Britney Spears Fantasy was reformulated! I wore it through middle school and early high school (2006-2009) and it was so gourmand and richly sweet. I recently sniffed a new bottle and was shocked and how it smelled like fruity shampoo - something has changed!
I still have my original Brit perfume, it was the teal squat bottle. Reminded me of a Genie's bottle. I still have juice left too. It is a core memory frag from my teen years for sure!
Iris Silver Mist is THE iris. Prada Infusion d’Iris is a nice fresh iris, and Hermes Hiris is a very very clean iris, and both of them are lovely (though of course ISM is in a league of its own).
If this doesn’t end up being one of your most popular videos of all time I will eat my shoe. Loved every minute of it and I hope you do more in this series ❤
this is the video of my dreams i LOVE this format! a celebrity fragrances tier list would be so fun since i feel like theres a celebrity fragrance reemergence
If you haven't, you must try YSL Black Opium Le parfum. It is different than the one you already tried - your one has pink circle, the Le parfume has the black circle. It has 4 different vanillas and I love it.
This was incredibly helpful! I love vanilla fragrances and now have many more to try. Please do more rankings like this! I’d love to see a summer ranking first (since I’m looking for summer frags right now). As well as a gourmand ranking, musk ranking, fruity, floral, autumn, winter, clean scent ranking, etc!

This is such an awesome way to categorize perfume. If you have the time, please do more of these types of reviews. for some reason the visual ranking is more helpful on deciding what I’d like to try.
I tried Induit Tihota because of you and thanks a lot, now I'm obsessed and I have to find the money for it. I get this sharp vanilla vodka note in a lot of vanilla fragrances, even after the drydown. It's not an alcohol smell but it's similar. It drives me nuts and I notice it in most vanilla fragrances these days. I've been a vanilla girlie for a long time so I don't know what has changed but Tihota is an exception! I appreciate the recommendation even if my wallet does not.
If it's that exceptional and that expensive a vanilla, some house out there might be duping it by now. Does anyone here know? I won't be able to help explain the alcohol-ish smell until I can get my own nose onto it. I'm still an apprentice perfumer but it might just be a commonly-used accompanying note, not necessarily the vanilla itself, and I might be able to tag it.
Apricot vanille by sud Pacifique also dries down to that, but starts with a yummy apricot. I wish the apricot lasted longer than a minute. That was the first one I noticed smelled similar.
YEEEEEES 40 min of vanilla perfume speaking is what I'm here for THANK YOU and btw I'm french and the way you said 'crème vanille' was impeccable I thought you were french for a second lol
when she was talking about Dulce by Rosie Jane saying it was like a shell, she's not wrong, but don't be discouraged from buying!. If you are a vanilla lover or just getting into vanilla scents, this is a pure vanilla ice cream scent that you can wear on its own and is perfect for layering because it is not a very complex perfume!!
Haha I feel like most fragrance content creators are vanilla/gourmand people and I’m not one at all. But I still find the videos comforting to my brain. :)
I feel you on the sol de janiero!!! It’s so versatile but so addictive. I didn’t like it at first but now I wear it all the time with other vanillas too lol
I blind bought Infiniment Coty Paris Encore Une Fois because of Josephine from Jus De Rose and I don't regret it. It's like Bianco Latte...but if she was more grown up, elegant, sophisticated, and pulled together. I'm so glad I took the risk and bought it. 😊 Maybe give it a try!!!!!!

I completely agree with you on your take on Silk Santal. It’s a nice scent, but nothing special, and I genuinely feel influencers that hype it as much as they do either got in PR and/or want to stay in the good graces of Kayali. Also, you should try Victorian Vanilla by Costal Carolina. An underrated vanilla gem. 😊
Maybe! I received the Wedding fragrance in PR too:) However I just think people have different taste. It is really nice, however I just don’t see the need to promote something that is unavailable!
I’ve been wanting to try Victorian Vanilla & the peach scent from Coastal Carolina! How do you n find its different than other vanillas? Every (albeit few) review I’ve seen on Victorian Vanilla has been extremely brief and left me with more confusion.
