You’re the first person I’ve heard who talked about the dangers for resin.

Yea because I didn’t know it was dangerous 💀
I love how honest you are, addressing the resin safety and also saying where to get cheaper moulds and beads etc even if it means people will buy less from you, I really respect that you understand and care about your viewers. Also I love your voice, it’s really calm 🥰
Edit: I tried making my first resin shaker charm today and I had so much fun! I had a gold moon with star and moon glitters in it (I used the same AliExpress mould that you have). Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Thank you for addressing resin safety 💜
I plan to do a video dedicated to resin safety soon. I was naive in thinking that because I knew about resin safety and always wore protective gear, that others knew this too.
I never knew resin was harmful,I see others just do it like a normal glue gun that has melted glue

@@SweetArtCrafts can u send me email I have a question for u plz answer me
@@SweetArtCrafts do I have to use a Mask while using resin?
Ya'll I do not know why I was obsessed with using the word "actually" in this video lmao. Please don't mind me. 😭
*minds you*
Also could you try making a gummy resin shaker charm?
That's a good idea!! I'll see if I can make a mold for that :)
actually, you right :)
@@SweetArtCrafts Do you have a website where you sell charms? You are very Creative and you know what you are doing! ♡♡♡
i have quite literally never used resin in my life, any tips for someone like me who wants to try it out? like where to buy, how much to buy, etc
nxdal I would honestly start off small, look at supplies from AliExpress, eBay, Amazon and local craft stores. I would also look into using Art n’ Glow resin as a starter one, there are other brands as well on Amazon you can look into. Just make sure to do your research. Also before starting resin, I would highly recommend you getting protective gear. Epoxy resin can be dangerous and cause rashes and other side effects if you don’t wear the correct gear. I would suggest a full face respiratory vapor mask, nitrile gloves, wearing long sleeves and making sure you are working in a well ventilated area that doesn’t have children around. Also keep in mind this is a very expensive craft/hobby, I didn’t know that until I really started getting into resin but I love it. 😭
Get a beginner kit. Look up resin kits some will come with UV resin, and an uv light. Craft Kitsune, Sophie&Toffee, Amazon, Etsy. Look up UV craft kits in your search bar. Start with the Uv then work your way up to the 2 part. Your local craft store will sell the 2 part, you can get the small one and try that out, if you don't want to do the Uv resin. Beware the Aluminite Amazing clear cast, stinks but is really good resin. I won't buy it again, because of the smell.
There are starter kits in spotlight that tell you the basics
ah thank you sm y'all 💞💞
@@meow65 Just wanted to second the Sophie & Toffee kit suggestion. They have a starter resin box specifically for beginners, but they also sell other kits for making small charms and things. They have tutorials on their social media, and you can find some on UA-cam as well.
I'm probably never gonna do it. But I enjoy watching u do it.

I see girls on instagram all the time not using gloves and I often wonder if that's safe so thanks for explaining how to use resin
It's not
@@thegayestgoth yea obviously the video told them ??
Some craft resins (though sometimes not as strong) are actually non toxic and with no fumes
You're a highly-org , skilled, articulate, safety-conscious craftsperson. Your creations are both beautiful and high-quality. Wishing you much success. You deserve it.
I was thinking the same about her. You are so sweet to actually post this.
Me: I shouldn't resin until the arm rash goes away
Also me after watching this: INSPIRATION IS OVERFLOWING
Haha I feel you!!!
Me! But I gotta make my besties' birthday presents!
I'm so glad you talked about resin safety, I was about to do this in my tiny room with absolutely no protection.
Me too
There are some craft resins you can get that are non toxic and without fumes, though sometimes they are not as strong
I did it once and yeah not again 😂
SAME
You ALWAYS need to wear a respirator and safety glasses and THICK nitrile gloves when working with resin, eco resin too! (Two pairs of gloves seem to be ok too) And do NOT sand it outside!! It will deposit in the soil, become micro plastic and pollute the planet for basically ever 🤦🏼♀️ Sanding outside does not protect you from inhaling it anyway.
I love resin creations. They're like miniature worlds of their own, floating in water.
To be honest.. Ever since I found out resin art was a thing, I kept thinking about wanting to do it. I love how you provide tips like to do it outside and inside a box while drilling. I also love how you provided the safety tips too. It's quite helpful for those who don't know about the dangers or just want to be sure they know what they're doing before getting into resin art. I personally would still love to do it sometime once I have most of the things I need. ((Such as a respiratory mask with a google attachment so it won't get in the eyes nor so you don't breath it in.))
I also never knew you could do shaker charms, so I thought this was quite cute. I really like how they turned out towards the end of the video. ^^
i wish i knew all that stuff before lol, i've had my etsy shop for two years and i've never worn a mask for resin. definitely going to start
Did you get sick?
LIL MEOW MEOW Is Mγ sPIRIT ANIMAL i haven't gotten sick thank god, i've even accidentally ingested resin before. don't think that just because i didn't get sick you won't though, masks are important
I have a question, does it matter if you use heat on the resin?
Please use a mask , I wanna get into resin and yesterday saw a video about a girl who has severely damaged her lungs due to not wearing a mask.
@@kookie_1012 no, its safe to use heat on resin, in fact it can help get rid of bubbles
Soooo fun and cute, I need those strawberry little charms. They're my favorite. These shakers have so many steps I didnt realize that. I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you ❤ p.s. great tip about adding a coat of u.v. resin on the outside of the clear paper. Better to be safe than sorry 👍
i found the strawberry charms at amazon :)
@@dont4get2bleed awesome, thanks so much. I am going to get some 😁👍
@@dont4get2bleed thank you omg..
Naptime Creations I also found a bottle of fruits for about 3 or 4 dollars at Micheals, they’re assorted so I might get a few of those and put them in my creations :)
I'm 4 years late to this party, but these are the CUTEST shakers I've ever seen ♥
The crystal ball is so cute omg!! They're all so aesthetically pleasing. Subscribed!
I'm obsessed with the strawberry Deco pieces in the pocky shaker, it's so cute 😭
I love how safe you are about making these cute shakers♡
I love how you are honest with us

