I had all these ingredients in my cupboard, so I went ahead and made a batch. My wife and daughter are big chai drinkers and they both love it! I don't usually drink tea but I love the way it smells.

Here in the UK you can buy it off the internet and I must try it here some time. Ironically my family always complain that I make dreadful tea. I protest and act hurt, but in reality they’re right. It’s like drinking stewed rubber with an aftertaste of despair.
Dushman is not a proper Hindi word, it is a Arabic or Turkish loan word in Hindi. The proper Hindi word for Enemy is Shatru. Both loan word and proper Hindi are in use, official language uses only proper Hindi words which are derived from Sanskrit.
Research about Sanskrit, you will come across Theory of Everything. Sanskrit is the mother of all languages, russian, romainian are closely related to Sanskrit.
It guess the origin is Persian and the same word is also used in Turkish. Since there were links/influence/conflicts between the Ottoman Empire and regions that are part of modern Romania, there are some Turkish words left in the vocabulary. And it is not very surprising that one of the words is dushman.

I do a similar one. I have not tried Saffron and Fennel. I use nutmeg in my masala. I will try your recipe. I put a wet cloth around the mixer jar so that the spices don't heat up, which I learnt from a Michelin Star Chef video, not sure if it makes a difference but I do it anyway, just to be a little classy :)

When you grind black pepper and cloves like that, the heat generated evaporates the oil present in them which has all taste, smell and effects. So if you drink chai occasionally you can grind them fresh while making with mortar and pestle. It takes less than a minute. Same with ginger. The fresher the better. I just ordered a chai spice from Spicewalla called chai masala for tea. I am going to attempt to make the tea like I have seen on the videos I have watched. I love coffee but I also love tea and with all of the milk in it. Perfect
I like this masala. Most are too heavy in cinnamon and cloves for my taste, and a lot of people put in so much masala you cannot really taste the tea. This recipe fixed all those problems.