This was so helpful. Can you do the same ranking for rose perfumes? For anyone reading this the nest vanilla fragrance is pretty but strong very nostalgic to me but for me it kinda goes very old lady at a retirement or funeral home to me.
love your content, this was a fun format and very informative! (as a vanilla-curious man). Of these I only own vanilla vibes which I enjoy for its beachiness and cause it's kind of simple can layer well with other stuff if the mood takes you Got to look into that amorre cafe though
Ditto on a rose perfumes video, and please include Victoria Secret Bare Rose, Diptyque Eau Rose (rich red rose for women of substance) and Diptyque L'ombre dans l'Eau (supposedly blackcurrant and berries, but I always pick up frisky green rose fractions in it - freshly magnificent!).
This is a great idea/concept. I could really get into these. Frag head here. I’m always wanting to learn about fragrances, so this is definitely something I would enjoy watching. You could do different categories. Yea. I dig it!!
People never ever ever mention my favourite scent ever when talking about vanilla perfumes - and that is Olympéa by Paco Rabbane!!! to me it just smells like the sultriest, sexiest woman - like a love potion, truly, and it last SO LONG, my clothes will still smell like it after daaaaays. I'm so scared it'll get discontinued, makes me want to hoard it
Love your channel and yessss a vanilla video ♥️ This is by far my favourite note as a concept, but I’ve realized I am extremely picky when it comes to actually liking the perfumes. I want them to be sweet but not nauseating, and I don’t like when there’s too much of something else going on. I recently fell head over heels in love with Tihota, which to me is by faaaaar the best vanilla out there, but the price is so stiff ! Every time I see that dent get bigger I die a little inside haha. In a very similar vibe (though a little cleaner with mimosa), I think you would really like Jovoy’s Fire at Will, but you may have already tested it ! And I’m so sad because I was completely sold on it, but Bianco Latte does not work at all on my skin, for some reason it smells really dusty 😢 I sprayed it on my wrist again just to be sure but nope, I like it but it doesn’t like me back 😂 For a very straightforward, a bit synthetic but really decent vanilla I would also recommend Vanille by Molinard. I spray this before bed and it really soothes me 😊
I have not tried Fire At Will but you make me want to!! Jovoy has some amazing scents; I personally love Remember Me! And agreed that vanilla is a particular scent!
@@perfumerism Try Jovoy Musc Pallas when you get around to making your next musks video. I heard rabid hype but haven't got hold of a bottle myself yet. I don't know about Fire At Will yet, will try to sample it at least.
atelier cologne vanille insensee has been my favorite for so long but i cant find it anywhere so this vid was rly helpful in helping me pick a few different ones to try 💜
so funny to me that you mentioned amore cafe after MFK gentle fluidity bc when I smelled gentle fluidity irl it kind of reminded me of amore cafe! which was so great for me since MFK is soooo pricey and I already have amore caffe! im obsessed with mancera right now ahhh
You should try the EDP version of Hypnotic poison if haven't tried it yet. It has a lot of different notes to it so I wonder what you'll think of it now. For me, I LOVE IT! I found it in my mom's collection and she told me she never uses it (she isn't into gourmands, she mostly wears fresh citrusy florals or men's perfume) and I grabbed it from her hand like my life depended on it because I just can't stop smelling it. It smells so good! It's femine, intoxicating, a little sweet but powdery and spicy. Not to mention the projection and longevity is just insane. Nobody actually told me this but I swear I had a cloud of perfume surrounding me by the numbers of heads I have turned in public. At the end of the day I sprayed once on my wrists yesterday and after +24h I still get the vanilla and powdery white floral notes from it when I put my face next to my wrist (I hadn't even put a body lotion on before spraying so that's still very impressive imo) Please, you need to try it! Note: most people got a lot of licorice from it but I have never actually smelled licorice before (we are not a big fan of it over here in my country) so I only assume it's the soft spicy scent I got for the first 30min-1h or so. Thought I'd mention it
GIRL im gonna need this kind of list for warm fruity florals. I smelled bare rose from Victoria secrets and i need it! I wonder what your thoughts on it are! ❤

Nobile 1942 - Levante and Godet - Divinité are 2 of my favorite niche summer vanilla fragrances. The Nobile one has a airy salty feel to it, and the Godet one is heavier and classier🤤🥰
i’d love to hear your recommendations for fruity peach and/or apple perfumes!! i really love fruity/gourmand/candy smells, but i feel like every peach/apple perfume i’ve blind bought has disappointed me and not smelt like fruit (or even sweet) at all. they all lean way too floral/musky/etc. and totally hide the fruitiness.
