Another criticism I have is them cheaping out, while Tomy and classic trackmaster have a mechanism composed of multiple gears, Revolution has a mechanism composed of 2, A worm drive attached to a motor and gear attached to the axle.
I think the best standard Thomas out of all of them is the 2009 Thomas! It’s not a special variant or anything, but for an almost perfect version of a normal Thomas that’s my favorite! The darker shade of blue looks really good and reminds me of the darker shades in Season 5 and I think the 2009 Fisher Price Thomas did a better job at updating the face than the plarail Thomas even though it doesn’t have the white running board. There are a lot of versions of Thomas and I don’t know which one is the best overall, but anyways I really enjoyed the video!
The 2009 fisher price models are a combination of Plarail and HiT Toys. The details of the railing, boilers, and eyes are present and it still keeps the toy-like design by not coloring the running board.

the thing i like about the old tomy thomas is that it doesent have those spiky edges around the wheels, unlike the newer trackmaster where theres those spiky edges around the wheels that make it hard to roll the toy with your hand

Yes the 2022 mettalic one Is the anniversary one and I didn't include the tokoro ringing engines or early Tomy trains as they aren't *really* trackmaster or Plarail

I'm gonna be honest, the old TOMY Thomas with a completely red running board and unpainted eyes is just adorable to me. He's shaped like a friend.

Yeah, but to be fair to that, the original creator hated that he was an E2. he wanted a J 50, and that’s why he removed a lot of the E2like features.

I love the TOMY Ones. I mostly use the Free Wheeling Feature and They have more Details. EG Stephen’s Side Rods, Henry’s Side Rods.
