How powerful is it compared to, say, the Gonad of the Universe?

@@maxstrike3022 Thanos is the only male character in all of Marvel that could manage to come down with a yeast infection.
@captainjay-gf6ws I was making a pissed= kidney stone joke, but apparently it fell flatter than Brie Larson's pancake.
I enjoyed the introduction of the new infinity stone, but of course Thanos would go and seek it out immediately. I want to see how the new stone's role in Marvel's cosmology is expanded upon.

If Thanos actively avoids dealing with Odin, I would imagine that Bor would lay him out pretty emphatically.
Well, we don't know how powerful Thanos is NOW. He's gone through a lot of power change since his last non-infinity gauntlet or cosmic artifact empowered encounter with Odin. He's lost his power and then become more powerful by going through some sort of God making process and defeated his son while doing so who was powered up to be a cosmic level being. It's possible he is now at an Odin or Bor level at this point.
@@rustybrooks8916 Not to mention Jason Aaron has done nothing but driving Odin's power (and character) into the dirt over the last few years. That pretty much goes for all celestial beings, which used to be so far above regular heroes it wasn't even close. Now, fighting a celestial, the phoenix force, beyonders or Galactus is just a fight. A hard one, but winnable.
From what I remember, we've had very limited showings of Bor. He fought Thor with Thor/Odin Force. Thor won, but said he would have been dead if not for the Odin force. Odin slapped Thanos around quite a lot. While Thanos didn't go down for the count, it was pretty onesided. So if we assume classic Bor is at least around the same power as Odin or Odin force Thor, then classic Bor should probably have won vs Thanos - but I'm not so sure if they still scale him like that.
@@ScrubNigel It has been revealed in many comics that Thanos has increased his own strength, intelligence, and durability over time. Thanos will now easily defeat Bor
@@worldbreaker97 😮💨 easily? What was the power gap previously? This is comics. Saying anything like that isn't saying much at all.
No Odin force
This is awesome. Imagine if at the end of the Multiversal Saga with Kang and all of that in the MCU, that when Kang is defeated, he will pull something like this in the comics being like, "I will show you all your deaths." Or their future and things like that, and then it shows Thanos coming back looking like this, with Thor's hammer, with infinity stones and the zombie dead and all of that. I'm saying imagine that, I'm not saying that it will actually happen.
Bor without a doubt. Remember he nearly killed Thor when he first got the Odinforce, so as capable as Thanos is, he has issues Odin, just imagine him facing Bor at Bor's full power
Bor literally has more raw power than his descendants I don’t how rob thinks this is a question. Odin himself took on thanos and SS simultaneously Bor would be overkill if he goes all out on hill

