I honestly don't get why Valeri never changed Rebecca's dismount to an easier one like a double pike. Yes it would lower the start value. But she almost never stuck it to her feet. She always sat it down.

I love rewatching these and knowing that Martha is gone forever from US gymnasts! Every time I see her face I get so sad knowing all the horrible things she's done.
I’ve binge watched all these various gymnastics videos covering many, many meets, and I’ve never seen Bross land that beam dismount, I know it is her choice to continue trying it, not her coach’s, so I just do not understand why she continued with it and never changed it. It’s senseless.

She definitely didn't stick it, but she didn't fall and it was the best landing she had for that dismount. I wish she would have changed it honestly. She already suffered from injuries and doing that dismount did NOT help them. If she still wanted to do a hard dismount, she could have opted for a triple twist or even tried the full-in. Anything but the patterson
why would nastia think she had time to make the olympic team 2 months before the games in london? i mean she is awesome on bars and can really score well above 16.000 points so that could really help the team score
The domestic ones were: 2012 Secret Classics, 2012 Visa Championships, 2012 Olympic Trials but there were many international events before like Jesolo and WOGA Classic

For those who trying to qualify for Nationals, they need to reach a minimum score. Those who competed in an international assignment the previous season are already qualified (so, here, Wieber didn't need to do all-around). So its not a minimum or maximum numbers of gymnasts; its who fulfills the qualification

I think she landed it at the 2010 Nationals. She won that year so I don’t think she had a fall. I can’t remember for sure though!