The strawberry one is so cute!! Gosh I knew nothing about resin before but this owned my eyes to the process, thank you so much for the helpful video!!
these look crazy professional; you're so talented! I want to try my hand at resin some day:)
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen in a long time! Thanks !
I love these charms!! Safety is essential. I appreciate your covering this, as well! Your shakers turned out beautifully!
Such a great tutorial!!! Glad to see the safety precautions! It's such a fun art, but definitely requires safety measures!!!
I'm really thankful to have found this tutorial!!! Shakers are so difficult for me, so I'm going to try your tips!!!
I really love your tutorials😍 I would love if you could make a video about how to keep your workspace clean while doing resin and after. Usually I have a lot of trouble and my gloves get very sticky and then everything I touch, it could be very helpful for beginners like me ☺️
These are absolutely adorable
THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL
Yassss! Another video! Thank you! I love these! Keep it up please.

Very informative! I'm so happy I found you in my recommendations I can't wait to purchase from your shop 💖
Thank you for sharing the safety issues. I had to literally learn the hard way. I love your shakers.
I would love a Baby Yoda inspired keychain to purchase if you made them. Also the pocky ones are so cool!

Wow i didn't even know resin was that dangerous. I just got some but didn't use it yet. Thank you so much for the safety tip
I loved these charms, they are super cute!
They look so pretty!
omg i never tried this before but it looks so fun!! im totally going to give this a try even though it is kinda expensive, let’s hope i don’t get addicted lol 😝 thank you for the safety warning :)
This came up as a recommended UA-cam got it correct you have a new Subbie💕
Thank you so much for your emphasis on safety and for bringing up previous mishaps you've learned from!! They turned out beautiful
Very nice, these came out beautiful!
Great tutorial and they're so cute!!!
Thank you!!!!
What did you use for the "Milk" and "Pocky" letters before you put the resin in? (:
I'm wondering the same thing!! I searched for this comment and was hoping there was an answer!!
Hey guys! You probably already found this out already, but they used paint for the letters. :) Happy crafting!! 💖
@@rodricksgf307 thank uuuu

Thank you for the tutorial and addressing resin safety. Very creative!!!!
Um oh my god! These are so cute!!!!!! Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Love this video and creations✨💖
Thank you !!!!
Very nice video. Although I feel like you should have shown the process of attaching the jewelry hooks because although it is pretty self explanatory to most, it isn’t to some.
Amazing tutorial, thank you for showing all of the safety precautions that you take!
Listen. I just found your channel and i don’t know how to say i absolutely love you for explaining your process without sounding weird but I LOVE YOU. And i will be following your advice and shouting you out when my shop is up and running
you're so iconic, love your videos!
Thank you!!!
Can you make a tutorial how you do galaxy effect resin ( like in the video ) 😭 It’s so beautiful 😍
Yes! I already planned to do a video about this in the near future. :)
That’s a lot of work. I enjoyed watching it.
This was mesmerizing to watch ❤️
This looks so cool! Sadly I've already got lung problems and I don't really want to risk it
Another super helpful video!! I don't think I've seen many videos really explaining resin safety or anything about cleaning the pieces between initial demold and filling shakers. Is there a trick to using the UV resin on the perimeter to secure the clear film? No matter how I space it every time I have to press the film to make sure its pressed in and all sealed it always manages to leak in to the piece somewhat and something always gets stuck whether its tiny caviar beads or glitter.
I would suggest reducing the amount of UV resin for when you are applying the transparency film and then further securing that area with the second layer of UV resin that you do. That's what I do and I haven't had any things get stuck as yet.
Julie Allen
Stuck?
You mean “magically suspended“ 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing tutorial!! Hands down the best I have watched!🥰
Great video! It was very informative especially regarding the safety behind it. Thanks!
Love your videos! I do still have an unanswered question though, how do you get the resin smell off of the charms/ keychains? I’ve made a few but I don’t want to sell them to people if it has a scent.
Kayla you can wash them. Worked for me, btw the water has to hv fragrant soap
Is there any way you can add a scent to these key chains in the process of making them.
I have tried this before and it did not work out and my resin cured weird and it didn't smell like the scent i put in. I'll try again and see.
I appreciate that you took time in this video to discuss the importance of safety while working with resin. I've watched several resin artists' videos, & you're the first person I've seen discuss safety equipment & precautions. Plus, I think your projects are super cool.
Wow brilliantly done tutorial. Thank you.
Beautiful. This is going to be a new hobby for me. My question is do you use regular acrylic paint in the resin mixture?
Yes !
Diane Briggs mica powders are super cheap and tempting but i would recommend against them, they're mined using very non humane ways
@sweet art crafts I love your molds! Do you take custom orders by chance? I've been looking for someone who can make a Gameboy shaker mold for me!
Nyxie Cloud check Instagram a lot of acc do customs
THIS IS SO PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL!!
Love the finished product
How do you colour in the writing?
Like "milk", "pocky" etc?
Wow! I love your vidios~♡♡
I'm from korea so I'm not sour my English is good ;;