It's pretty cool to know that Rob is, not only an expert in DC/Marvel Comics, but in the gigantic Star Wars Legends lore also. Great job, man! 👍
The light and dark side of the force is not good an evil it's just nature. And we would be better off with out anyone weilding the force
Which is why Rob needs to cover some of the dark horse star wars comics.
@@Liber-Abraxas I mean, Exar Kun was super powerful, but some would say that maybe Darth Bane, Darth Zannah, Darth Nihilis, Revan, Malok, Darth Malgus and a host of others were super strong.
He’s kinda wrong about the Star Wars bit. The whole “ancient force users were stronger” was made in the KotoR games, and specific to that point in time. Canonically Palpatine is referred to as the strongest sith in history.
@@ZealStarMedia Legends is not completely out the window. As have been said in some Rebels shows _"There are some truths in Legends..."_ That they have not made it to the big screen is a completely different story.
Curve ball for you, what if they decided to remake nemesis and this is simply her consciousness as the 7th infinity stone. She could have the power to instantly know where the other stones are and be driven to take them back to gain her true power again.
Have to step in Rob, my star wars nerd just get triggered.
Palpatine was the most powerful force user to have existed since Marka Ragnos. He may even be more powerful than him.
Anakin though, yah, Exar Kun would beat him as soon as their sabers met.
But Exar Kun! We need you covering his dark horse comic, Rob! Let me tell you about Exar Kun! He's a dark jedi thats got the coolest lightsaber in the franchise! Love me some Exar Kun! He popped a star with his mind! He was on Yavin 4 inside of a statue in the rebel temple, and screwed around with Luke when he setup his academy! Love Exar Kun!
@Hollow Vegeta⁸ Exar Kun! I love Exar Kun with 1/10th of the energy that Rob has for Captain Carrot.
@Hollow Vegeta⁸ Nah, we good.
What if this child is Galactus's daughter "Galacta" being brought into canon. Looking at the hair of the child it looks purple which could be an Easter egg pointing to this fact
like Franklin Richards fertilize Galactus? and they have a daughter?
@@Orthuzz nah in a non canon story I think Galactus reproduced A sexually
Even as a result of smoking crack i doubt it.
Marvel is definitely never gonna ever touch the concept or anything related to galacta ever again considering how hard that comic bombed and how much it actually damaged Marvel's image at the time.
The purple coloration is likely a lighting/shadows choice.
You can't say "well its an evil version of Galactus" as that doesn't really make sense. If anything the child is probably just the a lesser mortal version of Franklin, (pre power reduction) since marvel recently did away with Franklin and how op he is, at the end of time he will be Galactuses equal again, but for the forseeable future hes not strong enough to spitshine galactus's shoes. (even though Galactus is the monthly punching bag now)
I misread that as Galaga because hangry
Bor 💯
So, Thanos is most likely gonna raise the child, Death as his own. 🤔 should make for some fun cosmic shenanigans 😆
And I’m realizing Thanos has this thing for “family”. He was shunned by his family and innately wants his legacy to continue. Gamora, Nebula, Thane, the Black Order, wanting to rule over the Eternals, the Inhumans….a tumultuous affair with Mistress Death. He wants power and loves death….but he really wants a family to carry on his legacy 🧐
So he's just heartbroken that the girl he lustes over doesnt like him back like most simps are?
I bet he doesnt even know deaths favourite color
@@youtubestudiosucks978 maybe burnt sienna? 🤔😂
Its not that he wants a Legacy, the dude just wants someone on his level of awareness and vision, but also wants friends and family he is character that destroyed his own family because of he felt different as a Deviant, and misunderstood and on an existential crisis. Its why Adam Warlock is a person he respects, because that character also had no family and had to deal with a similar journey. The obsession with Death is merely a metaphysical conclusion of his nihilistic tendencies. The funny thing is in the buildup to Infinity Gauntlet he is already Dead, he has his fantasy, Death is the one that instructs him to kill half the universe, but Thanos being himself sees the gems as a means to fulfill the void in his life, he thinks power brings happiness and love which is what he really craves. This has been hinted at since his inception. He is an intelligent nihilist trying to deny that he wants what everyone else has.