OMG! I LOVE THIS VIDEO. Your top 2 tiers are mine too!! Thoughts on Escapade Gourmande? I guess I will have to get the cirque de soleil now lol you sold me
The Michael Malul one bums me out. I blind-bought the Rose + Honey and it's a bangerrrrrr ❣ I also would have assumed the Vanilla + Creme would be absolutely amazing. Sigh
i have been wanting to be a vanilla girl for the longest but i never know where to start, thank you so much for this 🤍 i adore the way you break down each perfume!!
Lol kayali sugared patchouli is one of my favourite perfumes. It’s smells 100 times better if you let it macerate though. When I first got it all I could smell was the rum like strong roll your own tobacco kind of rum smell lol but as time goes on and you let the bottle sit the vanilla comes out more and it starts to smell amazing. One of my favourites from kayali but I can see why people don’t like it, it’s definitely not for everyone.
Your ‘speak to your soul’ list are my favourite scents except- I’d swap Bianco latte for Dulce (I did not like on first snif but now I adore) as BL gives me a bit of a headache now! Loved this video Emma thanks for taking the time given me many to try!
I heard some negative rewievs about paris corner caramel cascade but I do really like it. I am just worried that other people think I stink😂 very good video, thank you ❤
I tried Bianco Latte recently because my boyfriend really likes vanilla scents, but the only thing you can smell on me is the honey note. Im trying to find something where the vanilla will stick out.
Hi Emma! I have two recommendations for you: Angelique Noir by Guerlain - only very slightly green/balsamic/herby from the Angelique in the opening, but mainly Guerlain's incredible, deep, warm, photorealistic vanilla pod flavour. The other one is Suki Essence by Weil - I normally don't like any combination of Vanilla/Gourmand with fresh/citrus scents, but the bergamot in this one is very discreet, and the vanilla is at the same time light, airy but also has a strong sillage and lasts until at least the next day. Would LOOOVE to know your thoughts on this! I'm learning so much from you. 🌺🌺🌺
I have watched a couple of your videos but I subscribed to you just now mainly because you said black opium gave you a headache and you didn't hype it up like other people have. I have smelled it in-store a bunch of different times and its other versions as well but i seriously never got the delicious notes everyone keeps raving about. i was starting to wonder if my nose isn't "nosing" anymore 😥because it always smelled bitter and unpleasant to me. Anyway, based on this alone, i think if you recommend/ compliment a perfume in the future i might like it as well ❣.
I love this video! It would be amazing if you'd make sandalwood perfumes. On the vanilla theme - my favorite is Mercedes Benz Club Black. Marketed for men, but universally awesome.
The vanilla orchid vs poets of Berlin thing is interesting to me. I sprayed one on each wrist and vanilla orchid definitely reads more fruity to me on opening and poets seems to dry down warmer and sweeter, making me prefer poets. Now I am wondering if I imagined that 😂
Was scrolling to see if anyone had throughts on these specifically. I agree in that I also prefer Poets between the two and don't find them similar, though I need to run and try a side by side test. I'm wearing Orchid today and while it's okay, I'm very heavily considering a full bottle of Poets cause I love it so much!
@@rachellynnbeauty5231 Glad it isn't just me! They definitely smell similar to me but somehow different too. It would be interesting to know the actual perfumers thoughts around the two. I wonder if there was something he didn't like about the vanilla orchid profile and poets was meant to be a better version. Definitely do a side by side.
