Nice to see another video of yours .Your not missing much being away from Ireland .I travelled the World myself .Not through necessity but for adventure..Now back in Ireland from Thailand at 70 y .Settling back in was painful but i have no regrets about my life of travel .
Going through this dilemma myself at the moment, we live in London where the cost of living is sky high, wages have been dropping for the entirety of my working life, and housing costs are out of control. My girlfriend is from another country where the cost of living is much cheaper so we will probably move to escape it although it makes me sad that we have to. The only thing that gives me real hope in the UK is the trade union movement!
Thank you for the video. I agree that the world is out there, go and meet it! I always think back to Oct 1999 when I left South Africa and with only 250 pounds to my name. Arrived in London, headed tot Bayswater and I could barely speak English, I didn't even know how to seek employment, no family, nothing. Through sheer determination to survive (and thrive) I managed to go from farm labourer to investment banker in three years. Also naturalized and became British citizen, travelled to most EU countries, met my wife in Saint Petersburg. It was HUGE change for me. I left everything that was familiar and starting from zero, I left the woman of my dreams for the opportunity to see the world. Presently, I am starting my own business (aged 51) from scratch, from zero. The future will be better! Minsk is on my list, especially since one of your earlier videos about two years ago when you showed the cleanliness. One of the (many) reasons to leave EU is "Go where you are treated best" (Andrew Henderson - The Nomad Capitalist on UA-cam). Low/no taxes, low cost of living, good healthy food, friendly people and gorgeous women! Could that be Belarus?
Wow, '99 London....try that from 2008 and onwards, you would be lucky finding a minimum wage job and sharing a 2 bed flat with 15 people. Different times back then.

Lorenzo and Niall, are not quite accurate. As someone who has lived and worked in both west (USA), central Europe (Austria), and now finds myself in southeastern Europe (Bulgaria) with extensive travel thrown in, in multiple Soviet States over last 2 decades I can say that the "9-5" grind is almost as prevalent in Eastern Europe as it is in the west. Costs of living here and inflation are escalating very quickly, especially for luxury goods. The only exception is for those locals who were fortunate enough to acquire apartments and properties (such as Dachas) during the communist days and pass it off to their family, they are essentially mortgage free, BUT for expats who are considering relocating to EE just remember that buying a nice property (NOT RENTING) in any capital city (especially Minsk) is prohibitively expensive for most and would require either substantial savings already or grinding 9-5 :(

Alexander Lukashenko, the Belarusian president, confirmed on Thursday that the relocation of some tactical nuclear weapons from Russia to Belarus had already started, the Russian state-owned news agency Tass reports. Russia signed a deal with its close ally Belarus earlier on Thursday about the storage of the warheads at a special facility that should be finished in just over a month’s time. It is unclear at this stage how many nuclear weapons would be kept in Belarus. Paschal Donohoe says increase in apartment output justifies tax breaks for REIT funds ontroversial tax breaks for investment funds which run apartments were justified and are the reason so many apartments have been built, Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe has said. Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are companies that earn rental income from commercial or residential property. They were introduced by Fine Gael to help kickstart the then flat construction sector. They are controversial as they are generally exempt from corporation tax (CT) on income from their property rental business only. They are also generally exempt from chargeable gains made on the disposal of assets of their property rental business only.REITs are also exempt from income tax whereas private landlords pay a marginal rate of 51% including USC. Such companies have been attacked by left-wing political parties who have called for their preferential treatment to be ended. The Government has seen fit to agree to REITs paying no income tax while at the same time denying private landlords a tax deduction for standard business expenses such as local property tax. However, Mr Donohoe defended the tax breaks in an interview Mr Donohoe has also defended his party's controversial tax breaks for high net-worth executives in the technology sector. The special assignee relief programme (SARP) provides income tax relief for certain people who are assigned to work in Ireland from abroad and means those who get it pay a very low effective tax rate. Mr Donohoe said the SARP programme “reflects the world that we live in”.Sinn Féin’s Pearse Doherty has signalled a desire to scrap the tax break on equity grounds, saying high net worth people should pay their fair share of tax.

