I love when you’re literally teaching us and giving us background info as you’re explaining your thought process. I do this all the time and nobody gets it. 😂
ngl I had a little laugh at the cut to the black screen and "it got stolen" 😭 I'm not a fan of Vanilla 28 or La Belle whatsoever, but the way the new Kayali triggered my nostalgia for bubblegum and such almost makes me want to get a travel size just to have that scent on standby. Pure Dubble Bubble/gumballs and sugar from the mouillette at Sephora, at least to my nose
I know what you mean by fragrances that have staying power...that permeate the air. My friend would wear an amber oil and it turned almost to a warm sugar cookies on the skin. She smelt divine. I could tell when she had came over because the house would smell like her and far after she had gone too.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I have sold every one of my Kayali fragrances on mecari because they all made me SNEEZE! My vanilla 28 had macerated for years (I bought it when it first came out) so my juice was the original dark brown color from the vanilla. It smelled beautiful but man did it make me sneeze. I sold my pistachio Yum as well because it made me sneeze bad. I sold my Lovefest burning cherry as well, I just grew old if it. I’m getting rid of all of my cherry fragrances besides black opium over red and the 7 virtues cherry ambition. I’m getting rid of my Tom ford cherry smoke as well. I’m just over the cherry note lol. I just bought a 1oz of the teo cabenal ohh la la (I love iris and orris) so I can’t wait to receive it! I’m also not a fan of the beachy sunscreen scents with coconut and pineapple 😩 the closest beachy fragrance I own that I love is PDM Safanad. The ylang ylang gives it that kinda beachy smell but no coconut so I love it lol
I love the way you include the fragrance notes! Aqua Media (or the way you describe it,) reminds me of Mitchell and Peach's English leaf! I love brilliantly clean scents
I love hearing your takes because it feels like all of the "sophisticated" perfume girlies on UA-cam are into like white florals and aquatics, and those types of scents don't really do it for me. So it's nice to hear someone who has that sophisticated palette but doesn't look down on Gourmand scents!
Oh yes!! I'd love to do this right now-- I've got a list ready to go. However I've done the maths and even if I can find a couple of bottles on my list at discounted prices I still know that I'd rather buy a return business class ticket to Tokyo from London rather than buy a drawer full of fragrances which I know will always disappoint me due to performance issues. I can't smell what I'm wearing after an hour or so unless I crush my nostrils right up against my skin and snort (or unless I overspray a headache inducing amount to start with and make sure to get it on my clothing too-- not an ideal option). My husband can't smell anything, people in my social life can't smell it. I think it just must be my skin chemistry in combination with modern perfumery having changed enormously since I was a teen/in my 20s. I love fragrances and own many but I'm sick of this great disappointment-- especially as I'm like you in that I enjoy expensive niche perfumery rather than Etsy jobs, Arabian knock offs and designer cheapies. I really enjoy living vicariously and hearing other knowledgeable people who know their own tastes just go for it! This video was really fun, thanks for uploading. Have a thumbs up too.👍
You're the only perfume creator that I share notes taste. So now when I watch your content I think "well if Emma like it, I'm sure I will like it" so thanks! Cause now I have recommendations I really believe ❤
Scentbird has Indigo Smoke. I’m on my second 8ml decant. I love it. It’s not an everyday, but it reach for it often enough and sometimes it’s just perfect. Because I have it in the travel size it’s often in my bag and I’ll just spritz a little here or there. To me it is a fruity black tea.
Tbh I’m spamming at this point but the only scent I can guarantee that doesn’t cause headaches is Gaiac 10 by le labo. It smells like bukhoor (arabian incense) but in water form. It’s insane.
My number one most hated was Clinique Happy. Years ago, I used to think it smelled like old oranges, black pepper, and BO. I recently smelled it again and it wasn’t so bad 😆
omg where to start ... I have a bit of a backlog watching your videos, but the title of this alone is *chefs kiss*, it's exactly the head over heels, going all in - enthusiasm I love in your content. Carner: I just received my first Carner decant, and it's "Drakon" - and I love it. Dark, resiny, smoky incense. Tihota: this is going on my shopping list (for a decant, it's quite expensive - 180 € for 50 ml). Indigo Smoke: this one took time. It grew on me. Initially there was just too much going on for my nose / brain to comprehend. But then I read that it's supposed to be an Apricot-y scent, and then it somehow clicked. Awesome video! You should do this again ... like ... quarterly?
i cant express how fun this was to watch❤❤ Im so glad you tried Carner Barcelona! Ive loved and talked about Super Moon and Marbella for a year or two, so glad youve tried more from the brand! Marbella also lowkey reminds me of Bombshell by Victoria's Secret 😂😂
No one talks about RimaXI from Carner Barcelona. I love it soooo much, especially fall season. To me it smells like a basmati rice pudding . I love it .
I'm an Amouage fanatic and I too don't like Sunshine very much. I think I also really don't like the tobacco in it. Imitation Woman is my favorite fruity fresh scent from them but I think it's being discontinued 😭. It's aldehydes, blackcurrant, and licorice with an incense base and it's weird and wonderful. My current wishlist only has two items at the moment: MFK Amyris Femme and Creed Queen of Silk. I didn't expect to love either of them but both of them surprised me.
@@perfumerism About twelve days. I’ve used most of the travel spray already. The 50ml bottle is slower to transform. The travel spray began as a watery floral…then it became candied pear…then it sweetened…then the bubblegum appeared, then the jellybeans, framed by jasmine. I know vanilla is in the perfume obviously but for whatever reason the vanilla is not distinct as it is in vanilla 28. I don’t really get the caramel. But maybe it’ll come in time. Half of the compliments I’ve received have said it is floral and the other half have said it is “sweet” or “candy-like”. I really like it now!
Emma this is a random question but - have you ever tried the curly girl method for your hair? I have very similar hair to yours (some waves) and started the curly girl method 4 weeks ago. Turns out, I have wavy/curly hair! Maybe you do too?!
I feel the exact same way about the new kayali. It’s not bad it’s just not that great. The worst part though, is it doesn’t last for me 🤷♀️it turned into a very subtle skin scent
Ok. So maybe you can answer this question for me based off your conversation; Nette Pear Jam literally smells so astringent and I pick up a very prominent mildew / musty library accord and am wondering why? Is it the akigalawood or black currant? Just so curious because I absolutely adore Thé Vanille by them for example. Hurt my heart to hate Pear Jam 😢! Definitely interested in Delina La Rosee now! Love a fresh pear.. not a mildewed one lol! Ps: so amazing I’m watching this while wearing Sunshine Woman.. although when I wear it I pair it with Crystal Noir and a spritz of Liz Claiborne Mambo to freshen it up a little. 💛
Loved the concept of this video! Plenty of reviewers cover Carner Barcelona fragrances-these are all older releases now. Super Moon is newer-it wasn’t a love for me & it didn’t match the description reviws provided. Marbella is nice but kinda designer like. I love Indigo Smoke bought a full bottle.
I came upon your channel awhile ago while I was looking for milky scents to pair with matcha meditation, I went with bianco latte and it didn’t disappoint. Anyway, I would love to get your recommendations on something similar to a discontinued perfume, it’s called Deal by Familia Familia I bought it in Florence in 2018 but when I came back last summer to Florence I was told the brand ended due to covid. PS: I’m a guy so if you have a recommendation preferably on the masculine side, I’m ok with slightly feminine but not too feminine.
😂 I thought the site was called E-ticket not pronounced Etiquette. I thought it was weird but Etiquette makes so much more sense! Loved the video and your descriptions.
I feel like niche perfumes r so polarizing and the ppl that really love them and appreciate them and understand them r the ones that actually made them. I prefer designer fragrances lol
I can’t see the comment of all your discovery sets though I have scrolled realising this isn’t your newest video. Can you do a The Harmonist discovery set?
hi emma, i absolutely love your channel and i was wondering : have you ever tried l'herbae by l'occitane ? it's sooooo good !!! it's smells exactly like grass and sugar, i would love to know what you think about it :)
I would love someone to do a review of the Untamed discovery set. It is an indy perfumer from Canada. She has some quite unique fragrances. My fav is Salish Sea, which is VERY unique! Not a blind buy. Read Fragrantica for notes and reviews.

