Katelyn Ohashi is just unreal. It's too bad she didn't stick around the senior elite circuit for long, she could've had an incredible career... but UCLA is glad to have her!
I'm glad she found her joy again in collegiate gymnastics, she's talked about how utterly miserable she was in elite. She looks so much happier and healthier now. 💓
Wtf was Peng Peng's scores? I was looking forward to seeing those. This broadcast is set up so stupidly..... And why were there montages just of gymnasts falling?
Dang....UCLA royalty....What a great meet to go bk and watch after seeing the top 4 in AA and 3 / 4 of events compete (1 coach) together as grown women and win the NCAA championship together 5 yrs later. So awesome.
Watching this in March 2020 & loving it. Can’t wait for the 2020 Olympics gymnastics, whenever the Olympics may happen. Everyone please stay safe! ⚡️🤸♀️⚡️🇺🇸🏅
I loved Katelyns floor music here, she is such an incredible gymnast and an even better person. So glad she was able to find happiness at UCLA after such a rough time mentally and emotionally in elite
Peng Peng Lee's beam routine was insane. Also It seems that some of Elvira Saadi's beautiful dance rubbed off on Victoria Moors, she has great choreography.
I love how when our USA girls fumble on beam or floor, or an apparatus, the commentators go "oh minor fumble." Or "minor, small wobble." But when a different country does it they go "wow major fumble from her."
Knowing what Katelyn Ohashi was experiencing during that time makes it really sad. Thank goodness she found joy in gymnastics through UCLA. The coaches should have faced disciplinary action for how they treated her- and others. I also feel so bad for Georgia Simpson, it basically ended her Olympic dream.
After hearing the tragedy that the New Zealand team endured, it really does show that they are tough and deserve to be on the spotlight. At 47.00 when I heard the floor music my heart skipped a beat. Perfect song!
+iamkarenh Their gym was destroyed because of an earthquake in their hometown. About 100 or so people died. And instead of giving up they helped repair their gym.

I would have worded it a lot differently than +Lockon Stratos. I think they were just resting them because they knew that they could skip this meet because they could just use Kyla and Jordyn plus get one other senior experience.
When Sixin missed a handstand on bars. she tried to keep swinging, but when she hit the floor, her right wrist looked like an injury because it was twisting as she stopped swinging, and eventually hit the floor, The fact that she was crying as she came back solidified my observation. It could have been that she was crying because she hit the ground and made a huge mistake, it could have been. There is always the possibility about an injury in gymnastics..........
@@saragrant9749ugghhh I hope the best for her in the coming years up to 2028, she has a ydp, and solid bar routine, and I hope she brings a good floor routine because her last few haven’t been my favorite in terms of music, but that’s only my opinion. She has potential on beam too, she’s definitely bringing her standing full
I have never understood why they call it mounting and dismounting the floor, especially the dismount. It cracks me up. I just call it the beginning and end esp since there's no mounting or dismounting actually happening.
Charlotte Sullivan of New Zealand faced a huge deduction as she sort of landed out of bounds on her first pass. She didn't exactly land out of bounds per se, but she stumbled there.
You didn't hear what the judges said happened? She didn't just commentators her ankle, her leg bent out of place and I think there was tissue exposed. That's why her teammates and others were so horrified. There was blood on the floor too which is why I'm shocked they let gymnasts still perform
1:13:08 I literally said WHAT Kara Eaker is here???? Seriously, they could be sisters. I mean, Kara was adopted so maybe they really are family, but WOW they look identical.
+legacynintendo6 she didnt make fun of her she just said that its more difficult for her to put power into her skills because shes more little than for example the american gymnasts
That was one of my all-time favorite floor routines. Loved the music and choreography! Not to mention she had some pretty rock solid tumbling too! You dont see that kind of package much in gymnastics these days! And I dont think anyone would say that she was a great dancer but they just put that routine together so well for her it just worked from start to finish. Well done!
She was a beast in London! Wth?! She led her team to AA Gold. Oh....with a broken bone in her leg.(stress fracture?) u can see the injury as plain as day in the floor final. (Yeah--she made the finals. In the olympics!)
Yep! I was so sad she didnt qualify to the individual AA. It was just unfortunate timing for her. Gabby peaked at the perfect time and also only her and the usa coaches new it but Jordyn was actually competing with an injured during the games. Dont get me wrong she didnt totally blow it or anything she was still great but her teammates happened to be better when it counted most.
that was exactly what i was thinking! I mean in the 2010 worlds in the vault finals they downgraded russian vaults because they were missing a hair to complete the 2 1/2, douglas completely missed the full extra 1/2 twist
No they said she wants to go to rio 2016. She obviously wants to. No gymnast like her is going to train as hard as she does and compete so many times like she does, and not go to Olympics. She wants to go to rio.
Kaitlin Ohashi! She was absolutely miserable and abused like crazy by her coaches in elite. If you watch her here she’s so unhappy, so sad. She left gymnastics for a while then came back and went to UCLA- and became an absolute legend.