I’m from Korea so I’m not sure of my English is good.
I want to say thank you because you're the first video I've come across where you explain, THOROUGHLY, how to do shaker resins. I have like three molds that were made for shakers but I had NO clue how to use them until I watched your video. Thank you. I really appreciate that.
Love this and I like how you show the process by step and what you need ,love this ..
When you are doming with two part resin, how do you keep it from pulling away from the edges of the piece? That is my #1 problem. 😕
emautumn maybe try to let some run down the sides when you dome the front and the same for the back and see how that works out
As it is called the blue background material and the liquid that is injected to give movement to the figures of the agitator. I am sorry , i use translator . i am from Colombia
KatamyArt the blue background is a domino plate and the liquid is baby oil
You're amazing!!! Loved the video and your inputs are so useful. 💫💫
Thank you for showing cheaper options as well as promoting your site! It makes it more accessible for people with lower budgets and I really appreciate it.
biggest mood is "but i have problems, so don't.' I am the same way I hate waiting, the amount of times I've had a fingerprint in something cos i'm like 'u wet?' 'whoop. u wet.'
I was wondering how you got the word MILK in a different color than your mold
I love your videos and how beautiful and cute your charms are! Keep crafting ❤️
Thank you for sharing how to use resins safely, it's not communicated or emphasized enough. Absolutely loved your creativity in this tutorial!
me: hey dats cool
also me: bruh wtf does resin dissolve your skin or something
no i don’t think so lmao but it can cause allergies if u get it on ur skin for too long / too often :)

This is a whole new level of aesthetic 🌸✨
really love the keychains!!!
That kind of mask is too expensive for me... Im literally starting in the "resin world".
So I have a question, can I use normal mask? Like the ones we are using in this Covid time?
Honestly, I don’t see a problem with using a normal mask. As long as you work in a well ventilated area with gloves you should be fine. I have worked in a not so well ventilated area (no windows) and with no gloves nor mask. Don’t do what I did 😅 but next time I’ll be wearing gloves and a mask. You can also read the instructions of the resin you have and it should say what kind of protection you should use when working with it.
No no no it will NOT filter any of the fumes.. you need something that has filters in it. Amazon has cheaper options. But long term your health is worth the money
You know she’s prepared for COVID-19 😷
Which means this is the worst time to get into this hobby 😭 who knows how long ill have to wait for gloves and a respirator mask
You just gave me so much Christmas gift inspiration! Thank you for making this!
i love this video sooooooooooo much. the stuff you made is so beautiful!!!!!! thanks for sharing how to make these adorable things
2020... no gloves, no masks, no baby wipes 😞😞😞
Me too.....when I dream up a epoxy project I forget about how messy and sticky and gooey my entire workspace gets until it's too late last project I fell asleep in the middle of and I had to cut all bangs off due to the hardened mess my hair had become.....its no wonder I woke up not knowing my middle name nor recognizing where I was. Brain damaged i am.
I already know how to make them but I couldn’t resist they just looked so cute on the photo!!!!
Also love how you did the safety I really appreciate it
You make it seem so easy! I cannot wait to try it.
You’re the best I’ve seen so far on YT as far as Resin crafters go 😭 I want to dive into resin and I know I’ll have to start straight from scratch but I can’t wait to get to the point you’ve gotten to! 💖🙏🏾💖
This is so cute and clever 😍 and yeah like other ppl have said, the honesty about resin toxins is super appreciated because most ppl talk like it's 100 percent safe to work with
Thank you for this video! This is so helpful. I've made a shaker but made it more complicated than it should have been. This video helps a lot!
Your work is so cute!! 💖💘💜💓💛
I really loved this video. So relaxing, and pleasing to watch. Your voice is so nice, and I loved how you mentioned the dangers of resin and where to get cheaper molds. New subscriber!
