Hi Rob, I run a rangrover sport as my wife's mum bus is a fantastic car, but they do have their Dawn fall's cost of repair and parts, and there are a lot of Jobs that require the body to be removed all st thay suffer from oil pressure problems and crank problems and epb models are a problem the list go's on I tell people to budget for 4000 a year for repair and maintenance and if your getting one get that's bin meticulous looked after you did the right thing not getting that I hope you had a good time in France
A big thanks for that Gaz, I did a bit of research on them before we went to look at it, crank snapping at 180K, 8 hours of labor just to lift the body off the chassis. When you buy your first car you do not take into consideration the ongoing maintenance and repairs costs.
For a first car???😳 Is he mad? 😆 not only will he probably smash it up, and maybe (god forbid) hurt himself, but it will be a huge money pit. Big mistake if he buys something like that imo. Also Rob, for goodness sake, wear a helmet on that quad! 😣 Stay safe mate, and enjoy your holiday 👍
Imagine the insurance cost 😅. One of the lads at work had one it ate the turbo which wrecked the engine he had to scrap it. Apparently its a common issue Rob.
You did the right thing Rob walk away from it i had one and it was one thing after another going wrong with it esp in the electrical department nice motor while everything is working properly but reliable they're not

Blimey mate you may as well him the keys to ya cossie 🤪 and let him smash that up ☠️ My wife has a Range Rover Evoque (ok its a company car) and it sure does like to guzzle that petrol mate He can get a decent runabout on his budget get some experience and insurance (No claims).then go for something nice. Also mate il 2nd many other comments to get padded up on a quad bike (as Remember Ozzy Osborne?) Lucky to be alive after coming off.
