They're cute and I understand the appeal, but I am always a little concerned about more products that contribute to plastic waste (not saying you specifically are going to send these to landfill, but the production process of making these products creates a lot of waste for all the pieces that need to be cast and trimmed).
This is a very valid point, thanks for bringing it up! I am also concerned about reducing plastic waste in my life. It’s always a tricky balance when you want to experiment with new mediums. I like that this kit has multiple projects in it so you can at least avoid getting more plastic styluses, trays, etc. personally I plan to display or gift these in frames, or even turn them into stickers to attach to notebooks. I’ll also be using up the extra gems for other projects. In terms of the production, you’re probably right, there is likely lots of waste :( I do know there is lots of innovation in the 3D printing space for more sustainable material alternatives, so hopefully that can expand to products like these.