Rob should cover some Star Wars Dark horse comics. Some of the best comic content produced. But people have been requesting it of him for years now. He just won't do them.
@Hunter He has mentioned somewhere that he does other stuff instead of this to make money. Second and more importantly if Rob would cover something Star Wars on the channel from Dark Horse like KOTOR comics, or Star Wars Republic he would make a lot of views same with the Dark Horse Darth Maul or Vader comics.
He just will not do them. Like I said people have been requesting him to do it for years literally years now.
And it isn't just Star Wars comics he only covers Marvel/DC comics despite being called Comics Explained. There is more to comics than DC/Marvel.
If Bor has the same level of strength as Odin did then definitely Bor. Thanos fought Odin before and it did not go well for him. He wanted the smoke but couldn't take the fire.
Odin should be stronger
The OdinForce is Stronger then the BorForce (the same way the ThorForce is stronger then The OdinForce)
The AsgardForce becomes stronger each Generation is passed down too
Also Odin should have his Brothers Strength too (I remember there was this story where Odin had 2 Brothers and they gave their Powers to Odin)
Ever since thanos encounter he was pretty much nearly even to odin even when he held back and odin was bloodlusted. Since then thanos has a massive power amp overtime, Now able to beat zauras so easily who is comparable and same power level to zeus. Showing thanos may have now passed odin and bor
Maybe this stone could be the living embodiment of the Phoenix Force and in the future they discover that certain people have in essence a "fragment" of the stone in their soul and those are the ones who can fully utilize and tap into the Phoenix Force 100%
Logistically, it wouldn't make sense for it to be a representation of death.
Because nothing would have died before it came into existence.
And thanos was already killing a ton of stuff before the ritual just to survive until that "stone's creation"
Without any doubt Bor would win
My money is on Borr especially if the Borr force is better than Odin force
Am I the only one that thinks that almost ALL of the Marvel comics Rob has been covering lately have been weird AF? 😕 I haven’t been able to jive with them at all.
If they were to only ever fight once and neither held back, I'd say Bor. If you give Thanos a second shot at you....ever....and he doesn't hold back: Thanos.
Well we know Death the cosmic entity came into being when the universe did. But we never knew why it likes to take a female form or call itself Mistress Death. Maybe this story is going to explain that Death gained a female vessel/Incarnation and that's when the mistress death persona emerged.
Either that or it is Hela and somewhere along the way she dies; and in the future Loki somehow reconstituted her, as a form of Reincarnation of sorts, when he first created Leah/Hela.
That or maybe Marvel is bringing back Nemesis but giving her new origin to fit the current continuity.
Or maybe they're just pulling a black winter, and giving us yet another new cosmic force that we just didn't know about apparently, for reasons.
Death can be whatever it wants to be. I Believe Mistress death/Hela take on female forms primarily because being female allows them to be more 'alluring' to the souls of the dead, or in the case of Mistress death. Makes manipulating people significantly easier.
They can take on male forms if they so choose, but they get more work done with less resistance in female forms. Also comic logic. Hot females sell better.
Hey Rob, can you explain:
Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics)
Beyond Omega Level: Icon (DC Milestone Comics)
Actually, Anakin and Palpatine would trounce exar kun, rule of two ensured sith would get stronger and stronger as time went on, with Palpatine being the magnum opus of the sith, wouldve been anakin but the psychological damage done by losing to obiwan stunted him heavily, anyways Exar Kun wasnt anything special compared to nihilus and nihilus wasn't anything compared to Revan, i get what youre saying though, its just that the sith really matter to me
It'd be better if he quoted Kreia instead, how she stated that they paled in comparison to the Sith Lords of old, like Tulak Horde.
@Baked Goods pretty sure that statements applies to the triumvirate and not Revan or Malak tbh

I’m sorry to anyone who thinks thanos is beating Bor. Thanos can hit hard but you better swing with god like power to beat Bor. please read Fear itself if you don’t believe it.
If it was power to power, Bor would body Thanos. But Thanos is one of the smartest characters ever in Marvel, up there with Reed Richards. Bor doesn't know technology as it exists in times Thanos has lived through. Thanos is a master tactician. He's gone into a lot of fights as an underdog and walked out with the win due to the arrogance of his enemies.
Has to be deaths first avatar as it's in motif to past Thanos lore and a time paradox that caused Thanos to fall in love with death.

How many Infinity stones does the Marvel universe need; 🤔 Pretty soon the Infinity stones are going to be like a bag of Skittles candy. Every villain and hero are going to have their own set of Infinity stones. Lol
Thanos is a favorite character but he definitely loses to Bor.. I think you forget Thanos never really was shown to be superior to skyfathers. He's never been implied to be stronger then Odin even when they got into. Odin I feel is smarter via magic etc but raw power wise is weaker then bor..
Gonna have to disagree about the idea that Sidious is weaker than any ancient Sith. Lucas said he was the most powerful to ever exist and im going to my grave believing that regardless of what Disney says lol.
Bor > Odin, Odin > Thanos.

