Hi Mark, Your preset pack looks great but would it design for LR only, or would it be any possibility to alter to use in Affinity Photo or On1 Photo Raw that I switch years ago. Thank you.
I recently crashed my Mini 2, damage estimate is around £200 to £300 for repairing it. Currently trying to debate whether or not to repair or upgrade. Mini 3 Pro extra sensors probably wouldn't have saved me in this crash so don't think I need them, but the Mini 3 camera being not much more of an improvement over the Mini 2 in terms of the sensor being 12mp, has me wondering if it's worth the upgrade to the Mini 3 from the Mini 2
I'm definitely contemplating getting one mainly for the controller having a pre built screen. No more losing the use of your phone because it's hooked up to your drone it just makes sense. Can't wait to get some shots on dartmoor and Scotland when I visit family

Great video. I love my mini 2 and Air 2 s. I'm just waiting for the mini series to get 20 + mp and 120 FPS. That will be my next mini. May never happen, but look at phone cameras.
I just purchased it today, and yes it is so silent, we tested inside of the dji shop in the shopping mall and the people passing by did not notice a thing
THANKS! Very Helpful video 🙂 I've had my Mavic Mini for 3/4 years. I often get the 'itch' to upgrade but never the need. Although I do miss being able to track objects. Perhaps I'll take a look at the 3 Pro before deciding it's not needed this time!! He he
i'm still rocking the mavic mini 1 too, excellent little drone, serves its purpose so well, yeah it might not have all the bells and whistles newer drones have but shooting at 2.7k and getting those shots in the first place is more than enough for me as a casual user of the drone. Couldn't see myself upgrading until maybe the mini 5 or something when it will be and well truly worthy upgrade. Sticking with this for now.
Great video I'm just waiting for my mini 3 flymore to arrive. I sold my mini 3 Pro a couple of weeks ago and missed it. Dji then released this little beast. For me sensors were not needed. I purchased the mini 3 with dji rc and flymore kit for 678 too .. mind blowing I couldn't say no.
Nice one. I'm currently thinking about buying one myself. But I'm not sure wether it's worth paying 50% more than I would for a Mini 2 (currently 499 vs 769 EUR for the Fly More Combos). Actually, I'd rather have the Mini 3 Pro because of the better specs, but that one costs even more. Any suggestions?
I have a pro so may be a bit biased but imo It really depends on how “beginner” you really are with drones, if it is practically your first decent drone you will appreciate the sensors on the pro, but if you have been flying drones for a few years you will barely use them and might be better off with the extra 5-10 mins of flight time the mini 3 offers, my biggest concern for new pilots would be RTH without sensors could be really scary, you could set it low altitude and the drone might hit an object on its return path, inversely you could set it up high but if there are trees over head or its under any object it wont know and will just fly up at top speed into whatever is above the drone on its way to RTH height. I personally wouldn’t even attempt to use the RTH on the mini 3 unless in a super open area, which kind of defeats the purpose.
@@grumpyaustralian6631 I'd say "very beginner"... Had a RTF micro drone years ago and also a Blade MQX, but I guess those are not what you would call "decent"... It would be my first decent drone and a test wether this is a new hobby for me or not. Don't want to spend > 1000 EUR just to find out that it's just unpracticable (no place to fly legally) or boring. But on the other hand I really like the improvements to the camera, especially the one of the Pro model. My current plan is to wait a few weeks until after christmas to see how the price of the Mini 3 develops. She has just been released and almost nobody gives a discount on the MSRP
Dude how can mini 3 cost 50% more at europe?in my country (indonesia) mini 2 combo cost Rp 9.500.000 or 660 usd and the mini 3 flymore kit plus(with 51minute battery) with dji n1 cost just Rp.11.650.000 or 800usd and around 720 usd with fly more kit (38minute battery) so just 60 dolar different im thinking to upgrade from the original mavic mini

And tbh I wouldn't even be I interested in the mini 3 at all since I have the mini 2 but damn that flight time with the extended battery 😮.
The difference in flight time between the Mini 3 and the Mini 3 Pro is because of the sensors in the Mini 3 Pro - that's according to the DJI official store here in our area in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga - and I think, they are correct.