I loved the scent of bianco latte, but I didn’t love how it smelled on me. It reminded me of a very plastic-y toffee I used to eat as a kid. Nostalgic, but not really in a good way… it just bought a tester of Lira a few days ago, I can’t wait to test it. My own favorite vanilla perfume is A poem a day from &other stories, it’s cheap and I really love the smell. It starts a bit woody and (on me) it dries down like fresh Belgian waffles with powdered sugar.
I blind bought this is her! & I hated it sooooo much, it was way too strong for me, I could smell it on my clothes after I washed them. Definitely learnt my lesson not to blind buy fragrances 😅
I totally thought Vanilla Milk smelled like eggnog 😭.. I so wish Burberry Goddess worked on me; something very warm urine like.. and I just can’t like it 😂 Great video! 🎉 Thanks!
YSL- Babycat is my personal fav. I would also recommend Vanextasy - Maison Tahite (a delicious milky caramel vanilla) and Addict - Dior (a sexy smoky vanilla, but I don't support that brand anymore). I would also say Nebras, but it smells like berries to me.
Just found your channel. Really enjoying it! And thanks for the heads-up about Wild Vanilla Orchid. Don’t have Poets of Berlin cash so this is great!!!

i have been wanting to be a vanilla girl for the longest but i never know where to start, thank you so much for this 🤍 i adore the way you break down each perfume!!
Aww thank you!! I hope you find something good here!
Thank you for the comment! I need to give Dulce a second shot!
I love this format for you
Thank you!!! I was literally editing for 2 days straight LOL I’m so glad it was worth it!!💗
I heard some negative rewievs about paris corner caramel cascade but I do really like it. I am just worried that other people think I stink😂 very good video, thank you ❤
Loved the video!
Any recommendations for a mainly smoky perfume with hints of vanilla?
Love your rankings. Very descriptive. I agree with your analogy of Dulce by Rosie Jane. I like that perfume but it disappears very quickly.
I totally agree! Would love if Dulce had some more body and longevity.
vanille leather by bdk is genuinely the only scent i've ever re-bought! totally give it a try!
Loved this ranking video! Please do more 😍
I tried Bianco Latte recently because my boyfriend really likes vanilla scents, but the only thing you can smell on me is the honey note. Im trying to find something where the vanilla will stick out.
Ooooo! New ranking lists you should do:
Tea
Coconut/tropical
Summer gourmand
Office/ tight space inoffensive
Pls do a video ranking gourmands!! Would love to know your top tier list of gourmands :3!
Soon!
I’m getting married this fall and I would love to hear like fairytale, fairy flower princess, bridal perfume recommendations ❤❤🙏🙏
Delina or Valaya for sure!
I wore Dama Bianca for my wedding. Your wedding might have already passed by now since it is fall!
A summer tier list would be nice. Maybe even a summer gourmand tier list?
This video was excellent - chalk full of information. Thanks!
As a guy , I can agree that perfume de Marley makes the best vanilla I also really enjoy Montale sweet vanilla
Anything I have bought from. FLORAL STREET has been a banger for sure
I have never seen your channel before, so I'm so happy to catch your channel . I have my own fragrance channel.. Great Video
Would love rose series like this. E.g. mk a la rose, mancera rose velvet etc
I blind bought this is her! & I hated it sooooo much, it was way too strong for me, I could smell it on my clothes after I washed them. Definitely learnt my lesson not to blind buy fragrances 😅
I had the same experience 😅😅
Gentle Fluidity Gold and Mon Guerlain would be in my BANGER category.
I totally thought Vanilla Milk smelled like eggnog 😭.. I so wish Burberry Goddess worked on me; something very warm urine like..
and I just can’t like it 😂
Great video!
Great choices! Nebras is in this video, it’s a good pick. I get the berries too!
So sad that Mon Guerlain has bad memories associated with it for you. It is my comfort scent! I only dab a little bit on because it is strong.
It is such a beautiful perfume and it performs so well! Great choice for a comfort scent!
Bring all sorts of videos like this!!!
Just found your channel. Really enjoying it! And thanks for the heads-up about Wild Vanilla Orchid. Don’t have Poets of Berlin cash so this is great!!!
