Thank you so much! This video has been a lifesaver for me. The dryer wouldn't turn so I had to learn how to take it apart. The problem turned out to be a sock stuck in the intake. Preventing the motor from turning.

Thank you for the very helpful video. My parents had gotten used to running a load 2-3 times to get it dry. I cleaned the vent and found nothing (it had recently been cleaned), but taking apart the dryer I found lent all over the interior of the dryer, namely on the heating element itself (burnt black) and hairs/string/etc. wrapped around the shaft between the motor and fan. Of the two, I think the hair around the motor was impacting the performance more, but both were obviously huge concerns. The hair came off easily enough using needle nose pliers. Now it runs like new! Also, it involves heavy lifting but you can follow the steps in this video even if your dryer is mounted on top of your washer.

Mine had a power button that didn't pop up and down anymore. I removed the front panel as described in the video, then removed the 8 screws holding the white control box inside the front panel. I discovered that the actual button had snapped in 2 places - the springy "arms" that make tge button "bounce". I unclipped the button from the front cover, used super glue and baking soda to repair and reinforce the button, then re-installed everything. Works like new again!

Got a string stuck into the motor and hung all the way out to the lint catcher, thankfully all i had to do was take it apart until I got to taking the lint duct cover off, pull the string, then just reverse order back together! Loved this guide! Quick, simple, and easy!

Video was perfect because my bride left the filter out and the dryer sucked up a sock into the blower motor. Luckily she stopped the dryer because "it sounds funny".
Followed the video and lo and behold there was 1 sock. Removed everything, removed sock from blower housing, reinstalled everything and cleaned duct work ( it was apart anyway). Installed duct work fired it up and works perfect. Under an hour with the cleanup. Ps. when the warning says "SHARP" put gloves on.

If you have a Truesteam dryer like I do, the support bracket will be blocked by the plastic piece that the drawer slides into. I have no idea how to remove the darn thing. Also, the wires going to the front panel have no slack so I think one of the molex connectors needs to be disconnected on my model as well but the plastic disconnect you have to squeeze is right up against components soldered to the circuit board

I have Stackable Gas Dryer model DLG2251W, Its been great up until now, 8 years later.
It runs fine, but when the LG stackable lower washer is on spin cycle, the dryer above is making a loud vibration but contacting the LEFT Unit facing side wall. It seems like metal on metal noise.
The noise is NOT present when the dryer is on, ONLY when the washer is ON SPIN CYCLE.
The mounting kit looks inline, glue sealant adhered and front mounting bar and screws are tight.
When I put a level on top of stacked dryer, it shows tilting TOWARD the side of dryer making contact with side wall of unit and measures out of balance by only the thickness of a dime.
When washer on spin and dryer vibrating badly, when I press IN on the SIDE WALL of the FRONT LEFT FACING THE UNIT, the vibration nose stops. So I believe its an issue with the Dryer. Maybe something loose?
It’s a confined space and I could use any Diagnosis of what to look at before I struggle taking the dryer off as I am alone and it’s a confined space.
    Thanks

I didn't pay attention when pulling the drum out. Is there a front and back to the drum? Can it be installed backward?

My washer/dryer were sitting in storage for 3 yrs, and rats or mice chewed through the valve hose drain pump and drain hose. I’ve bought all the parts and didn’t think how they may have done damage to the dryer as well so we shall see

Good video! I probably need to clean the lint in the entire machine. I was wondering if I should also remove the back panel LG DLE6977S model. thanks.

+Robert Grlic There will likely be some lint that you can clean up by removing the rear panel.

Sooooo...., got no sound, no humming, no nothing when I engage the start button.
Seems my belt came off, and there is a safety switch that toggles the motor off if there's no belt tension.
Dissassembled, cleaned inside, and reassembled with no issue. Surprised not many other people come across this issue !?!

My LG has a self cleaning condenser. There’s a panel across the bottom of the front that I couldn’t find an screws for and I was unable to lift the front off after removing screws from top and around door. Eventually I held the sides of the bottom panel and pulled down and it unclipped, revealing two more screws. Hope this helps someone else.

What would be your first steps for a dryer that wont power on?
More info - The dryer worked fine before we moved. The moving company dropped it, putting a 'small' dent in the front right corner.
Now that it's here, when plugged in, nothing happens. I've already settled with the moving company, but if this is something I may be able to fix myself, I'll be happier just keeping the payoff and not replacing it.

How do you remove just the side panel to replace the rubber pipes that carry the water from the condenser to the water container above. I've removed all the screws but the panel is still attached by a few "clips" at the bottom

Hi, does LG sell a front panel replacement for the steam dryer DLEX4500B (without the door) ? The installer scratched and kinked the bottom right of the panel. Thank you!
