"Me and my Dad are both going to take our championship winning F1 cars around Monaco!" That's one hell of a sentence to be able to say right there! I suppose with Graham Hill dying when Damon was still a boy, it's the first time anyone has ever been able to say that.
Gilles wasn't able to win any WDC's before his fatal crash. Also Kimi doesn't want Robin to start race car driving but I doubt that he would stop his son if Robin wants to race. I think the next F1 father and son champions will be Michael and Mick Schumacher but I don't think Michael will ever be able to drive again.
I think he will no longer be able to drive, but obviously I hope that one day it will be possible for him to drive that fantastic Ferrari one more time
You and your father wrote history again driving on Monaco circuit in your winning F1 cars. I had a big smile on my face for the entire video. I can barely get how much did you enjoy this day. Be proud Nico and God bless you and your family.
It´s a privilege when we see two generations performing such stellar appearance on the track again. Nico I saw the admiration for you in your father eyes. And that worth all in life, trust me.
Remember it's also the one, the first ever F1 car A. Senna tried. Twice the legend. Hill can never do it with his father , sadly. Hello to mister Monaco so.
I have to confess before knowing Nico and watching his channel, I judged him a playboy...that was my first impression and I was sooo wrong. Great channel Nico, your interviews are amazing and you extract sooo much from your guests that they become like a lecture almost. The insights from Toto, for example, are priceless. Thank you Nico! You rock!
Nico is so gregarious, has a such a contagious joie de vivre. He is interested in everyone and enjoys connecting with people. You can see how everybody is lifted by his presence. It is beautiful to watch.
As a fan of UA-cam and f1 I feel that what you're doing for the sport and this platform is amazing! Loved seeing this, loved seeing the formula e thing, the recent content has been off the chart!
1982 was one of the most incredible seasons in F1 history. The height of ground-effect, and the rise of the turbos, made for a grid of truly unbelievable machines. A championship battle that went right down to the wire, with so many different drivers taking wins (Keke himself became champion while winning only one race!). And of course, the tragic loss of one of the most iconic legends of the sport, Gilles Villeneuve, the champion that never was.
Fantastic! Keke was my first driving hero when I got into F1 at the start of '82. As a Williams fan ever since, I followed Nico both with the team then with Mercedes. Seeing them in FW08 & W07 was so special. Seeing them enjoying it so much was priceless.
Wow. Such huge difference in those two cars. Keke was an amazing driver in his time. Always attacking. Late in his career he suffered badly because limited amount of fuel did not fit his aggressive style of driving.
This was beautiful! It was very nice to see you back in your car for one last drive on Monaco! Don’t care what others say, you’re a true champion and one of the best drivers in the world!
It must feel really special being able to share such an experience with your father, great video Nico, all the best for whatever you choose to do in the future mate. ;)
What a great video! I love to see how happy you are in your videos. Shows the fun side of F1 instead of all the seriousness and rivalries that sometimes get out of control! Keep it up!
Thanks for helping Robert. You did awesome job for us. I am very proud to see polish driver again in F1. I hope that Robert back to F1 as full driver. As all we see Robert have very good times on track, soo we will se after season what gonna happen next. Nico, find another job for him. Everyone know that he is very good driver.
If the current 2 drivers don't get their act together I feel we might see Robert in the car sooner than a lot of people think. The only realistic chance Williams have of getting any points at all this year is to put the fastest driver they have back in.
Braveheart yea, we will see. So pirelli tires test will be soon, I think Robert will drive this day. Williams should take Robert. But look - Sirotkin gave cash to Williams for driver seat. Stroll the same. My conclusion is simple. The true driver is Robert. Another drivers are only like kids in lunapark who paid for drive.
I saw this in tv, but in the your perspective it's really emotional, intense and lovely. I appreciate much this video, thank you so much for this vlog ❤.
CollinProduction They have shared and survived something very people ever will know. And because they are smart, without ever hitting a tabloid. MUCH respect!
Ah now that was emotional ,what an experience and a memory that you and dad will cherish , a very rare and proud moment for him . Both world champions both Gentlemen 👏