Nemesis was actually imprisoned within The Ego Gem and the other six Infinity Stones are the keys to break the seal to that prison which someone does because whoever holds The Ego Gem can be taken over by Nemesis
She committed Suicide and Became the Ego Gem (and her Body & Powers split into the 6 Infinity Gems)
She wasn't imprisoned
Well you can argue she imprisoned herself as the act of committing suicide is what caused her to get into the Ego Gem in the first place
Thanks wins, hands down. Speaking of Thanos Wins, even Thanos can’t kill Thanos.
if it was a bare knuckle throwdown, or even melee weapons, Thanos has no chance, if it was using mystical means and so on, Thanos has experienced a lot more and likely would find a way to win
Anakin and palpatine were stronger than every previous Jedi and sith and that’s canon. They just don’t have crazy feats because the majority of their media is show or live action TV. Harder to show impressive feats.
In the books Anakin is said to be so powerful that if he reached his full potential he’d be a force God. Palpatine created black holes with his hand in the old canon books too if you don’t want to look at “new canon”
A better comparison would be to compare the average Jedi or slightly above average Jedi at the time. Vs the previous Jedi. Largely speaking, the sith got more powerful each generation after the original rule of two because they preserved their knowledge.
Yeah, but see most star wars fans don't actually still consider Disney canon to be canon. A lot of are still very upset that they decided to nuke the lovely EU in its entirety. canon sith lords are absolute pincushions because they need to prop up Anakin, Palpatine, and even Luke (debatably) in power, and by extension makes the Sequel trilogy jedi seem like absolute gods/Quasi-starkillers in comparison.
Palpatine in the old continuity being able to create black holes was more to flex his expanse of knowledge he had taken from his old master. As palpatine knows of a *lot* of ancient sith magic trickery, although a vast majority of it he himself cannot do because he knows the Principals, but either doesn't know how to actually pull the powers off, or sees a majority of them as worthless/not fun and doesn't bother.
Anakin and Palpatine are indeed absolute jobbers compared to ancient sith. Palpatine both in EU and disney canon still tries to chase the powers of the ancient sith, but Disney trimmed off a lot of what the EU tried to do with Palpatine and his chase for power and deleted a large majority of the ancient sith teachings he learned/discovered over the years, in place of just keeping the 'soul transfer' power.
Its not even a comparison tho, luke even in his later years in the EU is more akin to a force demi-god then anything else. Anakin at his peak assuming he'd by alive and not cut up by that point would still probably pale in comparison to luke even in his later years.
Actually though, The EU also kind of explained the power problem between jedi/sith pretty well too, and disney canon to a point. The reason why the Jedi floundered and the Sith grew is not due to the rule of two. But because the Jedi associated power and strength with the allure of the dark side. Which is *partially* true, but not completely. The Jedi never taught people right and wrong beyond its association to the Dogma of being a jedi. Its why a lot of Jedi are kind of morally... one dimensional. At least before the fall of the Jedi anyways. This is also why the Grey jedi are vastly more powerful then the Jedi. They don't adhere to the Jedi dogma as religiously, so they have the freedom to expand and grow their abilities without the fear of the Jedi council branding them a criminal or beating the "growth" out of them for it being "too close to the dark side"
Mace windu is the only exception to this rule mainly because of Samuel L Jacksons interference in the writing room wanting Mace to be "more of a badass" rather then being another goodie twoshoes jedi. He is notably the only Jedi that we really know of thats in the order that is allowed to use more aggressive styles of combat that the Jedi ordinarily have banned because its a "gateway to the darkside"
The sith themselves grow more and more powerful because they are not chained by the Jedi dogma and have no restrictions on how they should learn their power. If anything, ironically the rule of two bottlenecks the growth of the sith. Because when the sith tribe was still a thing, they'd have to fight for dominance. Which means *everyone* is growing and expanding their power at their own rate to compete with one another. The rule of two bottlenecks the process dramatically because only the Apprentice has room to grow, while the master doesn't necessarily and instead focuses his own machinations, or as mentioned previously the Ancient sith teachings.
It can be argued the rule of two is what caused the Sith to basically weaken to the point that even the "weakest" of the ancient sith call them pale imitations of what they used to be, hopelessly chasing the coattails of their ancestors.
Borr >> Thanos Odin already proved to be over thanos
It’s Galactus sister
That’s the Death Stone, it can control the dead and raise the dead I believe. As for why it is depicted as a child I am not sure where they are going to go with that. Maybe it was too strong and he knew Thanos would so he contained it in the child who probably already had abilities or some sort of power that she could contain it
So basically a similar take on DC's Blackest Night story, with Black Hand & Nekron reviving dead superheroes with Black Lantern power rings 🤔
How would it be different from the soul stone?
The soul stone contains part of your soul, part of your essence. The death stone controls the physical dead i.e. making zombies
The Death Gem never showed this ability to resurrect the death
The Death Gem appeared 2 times only
1)The First Time it was an Illusion so I am not gonna count it
And
2)The Second Time it was in the Game Contest of Champions
It worked as an Anti-Thesis to the Soul Gem and it was used by Thanos to form the Anti-Infinity Gauntlet and become The Final Boss of the Game
See it’s strange but why does the galactus seed make more sense then the rest of the beings…I feel galactus seed and Celestials should tie in with one another

