Thank you for sharing your time with your mother with us! I lost my mom a couple of months ago, the loss is profound. She and I took charge of all the family get togethers and I miss that so deeply. It brings much joy to see you planning and cooking with your mother. I would give almost anything for one more party! ❤

Same here...my Mom passed 24 years ago this coming December. My Mom was a marvelous cook too & made the best pies.

I live close to my parents and I visit them often. Since the weather got better, I spend every Friday planning and preparing food for our weekend barbecue and it's a highlight of me week, cooking is my love language! And Becky inspired a lot of menu items :)

I love it when you and your mom are shopping together laughing and having a good time. My mom and I used to do that when I was so much younger. We even did it for a while after I first got married years ago. Then I went to work and then had a family. She’s passed now. I was remembering those times while I watched y’all. God bless!

My Mum had 4 babies in less than 4½yrs. 3rd in line, I seemed to be the only one that realised that Mum worked hard to care for us all.. I used to help cook and clean, while my siblings were off visiting friends.
I love how well you work together in planning and shopping. You go to such great lengths to make things that your whole family and friends will enjoy, instead of just going to Costco and buying a bunch of pre-made stuff.
Becky, you are so happy when you are with your momma. Not that you aren’t happy otherwise but it’s obvious that you love your mom and enjoy time together. That’s pretty incredible!

I started always parking next to the cart return when my babies were little and in car seats. Then I could put them in, unload the groceries, then put the carry away without leaving the back of the vehicle. It was even worth parking further away to me.

Another great way to make fruit salad is to just mix all your cut up fresh fruit with a can of peach pie filling. It’s not too sweet and makes the perfect glaze. I’m a Ga girl and I love collards! Didn’t know west coast folks ate them. Remember to rinse, rinse, rinse those collards!
