Blue Eyes ultimate Dragon.
yEAh lmao
If you're gonna play ultimate play neo
Arkyre I do play Neo, I bring him out more often than I do the original Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. But sometimes I do still bring out Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon just because the card is pretty cool and nostalgic, I also send him off of Neo a lot
This is the most bias "Why nobody summons" even though you can trade 3 and get them back instantly.
The real reason nobody runs it is because they can't do a negate lockdown deck to trolls their opponent to surrender first turn
Congrats on 100K!
Why didn't you mention Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon?
Forgot
Congrats on 100k!!
Hey I play 3 blue eyes ultimate to banish with pot of extravagance.
Not really I use stardust monsters because they are way cooler.
Congrats on 100K subscribers!!!
CYBER STEIN> -5000LP > I summon BLUE EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON!!
Attack > Mirror force or magic cylinder is activated > cry
@@alvaromarjalizo5904 oh i got 3 mystical tyyphoons, giant trunade, that hurricane thing and 2 axe of despairs with 2 more malevolent nuzzlers
1 shot ezpk gg pwned
7900 blue eyes and cyberstein ATTACK!
Blue eyes white dragon OG players joined the chat
i was a little disappoint that you mentioned shining, but didnt talk about it. blue eyes ultimate might as well be an extra deck ritual card that says sack 3 blue eyes, bring out shining from your hand. shining has enough base attack to be worth it, plus he buffs for every dragon in the graveyard which justifies ultimates cost a little bit. and hes got wicked protection effects. shining also discourages cheezing ultimate to the field cuz then you get less attack power.
Blue-Eyes is cool and all but what about Trains?
Hey!!!! Congrats for the 100K!!
Because when I play I never draw 3 blue eyes and polymerization
I do lol
I had blue eyes ultimate drangon 1st tern 1 time
...
Why didnt you mention Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon? Its not great but worth a mention.
I feel like it's a useful enough card to have in your extra deck in case the situation arises.
I used to be so proud of my strategy of using King of the Swamp and Black Luster Soldier to summon Dragon Master Knight without summoning Blue-Eyes Ultimate first. Truly the secret meta of the GX era.
Honestly, I find that amazing in itself. But hey, at least it's legal and actually somewhat viable :P
@@cameraredeye3115 lol not even close to viable. The future fusion dragon's mirror combo for FGD was far more viable than running a brick like BLS. DMK was only ever good for novelty.
What about Neo blue eyes Ultimate Dragon
Good job on 100k! :)
U could literally make zombiestein with the same attack but u get a negate
You’re at 100k! Congrats!
Blue eyes poppy dragoon
I hope they create 2 things to make the Ultimate Dragon more viable. 1. A card that can special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Graveyard and Hand. 2. Either an Extra Deck Monster or a new Fusion Spell (or both) that allows you to Fusion Summon him more safely and with less cost on your hand and field a.k.a. fusing Blue-Eyes from the deck and/or with a protection effect. Then with all that, you could consider trying builds with Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Neutron Blast for fun OTK's.
Woah! You just passed 100k! Congrats!
I bought this card just because of how cool it was and yes I bought three blue eyes white dragons, years later through out all my cards
This strategy only works if you threaten to kill yourself when your opponent is about to win
Dzeef!!! Congrats on 100k subs!!!!!!!
I don't even need to watch the video and I know exactly why no one plays it, other than my scrub self 5 years ago. But I'm going to watch anyway, cause I love your videos.
congrats on 100k!
