Always enjoy watching your videos. I've watched this one a few times now, what a crack up. Thanks for making such a fantastic effort to film your adventures. Top quality and hugely entertaining. Thanks once again!
Another epic mission lads, got to say still great seeing the misses and mistakes, we all make them. Classic leaning the barrel on a tree/post, you wouldn't guess it makes such a big difference till you've done it. And a big congrats on the 10k!
Would hate to see that country get covered in them! Some of the surrounding peaks to the north looked covered in the bastards. Massive job to clear it all...
Thanks fellas, very entertaining, you guys are making memories together you will never forget, great mates great times etc, Keep it up guys I look forward to your next adventure 👍
Great adventure in awesome country, hard yards put in as well as rubbish weather, all in good spirits, well done. Fantastic quality video and well done with the drone shots. Even good cooks with perfect backsteak colour and plenty of veges., would`nt want to carry your packs though. Keep up the good work, great memories for you guys when you get old like me.
Still a few animals in the hills? most places are so over-run even the majority of khunters can't fail on public land. It doesn't make the outdoors a better place.
As good a hunting film as you'd find anywhere, wicked content fellas. Jealous aussie here envious of your incredible terrain, but geez it looks bloody hard going!
What a great adventure. You young fellas do a great job on your hunts, a little heart stopping at times traversing some of that terrain, you all got big balls. Look forward to your next trip. By the way, that missed shot on the chamois from the hut, never put pressure on the barrel, especially hard surface like wood or rock, as it puts the barrel harmonics way out of whack, that is why quality rifles have free floating barrels, had you put the stock on the wooden rest, I reckon you might have got a hit. Great stuff guys, keep up the great vids.
Awesome work team. As always putting in the hard yards and earning the results. Good entertainment! Keep them coming. Probably late but congratulations on 10K 👍👍
Awesome video and hunting adventures. Food for thought: One thing I’ve learned hunting in the Germanic countries is the protection of mother animals; regardless of the species. It’s actually a written law. Shooting a sow that is still nursing piglets for example, especially when done intentionally is not only considered unethical, but against the law. I fully understand that hogs are a nuisance in most areas of the world and in many areas it’s common practice to shoot every one you can, but taking out a mother will usually mean the young will suffer and die. I’m not trying to preach or criticize, but rather share a lesson that I, as an American learned in Germany. Happy hunting 🍻!
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 Lets hope you never cruelly deprive any rats, cockroaches etc from their beloved mummy. But don't hesitate to drop any female wild mammal pests if any credibility to the myth rec hunters contribute anything meaningful to indigenous ecological protection is expected.
Great stuff, guys. Please don't wait until there's a problem to switch to safer routes though? Couple places there looking real sketchy, especially with the wind and heavy packs.
What a mission! Hope the weather lets you into the west coast for a future one. Needs a few people with some strong legs and a good attitude to get up there and control the numbers a bit...
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 I was up the lambert tops a month ago, rugged as hell and seems like the animals didn't usually see people... All that central westland vertfest will be right up your alley
great trip, great film production and editing. New Zealand gives a lot of opportunities, enjoy it guys because here in Europe there is no such freedom with hunting and exploring the area. by the way, what caliber and type of weapon (light or varmint) do you use or recommend for such an expedition?
Thanks mate, kind words. We're bloody lucky over here! For our big game trips we take a .308 or .300 rem mag. For smaller game I'd suggest a .22 or .17 hmr
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 here in EU 308win and 30-06Sprinfind, 300Mag not usable because, you will not belive me, but we are allowed to shoot no longer then 200m according to formal rules, this rules forces us to a lot of paper works after every sucesfull hunting too.
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 in general, in the EU there are completely different rules, public land is divided into small areas, each area is leased to a group of several dozen hunters called a circle or a club. Such a club is obliged to pay compensation to farmers for damage to crops by wild animals, and it is also obliged to regulate the animal population according to a top-down plan. The financial inflows to the club come from commercial hunting, game acquired for game purchase or payments from hunters who take the game for their own use. That is why the hunter works a lot as an aid to the farmer and builds infrastructure for effective hunting around farmlands. We also hunt wild boar, or rather mainly at night with night vision and thermal imaging, ASF is spreading and the wild boar population is being reduced. Shooting a bull deer is a big expense for the average hunter. And so far from nature it all takes place. Each piece of animal is a lot of papers for hunting, buying, hunting clubs, district board - the head hurts, and when I watch your videos, I start wondering where I live??? How it is in NZ? Can I come and hunt on my own? DO I need any paper every sucesfull hunt?
@@andrzejszczepanik1770 As far as I know in NZ all you need is a firearms licence and a permit to hunt off public land which you can just download free. After that you are free to roam. No bag limits, no seasons, no paperwork and no requirement to take the meat even. All our game animals are introduced non native and have no natural predators thus they are considered a pest that needs management. Such a great resource.
I wish I had a couple of mates to hunt with - legends. Looks fun af.
Really enjoyed the banter and fun you guys are having

Which one 😂

Good effort guy's
mint vid you lot nice one
great video lads but i would like to ask a question about your packs are you using the tatonka bison 75L+10 or the 90L+10
On this trip we used the 90 + 10, for most hunts bigger than a weekend trip we use them 👍
Loved the Lost Crew shirt making the outing, would have smelt by the end?
Probably still does too!
How much weight in those packs lads? Looks rough.
Not entirely sure, probably somewhere around 40kgs by the end of it! The freezers are still looking healthy 👌