NICO, through youtube got to know you better than you were in F1 so differently you are a very nice person. I got a slightly different impression when you were in F1.
Many years ago I watched Niki Lauda and Alain Prost and always got the impression Lauda was arrogant and Prost was a cool guy. Then I read their autobiographies. Boy was I wrong, totally the opposite. Later history with Senna and the French run FIA showed Prost to be what he really was.
I think we're all a bit guilty of judging the drivers personality as a whole when in reality we have very little information to go on and they're acting under the utmost pressure in what is the pinnacle of competitive motorsports rather than a personality contest. Usually it says more about our own prejudices and preconceptions than it does the actual drivers lol.
Nico finally became a world champ when he stopped acting like a gentleman and started acting more like a selfish F1 driver hell bent on winning. Something I think he learned from partnering Lewis.
Just imagine both you and your dad are F1 Champions and race in both of your respective Championship winning cars. That's a legit Father's day experience.
Awesum to see you both on track...Keke was very popular in his early days and we were all privileged to be able to see him racing down in little ol New Zealand...
Could not agree more - he is too closed - look at how Vettel, Ricciardo and Raikkonen, LeClerk, Sainz and co give us so much more even whilst they are at the helm
Seeing you back in the car with the helmet and the over-alls make me want to see you back in racing wether its formula e or f1, you always seemed to be such an interesting character in the paddock :)
I started watching F1 a year or two after your dad stopped racing in F1, but my dad would tell me all about him. It was great to see you two on track together. You sir are a top man
Hey Nico we really appreciate these cool videos many thanks dude! great to see you and your dad together very special for us the people to see! and i can only imagine how amazing it must feel!!! All i can say is i have a son who i love dearly it doesnt matter to me what he does in life but you guys have achieved something that only a few will ever do so i cant imagine how proud you must be of your dad and how proud he must be of you! thanks for these amazing videos of behind the scenes, we appreciate you thinking about us the people RESPECT!!!!
Agreed. He makes the best driver content I've seen. Nobody else shares so much and or is in a position to share so much in the current day and age. Brundel is always pretty good, but he is getting out of date and we want some modern stories shared too! Nico is giving us that.
Nico should have driven his Dads car then we could have seen how good he really is or isn't. Nice to see the 2 of them on track together must have been an awesome experience for them both.
Well they didn´t go for limits surely but just for the sake of their opinions it would have been fun if they had swapped cars. I´d assume the bill for a lap at Monaco with these cars is such that even people with incomes at the level of F1 champions get bit queasy so that´s probably why they didn´t do more of this.
Yes guys, he said red car. But im the big boss who makes the decisions! I have to make sure that rosberg is all about it, and not only there for his personal entertainment
Nico- you have a very good life that is wholesome and can be proud of and this is obvious in the video . A father who is proud of his son, a son who left F1 as a world champion & then making sure you are still engaged by connecting with fans and making great content. Sometimes it is not enough to win, it is also great to know when to make the exit - and you couldn’t have times it better! Keep this content going !!
Beautiful! What a wonderful moment having these two champions together. I love the new high tech F1 cars but there nothing more special, more emotional, more visceral than a ground-effects Formula 1 machine.
Imagine how awkward it can be if you crash during a important lap like that with 2 classic cars *Yes, the 2016 car is classic, everything in the past is classic imo* What a incredible lap tho, well done Rosbergs
I am happy Nico is enjoying his retirement. Lewis may be flawless, but the fighting spirit and persistence that Nico brought to the sport in recent history, thats un matched. After 2014 and 2015, many would have lost hope and flown into oblivion but Nico is special. What a legend and an example of never giving up... Good luck Nico.
Those guys train so much for so long, those cars are probably like an extension of their hands, feet, and brains. Muscle memory that's never forgotten. 😀
When saw nico on the track two years back very sincere and focused I have to say he was a bit like always worried and cause it’s a lot of pressure on track. But now to see him all happy and relaxed makes me like him even more and shows how cool he is off track. Great job nico and love your videos