The mini 3 is running less sensors, of course the battery last longer; it also loses a lot of features like A-pass as well as active track, it’s a great entry drone but not better than the pro.
@@harshajayagopal5659 hmm I have both and I’m noticing a difference in H.264 .MP4 versus H.265 .Mov Cinelike. And you can do a lot more with 60 FPS for slowing down shots and of course even more with 1080p at 120fps. But if you aren’t using any of those features then I’m sure it’s no problem.

@@rogerhalt3991 My main reason for wanting to swap it is weight. I notice myself not taking my drone cause it's too heavy together with all the other camera gear.
unless your using it for professional work, the 12mp and 48mp diffrence will be hard to spot
@@SightseeingStan Fair point, it's a lot of extra baggage to carry around.
@sight - don`t swap it - M2P is jewel while this is...well, mistake
What card would you suggest for this unit? I know some have better quality and faster speeds. Thanks. Great video.
Very good review. I was daft enough to get conned by the drone X pro ads. They put me off drones. This looks like a real winner!
Props to the camera man for flying with the drone
Love the content. FYI 16 metres per second is actually around 36mph
Faster than my 50cc moped
main thing i want to know about is the reception. i have an old phantom 3 pro, connection is flawless and even when not in line of site. i then got the mavic air, the reception as soon as its out of site is absolutely terrible!! constant disconnects. how is this one?
I just received mine and the first 2 things I noticed is it is QUIET and because of its light weight it is nimble, I like it! I have a mini 2 that I like but I really wanted the RC controller for the built in screen.
Ooooooooo a DJI mini could well be in future! So much punch for something so small.
Men's Grand Trek™ Down Jacket ? May I know the size ?
The scenery is spectacular, especially the dusk and evening shots. The mini 2 has just dropped where I am, but this looks a good choice for my 1st drone.
The mini 2 is great, I’ve had one for 2 years. No problems!
Thank you Mark, fantastic info. for someone who is thinking of buying a decent, budget friendly drone, cheers for that Mark. Love from Ireland
many thanks for the review - I appreciate your straightforward style, with a focus more on content than superlative use :)
keep up the good going :)
Fun fact, this video is actually so good. I’ve seen it pirated on TikTok trying to sell knock off drones. You know at least snippets of it
Loving the shots! Best budget drone indeed!
Perfect!👍 Just bought the mini3.
Great video! I was going to go for this one, but I can't believe there is no Active Track! Will have to go for the Pro now...
this is just what i needed 😎
Interesting you picked up on it being quiet, that's a real draw for me... Personally find it really annoying when you're trying to enjoy a view somewhere and there's a drone flying round sounding like a swarm of angry wasps, so being quiet would mean I'd feel happy flying it more places (as well as the
Damn, those landscapes in the beginning of your vid are incredible!!
Go for the pro man. Its hella impressive🔥🔥
Jus buy the mini 3 there’s like little differences for the pro but idk if it’s worth 200 more
I'm definitely contemplating getting one mainly for the controller having a pre built screen. No more losing the use of your phone because it's hooked up to your drone it just makes sense. Can't wait to get some shots on dartmoor and Scotland when I visit family
Great review! Thanks for clear explanation between this and the pro version. I think i will go with the pro but still think the mini 3 is very, very good.
Glad it was helpful!
I almost bought the mini 3 Pro a while ago but will consider this one now as well. Fewer restrictions in the Philippines at this time.
😂
I don’t own a drone currently and had not considered one until a photo friend told me how much fun he was having with his and he showed me some shots he had taken with it. Your video was very helpful to tell me more about it. I must say I am intrigued.
I have the OG mini. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Mini 3.
Great video. I love my mini 2 and Air 2 s. I'm just waiting for the mini series to get 20 + mp and 120 FPS. That will be my next mini. May never happen, but look at phone cameras.

i have the exact same 2 drones , in no hurry to change , they're superb
I just purchased it today, and yes it is so silent, we tested inside of the dji shop in the shopping mall and the people passing by did not notice a thing
THANKS! Very Helpful video 🙂
I've had my Mavic Mini for 3/4 years.
@@mac8669 Agree!!!
Just bought one. It's an upgrade from my first one, a yuneec. Thanks for the info. DJI website videos are useless!
Nice, just bought the DJI mini 3 pro RC n1 £599 new can't wait to use it over Christmas 🔥👌
Where from please?
@@spatialpro carmarthencamers, 19 in stock ordered mine it come next day delivery 👌
Thanks for the tip! Just bought one too from there. Hopefully they don’t use Royal Mail
@@gakvin98 cool, DPD mine come with best price on line 👌.
Could tracking be added in a software update? I'm looking for a small drone, but it has to have tracking.
Great video. Thanks for the overview of the mini 3. Very helpful.