I would argue that it is Mistress Death, as while I'm not too familiar with when Bor lived, that prior to this child's birth, death was what we in the real world observe it to be, something that happens. And only at this moment is it focused to become a true aspect of existence in Marvel continuity being Mistress Death
maybe its nemesis herself or a shard of her
Bor would win, hands down! Odin smacked Thanos around without much effort, and Bor is at least as strong as his son. Perhaps even stronger.

I'd like to point out, but if there was another Infinity gauntlet in Odin's Chambers or whatever, that must mean there's more Infinity Stones, if the original gauntlet can hold six, and if we take a guess and say that the other Infinity gauntlet could also hold six that means there should be a total of 12 or more Infinity Stones

So do Franklin and Galactus merge to become the new multiverse Eternity, the new Living Tribunal or the new One Above All?
The insanity and lack of ideas from the house of ideas… Only to regurgitate Thanos, this time, broken away from its creator, Jim Starlin, and further falling into the GOKUization of Marvel
3:13 if what was said, is to be taken at his face, then bore is actually much weaker than Odin as is the new king Thor should be for stronger than Odin was. This is merely due to the energies that are inherited once the old king “passes on“, their life essences, enter into the descendants after they abdicate, and then multiply from there. I would not put any modern mythology of the new generation being weaker onto the storyline. (although since marvel has as its editors these days, all of the failed, pore dungeon, Masters, then, not following any logic to the story is highly likely.)
6:03 every time the channel starts to geek about Galactus and Franklin Richards, I have to remind everyone about the monkey wrench that Al Ewing and Joe Bennett created in the immortal hulk issue 24 and issue 25. Neither Franklin nor Galactus will make it. We know that Donnie Kates is taking his break on exhaustion trying to Trump that finishing Goku move of that series on who is ultimately the strongest character in comics, in spite of having both the MCU and the company totally behind him, and pushing up the power scales here.
I feel like this IS someone we've seen before, but NOT someone "obvious" like Hela or Mistress Death. I feel like it might be someone like a Phoenix Egg or something? Not sure. Definitely not someone like an Eternal, or anything like that.