+Ed Clench The only time Kyla was even CLOSE to Simone was 2013, and her DTY has better form and is easier for her so why would she risk injury early in the quad. In 2014-15 she was dealing with tons of small injuries and obviously wouldn't do the amanar. Honestly, I think it was smart. But she's retired now, so...
Peng Peng Lee, Kyla Ross, Katelyn Ohashi, Jordyn Wieber, it's like watching a UCLA meet!
Hahaha so true!! 😂
My thoughts exactly!😉
Katelyn Ohashi is just unreal. It's too bad she didn't stick around the senior elite circuit for long, she could've had an incredible career... but UCLA is glad to have her!
I agree but she's miserable here, you can see how unhappy she is around her coach and just performing in this type of competition. It's sad.
Linda Bound agreed and it’s so sad! I thought she had an amazing bar set but at the end she looked so tired ☹️

WAIT WHAT!? Kyla doing an Amanar?!?! Wow she was so high off the table, she has so much potential
Yeah, she had so much potential, but her landing was trippy. And yes, I just invented that word.
Lol
Kevin Morales I love Kyla, she is an elegant gymnast.
Kae Kae Jones She taught me a trick to my backhandspring layout step out.

With peng peng on the team, Canada could have gotten 4th in London
Katelyn Ohashi didn't look so happy competing even then. It showed on how her shoulders slumped after her routines.
Why was Gabby credited for an Amanar when she clearly did a DTY?
Yeah I have no idea. I know she planned to do an amanar, but she only got 2 twists around.
I have a great time
Lana2k6 she was actually credited for a cheng lol
I think she changed it at the last minute.... at least it sounded like that’s what Tim said.....
Lana2k6 she was actually credited with a cheng lmao. She twisted so early that they credited it as a half on 1 1/2 off

How come thy didn't show how the girl got hurt?
there is a video on UA-cam and its awful. you can see both of her legs just BROKEN. :(
JoJo x it was her ankle I believe, that’s what was said here anyway. 😢
I feel bad for Georgia Simpson. She goes back into competition after years of injuries and then gets injured.
Amy Weston not only that, she had to go to the hospital!
Jeez. Surprised Kyla stayed on the podium even after that vault landing!

Katelyn Ohashi wraps up a beautiful landing with a stuck double full double flip.
Peng Peng & Moors 💖
Emily Little is a champ going out there and sticking 3 of her 4 landings!!! Georgia was proud I'm sure!!!!
What broke my heart was that ended Georgia’s chances at making an Olympic team.
They just basically tore Gabby apart after she injured her ankle and performing on beam. It’s painful to tumble on hard piece of wood.
Where's aly and Mackayla?
Katlyns beam was awesome!
please count how many times kyla up her head during floor exercise? huhu
It was 17 😂

I'm so confused why was Gabby given a 6.5 SV when she did a DTY?
The funny thing about Kyla's amanar? It was huge! Kevin Morales is right, it was Huge. But why didn't she do it in London??!
the landing. it was a risk they didn't want to take.
They took 5 to London. Lol all of them did it in trials.
I did a vault landing in a meet that was like Kyla Ross's.
how did georgia simpson get hurt? i heard al say that they had to clean up the floor exercise before australia could go

Aww! When the girl tried to hug Emily Little it took her 3 tries LOL.
I believe it's Requiem for a Dream. One of my teammates had that music a few years ago.
So unfortunate that peng peng Lee broke her ankle during training at the London Olympics she could have made the UB or BB event finals
She tore her ACL during the canadian trials, but she definitely could have made the finals at the olympics
She could have won a medal on beam in particular. I’m just glad she had such an epic career at UCLA.
Emily Little looked thrilled to just get through that bars routine
Katelyn Ohashi is amazing, I think she will be a good competitor for the seniors when she becomes a senior
