  • Crystal Wash from P&S Detail Products is a general strength industrial fallout remover that can compliment or take place of a general Iron Remover. In the video we discuss what it is and how to use it. It is great for not only decontaminating a car prior to ceramic coating but is also a great pre-spray to unclog a coating

    I got some a last week and i love it. It cleaned up some rims with deep brake dust stains and i sprayed n clayed with it. The car literally glowed afterwards. I dont know how ive never seen this product before but Jamie the Cleaner posted a short of it and i went to get some next day. 19 bucks a gallon too, cheap and very effective also super cool to watch the crystals form

      So if you are using crystal wash. You will need to clay BEFORE using this product?
      If you're not using this product and just using Iron Buster, then you clay AFTER?
      Why is this?
      Thank you

    I really wish you made a foaming rinseless wash that was thin. Absolute is good but I hate that it's so thick. Very hard to mix in the winter time.

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  9 місяців тому +1

      rock the bottle back and forth- don't shake. That will thin it out. For a rinseless to "foam" it would require a content of surfactants and those require rinsing.

    Wait a minute, you said to do an iron removal (iron buster) after you clay the vehicle... every single video I've seen or anything I've read says to do chemical decontamination before you clay the car... so wondering why you have a different opinion on that..or maybe the steps don't matter that much?

    I have an issue with Crystal wash. So I sprayed it on and waited for it to crystalize. I then washed it off and went to my contact wash. After i dried my vehicle. I noticed a few straky, splotchy areas on my paint. I have notcied this on a couple of occasions. Why did this happen? Was it a bad batch or an issue in general with the.process or your product?

    I mostly get heavy contaminated vehicles. In my area, we have tons of manufacturing, a sea port, and several large rail yards all creating lots of various contamination. The claying process is taking up a ton of time and probably costing me money in my details. If I use crystal wash as my pre wash and iron buster as my decon, what's your recommended p&s soap for foaming and bucket use? I currently use pearl and it's not enough. This is for my clients initial wash or uncoated client's cars. Once coated, I am having no issues.

    How does it iron removing abilities compare to iron buster and other dedicated iron removers? I assume much weaker given its price point?

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  9 місяців тому +1

      Crystal Wash is going to attack and remove other environmental fallout where as dedicated iron removers are only going to remove actual iron. Iron Buster should be used when iron particles are known or seen.

    I know automatic touchless washes are not ideal, but living in MN in the winter without a heated garage leaves few options. Do you think you could use Crystal Wash as a pretreatment before running through a touchless wash? Or do you need a contact wash to make sure all the product is removed?

    Buying some of this asap, saw it on Jamie’s channel, didnt realize its been around so long. But is this able to be diluted at all, and is this bad to let sit on paint in direct sun, til it crystalizes…like almost all other products shouldnt be used in sunlight

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  9 місяців тому

      We always best case recommend using in the shade, but when you have to use in the sun work smaller sections. Once crystal wash is dry and you can see the crystals go ahead and wash that area. While we used in direct sun in the video it was not terribly hot, maybe 75 degrees. so you will want to watch surface temperature more than anything

    I'm still a little confused about where this product really sits. If I still need a claybar to remove other embedded contaminants, and I still need an iron decon to remove the rest of the iron particles, wouldn't that in theory just make this estra work in an unnecessary step?
    I say that respectfully as I'm a huge P&S/TRC Fanboy, just kinda left with more questions than answers. I also live in Florida and do not have to deal with road salt so it's possible I just don't understand it's use case since I'm not in those environments.
    I'd imagine it would be a good in-between maintenance product though. Kind of like the Swift of the exterior world. Kinda the "Shampoo and Conditioner" combo product to get you by until you truly need a DEEP decon, possibly?

    • @PandSDetailProducts
      @PandSDetailProducts  9 місяців тому

      Generally speaking you wont need to use with clay bar, this was more referring to using a clay towel in say a wash/clay/seal process. You would only need to use a clay bar should you feel there is more severe contamination. I probably only pull out a clay bar 1 out of every 100 cars. I was more sharing where you can put it in, I certainly don't use all of that every vehicle. I use Crystal Wah to unclog, I only use Iron Buster if Iron is actually present.