I’m on team Bor on this one! Thanos is a savage but king Bor is more savage I’d have to say
I'd have to say Thanos would win as we've seen Thor kill Bor during Dark Reign. I don't think Bor was nerfed during the fight, but if you can find evidence to that he was I'll admit I'm wrong.
Was that the time Bor appeared basically out of nowhere, and then lost pretty fast? -if so, yes, I think we're supposed to forget about that fight.
But, I think Bor would win here, Thanos only has his naturally imbued ability while Bor has essentially his full resources. In truth, like all comic face offs, it depends on the situation, time of day, barometric pressure, the pattern tea leaves make in a cup, which character wiped with TP instead of using a bidet for their morning deuce, etc.
He did lose to Thor but it was Odin Force Thor. And Thor did comment that if he didn't have the Odin Force he would have been overpowered immediately by Bor. I believe Thor even said a blow that Bor struck him with would have killed him if he didn't have the Odin Force.
Thanos is definitely smarter and more tactical. But I think raw power goes to Bor.
Odin already beat Thanos strait up without much trouble he's potent but not Skyfather potent without amps. Borr would have killed normal Thor with his blows but Thor had Odin force. Borr>>> Thanos base
Fair enough folks, thought Thor lost the odin force after after his revival and the reconstruction of Asgard.
@@lukepage4562 What we all say means nothing, and I like Thanos as a character more, Bor is a big whatever.
Marquis of Death would destroy Thanos as well, but I give 0 trucks about Marquis of Death.
Thanos beats Bor -and MoD, illustrated by Alex Ross, I'd buy it.
why does art look so bad o_o 8:06 this is the new comics? wth? how people from the 80's and 90's drawing better than this.. they have all the tech and knowledge of the old.
Canonically Anakin and Palpatine were two of the most powerful force users ever and were mouch more powerful than ancient sith lords
Can we please get....
Grim Reaper(Eric Williams) explained
Rob Jefferson explained videos please 🙏🏾(not giving up)
.....Rob Corps I need your help like Lord Schnitzel
They are running Thanos, The Infinity Stones, The Phoenix Force and The Hulk into the ground with the same story lines👑
If your talking pure magnitude of forces Boar would win...If your talking 1 on 1....Thanos is essentially unbeaten
The 7th stone, It's CLEA.
The child is DOCTOR STRANGE ol Wife. Not HELA nor MISTRESS DEATH. Sum DR STRANGE shenanigans watch.
It seems as though whosoever decides they want to do anything (save my mom ((flash)) save Mary Jane ((Spiderman)) or make something happen, like make a new stone, travel to an alternate dimension, or time), they can make it happen so stories are good but seem to be getting predictable in their unpredictability.
I feel like I could say online “what would happen if Superman was actually a normal human and humanity was tricked into being some rando species in the universe that are pretty weak” but they’re actually cryptonian?
But it’s like the Truman show but legit, it’s Superman.
Kinna feels like they can do that.
Just start running out of ideas and build on stuff you made just being like “we’re about to tank. WHAT WOULD I WANNA SEE BEFORE I GO!?! Ayoooo…zombehs!! =DCeased.
Bohr created the universe in HIS dimension of Asgard where the planetoid Asgard exists. The Celestials created everything in the dimension of Midgard.
Supposedly the previously Galactus wiped out ALL life and then exploded making the big bang and creating the current universe, that's how it works, but Bor, Odin, the Dark Elves, (I swear I read somewhere that the Collector and the Grandmaster were too) (and I suppose there's others) are from the previous Universe, in fact Odin has seen two universes, so the previous Galactus couldn't have wiped out all life.
Regular No-Stone Thanos would get WRECKED by Bor!!! No doubt not even close!!
What a damn minute here, where is Phoenix and Galen storyline at. Do anyone remember or know about that small detail? Galactus background. C’MON MARVEL! Get the story right 😒
To be fair I think based on their individual powers Bor should beat Thanos. The child... well I think it's obvious. She is Infinity. The female opposite of Enterinty.
It's The Phoenix!
Also all pantheons (ETERNALS INCLUDED) have there own creation myths. Some pantheons have more than one even. Some myths can all be true at the same time. You'd have to be a 4th or 5th dimensional being to fathom how space and time can fold in such ways. Another thing some are just legends created from the imagination of mortals just like the gods themselves. So which can first the mortal chicken or the god egg.