Mikeado66 let's see if it happens with the Räikkönen boys
Yup, one helluva thing to say and do for sure.
Giles and Jacques too

I think he will no longer be able to drive, but obviously I hope that one day it will be possible for him to drive that fantastic Ferrari one more time
@Nnaemeka Omeruo Michael hit his head on a rock during a skiing trip. This was a while ago now but Schumacher isn’t what he used to be anymore.
@Nnaemeka Omeruo I am also 15 and I don't understand how could you not hear for that, it happened in 2013.
@Nnaemeka Omeruo Have you just been born or living under a rock
People, You don't need to be rude, the guy is just asking a question.
Watched your dad win his 82 championship and watched you win yours!!! Very special for me to watch this!!! Awesome! Thank you👍👍
You that old (at least 39) or was it a replay?
DL 14 I am 54
God damm sir. I’ve been on this earth for less of a quarter of your life. I respect you sir and hope you live a long life.
DL 14 thank you , and you as well😎
Dude, 39 is not "that old"
I never realized how beautiful Keke's helmet was until now.
Sus
Is that what his wife said?
I love how it still has the mobira sponsors and everything on it. Mobira was Nokia's name in the 80's
😳
Dude don't be gay. At least talk about his hottie!
it's good to see Rosberg wearing his Mercedes suit and helmet. Reminds me of the good old days from 2014 to 2016
That just may have been a couple of sizes larger.
"You still have everything" Sounds like Vettel's holding the camera lol @1:19
Not Horner ?
mat B sounded like not
mat B both*
Yeah vettel or horner
Yeah! Seems definitely Seb

giorx5 So great to see camaraderie in F1 over idiot Snapchat rivalry & one-upmanship!
It´s a privilege when we see two generations performing such stellar appearance on the track again.
Nico I saw the admiration for you in your father eyes. And that worth all in life, trust me.
That Williams is priceless with Keke in it.

@@RiXFortuna A buncha STDs, HIV positive and a severely painful slow death. Those could go wrong 😂
Great joy in you face, Nico...very emotional! Probably the best video of the channel ✌️

Duo Motovlog I
Agree.
these early 80's Williams were amazing....beautiful cars
He actually comes across as a nice guy, and how beautiful is his wife!!!! Lucky man
Leo leo Smart! Weren't they together for a decade before marrying? Completely celebrated his victory together, think he called her Mrs. WDC!
u.n. owen
Compared to how some other f1 drivers come across, nico seems to be a pleasant approachable person
I wolud be too if I would live in Monaco , had a qorgeous wife and many millions $ on the bank. It's easy to be nice and chill like that :)
Ramon on bass if you're not like that now you'd unlikely become that way if you could more easily afford not to. . but I hope so.👍
Every single one of us turns into a monster when the competition is real.
“In our championship cars” that’s such a flex 😂
they are F1 world champions
they have every right to flex
Nico is so gregarious, has a such a contagious joie de vivre. He is interested in everyone and enjoys connecting with people. You can see how everybody is lifted by his presence. It is beautiful to watch.
The part when Nico pretty much transmits the fact that his dad had a massive 12.5 incher when driving that 82 car killed me from laughter
As a fan of UA-cam and f1 I feel that what you're doing for the sport and this platform is amazing! Loved seeing this, loved seeing the formula e thing, the recent content has been off the chart!

I don't know why but the hug of father and son at the end got me a bit chocked up. Really think it's adorable and awesome F1 did this
The best vlog of yours....two great drivers from their different time in history....big smile on my face, thank you Nico.
5:28 "maybe I need to consider getting back in the red car" - whaaat seriuosly Nico, that would be awesome!
Deine Videos sind so unterhaltsam! Mega geil :)