to pay more than 1,000 euros / month, or absurdities like 2,000 - 3,000 euros month, for a simple place to live (1-2 bedroom average apartment in some average or bad districts,) like tens of millions of people do in the west is simply absurd, considering that for 500 - 700 euros / month you find better apartments in countries as good or better than the West. Even in Western coastal mediterranean small towns in places like Portugal, Greece or even Spain, Italy you can find 2 bedroom renovated apartments for 500 - 700 euros / month or little more...with life quality infinitely better than in average or bad districts of big Western cities. Most people would freak out if they check the spectacular big 200+ m2 villas with huge garden + pool, jacuzii, that you can rent for 2,000 euros / month (yearly contract) in many small towns of the Greek, Portuguese or even Italian, Spanish coast...and if you move East (Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, etc) even cheaper. It is even ridiculous to compare life in a 1-2 bedroom apartment in Dublin, or UK, or USA, or Germany, or Sweden... with life in a 200+ m2 house with a huge garden, pool, jacuzii in the mediterranean coast, even in some of the considered most beautiful and best countries to live in the world like Italy, Spain... for the same price around 2,000 euros / month. Slavic countries like Belarus are another great option, specially for single men: very cheap, safe and with a lot of beautiful women.
I had a dream to move in Finland. But this dream didn't come true and now I don't have enough power to do it. But I can't say, that I have regrets. I'm not absolutely but pretty happy. For example I collect the vinyls and read some sci-fi and fantasy. For example I'm waiting for my order - the LOTR Trilogy. I miss it so much. Also, I'm reading Amber Chronicles by Roger Zelazny. That's pretty cool! As for vinyls, I have the Beatles - Let It Be; Bon Jovi - Bon Jovi and New Jersey; Judas Priest - British Steel and Defenders of the Faith etc.
everyone needs are different , you can make 4- 5 k and still not enough , to compare Ireland , Dublin , with belarus , neah , even youu live your dream no way , but its your liberty to choose were and how , good luck
Hello there from an Irishman but now in Canada, originally from Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. It is hard everywhere for kids to make a living. That is why you need to go and find your niche. Ireland has joined the free market and that means higher prices, but this cuts both ways. You can always withdraw your labour until a later time in your life. I've lived in Namibia, South Africa, Ghana, France, Mali, Kazakhstan and now Canada. White Russia is the other name for Byelorussia. Once you learn some Russian you have the roots to most of European languages.
Nothing specifically against belarus, but the idea that it represents a great opportunity for a better life is extremely delusional at best. There's a good reason why few Belarusians are allowed to leave... For the same reason why the Berlin Wall was built (clue:it wasn't to keep the west out of the east)
Oh, of course. Come to the country where no human rights are being respected. And where political prisoners are getting tortured and murdered still to this day. There's nothing WOKE about wanting to live in a dictatorship government. More like closing the eyes on all the issues this country has. Let's hope I don't get arrested for writing this comment.
@@jimsully9851 "the west is where you have real freedoms" like rewriting history and repainting statues? or take a jab or lose your job kind of freedom?
I've evaluated near every country on Earth and the only alternatives for me are Belarus and Russia. However, I don't qualify for a Russian residence permit and I'm not entirely sold on living right next door to the Polish hyenas 🙄
Only problem is that I'm an American, and my glorious president has made relations with Belarus and Russia a total mess. I'd be afraid of being imprisoned or worse if I were to move to Belarus, which is a shame because I know that NATO are really the bad guys in this war.
The bad guys are the bad guys. We need to stop saying this organization is bad or this country is bad. It’s certain people that are bad and they unfortunately often find ways to power. Humans are individuals.

