Wow. We cracked a 100 subscriber’s. I’m feeling the Gullwing love. Stay tuned everyone. We’re going back to the garage and have an update on parts, Tools and disassembly. Let’s Go!
We will get into the build as time comes. I’m hopping to get back to the shop and start the on the dismantling process in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned, once we start, we will move quick.
Roll Call: where’s everyone from? We will cover the simple to the complicated tasks as everyone’s experience level and expertise are different, no question is to simple.
I've driven a Mercedes from that generation that you're using for the donor car and they do drive very well. Not the sportiest car in the world in stock configuration, but more than enough for a GT car, and I'm sure someone makes a premium set of shocks and springs for that chassis, so it can be made to handle even better.
@@SoCalGullwing in the UK if you can't retain certain parts of the original car, you have to have a license plate beginning with a Q. This basically says it is a kit car.
It’s tough as the fitment doesn’t come into play till you’re committed and mounted the shell. You will not know how good your shell is unless you have seen first hand a finished product from the shop that Layed the glass. You will have to take a few steps back to make progress every now and then. Specially on Your first build. I guess that’s part of the fun as well, to be able to problem solve.

They’re planets good for this build. I think the power is over 100 usable horsepower from the the original 1955 gulping. Will not disappoint.
I been looking for the body.. i understand why you wont give up your source. But if you could point me in the right general direction id appreciate it
in time.
@@SoCalGullwingplease dont gatekeep it, we wanna know where we find that body, everything ive seen so far is basically clickbait or bad replica bodies
Hi. I subscribed to your channel. Wish you good luck. You are making of my dream. Where did you find a body of 300sl?
Will the project have to go on a Q plate?
What’s a Q plate?

@@PeteB2583 makes sense. It’s will require a special construction SB100 certification in California. “Kit car”
@@SoCalGullwing OK thanks
I have been watching a guy doing this build in the Uk just campers and the body has been terrible 😳🙈

Please talk less and do more work.