Absolutely amazing Keke & Nico!!!!!
Wow. Such huge difference in those two cars. Keke was an amazing driver in his time. Always attacking. Late in his career he suffered badly because limited amount of fuel did not fit his aggressive style of driving.
You mean the high speed economy runs. It was NOT racing.
This was beautiful! It was very nice to see you back in your car for one last drive on Monaco! Don’t care what others say, you’re a true champion and one of the best drivers in the world!
This was awesome. Almost moved to tears. So awesome to do this with ur dad.
I also got a bit emotional lol. It must've felt really special to share that with his dad.
I still find it amazing that Keke won his championship with only 1 win
you are a very lucky man to be able to share this with your dad.
i don't know about anyone else but i really really love Nico's helmet design
5:30 Nico making a Ferrari F1 comeback ?
I would actually love to see that happen, although i think he was just joking.
He definitely said the red car that would be awesome man wow
AOTanoos22 i am currently talking with his manager about a historic comeback. Lets see what is going to happen!
This could be a massive hint or just a joke but i am a believer.
Maurizio Arrivabene
Any F1 Driver is a legend only by winning the title in a red car. Get it done for Seb damn it, and let's see them both battling
Your VLOGS are the best Nico!
That was great to see you and your dad in the Monaco circuit together, driving your original F1 cars. Just awesome!
„I could go for a qualifying lap“ 5 seconds later „massive lockup!“
What a proud and fantastic day. Both World Champions!
It must feel really special being able to share such an experience with your father, great video Nico, all the best for whatever you choose to do in the future mate. ;)
That was for a magical day to see your dad driving again, I remember his races and yours too thank you both for that lovely treat!
Wow! awesome to see Rosberg senior on track too!
Yes, this the awesome thing of this video
What a great video! I love to see how happy you are in your videos. Shows the fun side of F1 instead of all the seriousness and rivalries that sometimes get out of control! Keep it up!
Nico giving new material for conspiracy about a potential Ferrari comeback ☝🏼
He can't come back. Daniel Ricciardo has his name on the seat. Of course HE ISN'T a world champion, is he.
David Edwards Enzo would make Nico give up his 300SL, like Surtees had to give up his 507 (& pay for his Ferrari!). Nico wont' do it!
@Tom Smith Unfortunately not...but I don't think that he would be interested in racing SF1000 atm :D
Can't get better than this. A father and son on monaco on their winning cars. Hope we see you again on the track.

Yea i must say that he had a great season!
Such a great moment. Very special to see. I'm old enough to have seen both father and son become world champions.
Sehr geil lieber Nico. LG an Papa er ist der grösste , hat alles richtig gemacht. Genau wie du. 🖒
Nico you look so happy to be back in your car, something is telling me you will come back to F1 sooner than later
I saw this in tv, but in the your perspective it's really emotional, intense and lovely. I appreciate much this video, thank you so much for this vlog ❤.

Nice to see Keke in the vlog, you even managed to get a few words out of him on camera!
kanava His tv interviewer mentioned how chatty he was being!

Incredible
Awesum to see you both on track...Keke was very popular in his early days and we were all privileged to be able to see him racing down in little ol New Zealand...
Nico is a great ambassador for our sport! Lewis could learn a thing or two from him.
Could not agree more - he is too closed - look at how Vettel, Ricciardo and Raikkonen, LeClerk, Sainz and co give us so much more even whilst they are at the helm
I love this. Can you imagine Mick and Michael, Bruno and Ayrton,

What a magical moment for both of you.
I wonder if Liberty Media follows your youtube channel? They would learn a lot about bringing F1 closer to the fans if they followed your lead.
Agreed. He makes the best driver content I've seen. Nobody else shares so much and or is in a position to share so much in the current day and age. Brundel is always pretty good, but he is getting out of date and we want some modern stories shared too! Nico is giving us that.

That Mercedes wear looks so natural on him
Wow, I almost didn't recognized his father. Be a long time since his racing days. He raised a great son.
What a wholesome video of father and son sharing a track in their championship winning cars🙏🏾
Keep up the entertainment and you'll be a big youtuber as well
It was very emotional watching dad and son racing together. Congratulation to the Champions.
5:34 Did you say red car?! 😱
adithya mahesh right car. Not red.
Na he clearly said red.
he said red 100% lmao
right car
Yes guys, he said red car. But im the big boss who makes the decisions! I have to make sure that rosberg is all about it, and not only there for his personal entertainment
Nico- you have a very good life that is wholesome and can be proud of and this is obvious in the video . A father who is proud of his son, a son who left F1 as a world champion & then making sure you are still engaged by connecting with fans and making great content. Nice one Nico. Memories that'll last forever.
Beautiful! What a wonderful moment having these two champions together. I love the new high tech F1 cars but there nothing more special, more emotional, more visceral than a ground-effects Formula 1 machine.
Imagine how awkward it can be if you crash during a important lap like that with 2 classic cars

😂 good one
I'm here, no worries
Not when it's only them on the track, and the person that put a Halo on either of those cars would be lynched by mobs.

I am happy Nico is enjoying his retirement. Lewis may be flawless, but the fighting spirit and persistence that Nico brought to the sport in recent history, thats un matched.
