Thanks Jeremiah! This was a really good patch and we we’re the only people harvesting there so 3 flushes were overlapping at once, usually we are competing for ground a lot more. Most of the videos from our 2022 morels playlist are from the same zone on that wildfire.
@@northernwildharvest Yeah, nothing like falling and dumping a bucket of mushrooms. I keep my bucket on a strap, so that padding would also reduce chafing on my back
Hi folks. Very entertaining videos. Do you have dried morels to sell and ship to Colorado? I learned about you from Nicola White, the mudlarker in London. She recently said she had gotten some from you. I have never tasted them and I'd love to remedy that! 🤩
I’ve used both fancy ones (felcos) or a cheaper pair from Canadian tire for about $10 and they are just as good for mushrooms. They don’t need to be too sharp for morels, so less likely to cut yourself.
@@northernwildharvest thanks! just curious. I like the idea of foraging, grow your own... I saw Survival Lilly's video where she was "inoculating" logs with different spores. Austria. I do not walk very far carrying any weight 😕😎
Hahaha the nipple flipping on burnt wood. 👀🤣
Heh
holy shit! lol, I found some good patches of bout 200 a few times in my life. I'd get lost in the woods tryna pick all those, omg.
great video man!

Haven't found them like that in years. I have a few grow in my yard. Haven't picked buckets of them since was a teenager. Almost 60 now.
Thanks for another great upload, loving the series
Great videos. I like watching for new tricks and camping ideas. What's the sweatshirt material on the bucket rim for?
There's a drawstring in there so it closes up. Allows me to fit more mushrooms in my bucket and keeps them from falling out when it's fully loaded.

Glad you like our videos! If you send us an email at Northernwildharvest@gmail.com we can discuss dried morels.
Thank you for another entertaining video. Do you ever cook with Morels while in camp?
Yes we will show cooking some morels along with some other wild harvested food in a coming video! Will try to show more of that next season.
I'm on my way! I got a bottle of water and a empty fifty gallon barrel on wheels. Theirs no fence on the Canadian border...right?
Haha! No but our gas costs will break the bank even for a barrel on wheels!

Are those just regular secateurs or fancy pruners??

@@margueritemitchell1829 for certain types of mushrooms inoculating logs is definitely the way to go! 🙂
