Great how it turned out with the hinds. Animals seem to have a sixth sense. You aren’t focusing on them, so they weren’t worried about you.

An older deer culler took me under his wing when I was 15 and changed my life I am now 72 and have had a life of hunting in our South Island wilderness meeting some hard men and seeing some wonderful country. Go hard young man.

Lowa tibets only boot to go with Jody, takes a couple of outings to get them moulded to your foot but you wont look back. They are a bit more expensive but worth it.

I would talk to the guys at gri sport and see if they set you up with a pair of crispi nevada legends. Show them this video and you could get them for free. Might be underestimating stag age by a year or 3. Some stop improving early also, like about 5-6, others get better for a few years more. If you were after meat & wanting to leave one for later or others, having a weaner there makes it a no brainer. There's plenty there

keep your boots on. put a plastic bag over them and wear them in your sleeping bag. not my idea I read they do that in places like Alaska
