    What type of syringe do you use for the baby oil.

    • @Tomatoda

      tbh, it's a syringe that came with my printer ink refill, but the refill didn't work, so I was just using it for this. I'm sure if you google blunt tip syringe, you'll find something suitable! It doesn't have to be anything special.

    instead of using uv resin for the edge, can we use the resin used to make it to attach the plastic to the shaker?

    • @minnasouen7460
      @minnasouen7460 Рік тому

      Yes you can 😄 the only downside is that resin cures slower than uv resin. So the wait time will be much longer depending on the resin in brand you have

  • @kokuclouds
    @kokuclouds 3 роки тому +1

    hii!! i was wondering how would you clean the oil if it leaks out to the front onto the sheets ;; do you use acetone to clean it all up too? or would it ruin the uv resin around that is covering the shaker?

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому

      Yes! I use acetone to wipe off the oil leaks too 😂 it’ll probably make your Uv resin matte but that doesn’t matter if you’re going to dome it anyways. U know?

  • @kashology
    @kashology 3 роки тому +1

    why do people use oil? when i first saw a shaker, i thought it was water. would water be bad? attempting to make my first one as of writing this comment btw!! i’ll use your tips and hopefully not make as many mistakes lol

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +1

      Water evaporates eventually even when it’s sealed inside! At least that’s what a lot of ppl have told me from their experience, so I never attempted to use water. And good luck! Hope it works out well and don’t get too frustrated!

    Can I fill with oil before covering? First I thought uv would do something with the oil, but you have to cure after the oil anyway.

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +1

      yeah you definitely can! It's gonna be a lot harder and messier if you cover it after the oil I would imagine. but if you can make it work, definitely go for it! The uv resin is there just to hold the film in place and prevent the oil from seeping before the epoxy resin. but ive even heard someone say they use nail glue instead.