So glad you got Tihota! It is truly legendary ❤
I am here for all the science behind the perfumes and raw materials. Love this content ❤
Same 🎉 I love and deeply appreciate how she explains it bc that's how my brain works.
If you like rose and tea, it is worth trying Paul Smith Roses. Great value for money.

This video was a tremendous amount of fun!! 🤩
Quick thumbs up and comment just to contribute to this perfume budget
LOLL thank you!!!
I learn so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights!
Amouage female reflection paired with Tom Ford’s Soleil Neige is probably the best scent on any person.
Wild Coast discovery set. I love their perfume!
For the top that's hard to open: rock the top back and forth as you pull gently. Should be much easier to open.
I bought the Fruity Hoops scent!!! It's on the way - i'm ridiculously excited LOL! It was reasonably priced as well!
This video was SO much fun!
Warning! The Tihota bottle is very breakable. So tuck it away somewhere safe.

Hi! I’m looking for a juicy peach perfume with a vanilla or lactonic base. Any recs?
omg you have to try beijol de sol!
Nuit de Cellophane from Serge Lutens or I love Choo original by Jimmy Choo.
Lolitaland
Gossip nights by Gritti is incredible!
Innocence by Poesie is a peach with a nice lactonic coconut-milk base - it’s SOOOO GOOD

emmaaaa the baudrillard bit ahaha I love that