Plenty of other places to go for electricians. Try the Middle East, Australia etc. It's a highly transferable skillset.
@@IrishPartizan The problem with those is one i wouldn't fit in because i'm white and the other are just as woke as here (UK).
Very good words of wisdom Niall, take care.
Would you ever do a video going to Russia?
Maybe.
What kind of work do they need there? What jobs are they in need of?
Answered your question.
I changed the Czech Republic for Australia and I am OK in Down Under.
Czechoslovakia still exit in my heart

Paschal Donohoe says increase in apartment output justifies tax breaks for REIT funds
ontroversial tax breaks for investment funds which run apartments were justified and are the reason so many apartments have been built, Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe has said.
My Granddaughter moved into a new build home nr Sheffield UK Recently its £880.00 a month Rent Thats nuts to me crazy
If you go to Mibsk airport now and your from the UK do immigration keep you in a side room in the aidport for 4hrs and check what pics are on your phone and ask for your life story kike they do now if/whenever you go to Russia?
Maybe they only wanted to tell you to use "." and "," in your posts...
Hi Partizan, sorry, don't know your name, but know you are colleague of mine btw.
Really nice to see you are glad to live here, at least that time. Hope it won't change in a future, at least not to the worst direction regarding live there.
Btw, how often do you visit your family? Does your family visit you?
Have a nice day and all the best!
Niall is his Name ;)

Nice jacket Niall. Where ya get it from comrade ??
Well, Ireland it's going down hill completely! There's no future for young generation anymore soon 😢
I'm based in Dun Laoghaire Co Dublin,I'm the owner of the Sea front restaurant but seriously the issues that this country has at the moment it's insane.
I suggest to all of you to stay away !
Best regards,
Marcel
I was staying at a B&B in Dun Laoghaire for a while as I was working in Bray Co Wicklow. The train ride down every morning was a treat, so was the weather, vegetation, air ... and the people :D. Loved it there, sorry to hear about your recent difficulties.
to pay more than 1,000 euros / month, or absurdities like 2,000 - 3,000 euros month, for a simple place to live (1-2 bedroom average apartment in some average or bad districts,) like tens of millions of people do in the west is simply absurd, considering that for 500 - 700 euros / month you find better apartments in countries as good or better than the West.
Not so easy to move abroad now that we are no longer in the EU. :-(
I had a dream to move in Finland.
I make 53k and my taxes and pension and 401k is around 20 percent and I am doing find making 1600 every 2 weeks. It is doable
Dad's army scit Yugo style? Boy does that band need practice 😃

Belarus is not White Russia. It's White Rus. It's not the same
Thanks mate
Don't lose your irish accent
Nothing specifically against belarus, but the idea that it represents a great opportunity for a better life is extremely delusional at best. There's a good reason why few Belarusians are allowed to leave... For the same reason why the Berlin Wall was built (clue:it wasn't to keep the west out of the east)
"why few Belarusians are allowed to leave" - are we disallowed to leave?..
Why? Freedom, safety, cleanliness, no wokeness and anti white media, what’s not to love
One of the reasons to leave EU is pay less taxes, and "Go where you are treated best" -- Andrew Henderson - The Nomad Capitalist on UA-cam.
The Irish teacher should get married
Then she'd be fine financially
and he would be no longer )
Ireland is #woke central, I wouldn’t miss it if I was you. Irish on the streets new Irish in hotels go figure.
You actually sound like a retard 💀
High rate of tax applies on income over 40,000. It was 36000 last year. Crazy
Holy Cow! It's 13% flat rate here.
@@IrishPartizan MY wife (from Saint Petersburg) told me Russia has flat tax 13%!
Yeah, Ireland is unreal, add PRSI and USC and it's 50%. Not a country for creating wealth
Leaving communist Canada for Thailand September 1, my military pension just not cutting it here anymore.

Just like the January 6 protesters?

You dont comment the war in anyway. Altough its in your neighbor. Are u scared about belarussian coverment?
I thought that u meant leaving belarus with ur headline
Nope. I have commented many times on the war.

Russia annexed Part of Georgia 2008 and crimea 2014 and attacked Ukraine 2022 but ofcourse nato is bad….is this the level of brain of the followers?
you know that NATO are the bad guys? do you know that Russia actually invaded a country and annexed its territory? which world are you living in?
The bad guys are the bad guys. We need to stop saying this organization is bad or this country is bad. It’s certain people that are bad and they unfortunately often find ways to power. Humans are individuals.
@james poitra so get your loser ass on a vodka jet and go fight for your hammer-humping buddy putin then 🤣🤣🤣
humans are not just individuals. that is american point of view. humans are also part of groups, tribes, social circles etc