Super curious, if this was turned on and thrown off a balcony, would it stabalise itself then fly? or just hit the ground?
Great video I'm just waiting for my mini 3 flymore to arrive. I sold my mini 3 Pro a couple of weeks ago and missed it. Dji then released this little beast. For me sensors were not needed. I purchased the mini 3 with dji rc and flymore kit for 678 too .. mind blowing I couldn't say no.
Bonjour, où l'a tu acheté pour 678. Merci

Just picked up. Brand new mini 3 with RC controller for £400 on eBay with discount. Great value and for a casual user more than enough
She has just been released and almost nobody gives a discount on the MSRP
youtube.com/@indianpigeon.2588
Dude how can mini 3 cost 50% more at europe?in my country (indonesia) mini 2 combo cost Rp
9.500.000 or 660 usd and the mini 3 flymore kit plus(with 51minute battery) with dji n1 cost just Rp.11.650.000 or 800usd and around 720 usd with fly more kit (38minute battery) so just 60 dolar different im thinking to upgrade from the original mavic mini
Mini 2 is a very decent drone and budget friendly too.
I’m flying since Dji spark time and then moved to mini 2 about a year and half ago.
Will recommend to buy with fly more package.
If your looking for a budget drone I recommend the DJI mini 2 or the DJI mini 2 se. Fantastic little drones.
Nitpick: The Mini 2 camera CAN tilt up, just not as much as the Mini 3 Pro or Mini 3.
Your expert insight and perfect explanation convinced me. Thank you!
It’s not a drone man myself but if I was I would be convinced to buy one very good to talk with you as always thanks very much Mark much appreciated keep up the good work❤
Fantastic video, thank you Mark. Just starting my drone journey, so a quick question. I'm getting this drone with the RC controller, so no need for my phone for flying. That said, what happens when I'm somewhere remote without any cellphone signal, will I still be able to fly the drone?
Own a phantom 3 Special Edition and have been on the fence about getting either the Mini 2 or 3. Definitely leaning towards the 3 after this video, what a deal!

I rather buy mini 2 and have money left for avata
@@TheMiloking bought the Mini 3 and am loving it
@@chrisgarret3285 iam sure its great, i definitely want to try avata at some point so better value was mini 2 for now..Especially since was not going to buy the pro controller
@@TheMiloking true. I needed the controller though as the Phantom 3 SE one is different. I will say I'm hugely disappointed in Litchi VR app though (or DJI). The Mini 3 Pro and the 3 are the only two DJI drones not supported by Litchi for VR due to some software compatibility issue. Mini 2 is supported... Don't know what I'll do for VR.
Might be a dumb question but how’s the sound? Or would you need to do voiceovers?
With our doubt I will upgrade my mini to the min 3 pro, its worth the extra cash and does everything. Great review subbed you and thanks
Just purchased one. Thanks for the info great review 10/10
Agreed. Literally the only feature I wanted in the pro was left out; the zoom capability.
Wait the pro doesn't have zoom?
@GamerMarine89 it has up to 2x zoom and the quality at that point isn't great. But it's there
Yep I was hoping for atleast double the zoom capabilities of the mini 2. Seeing as the mini 3 and the pro have the exact camera and zoom functions I might aswell just grab the mini 3 base model. And tbh I wouldn't even be I interested in the mini 3 at all since I have the mini 2 but damn that flight time with the extended battery 😮.
Really good video and you just have a way of captivating a viewer...well done!
Thank you very much!
The difference in flight time between the Mini 3 and the Mini 3 Pro is because of the sensors in the Mini 3 Pro - that's according to the DJI official store here in our area in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga - and I think, they are correct.
Nice review Mark! I have a brand new Mini 3 and a 2-years-old Air 2, they work just the way you explain. The Mini 3 is almost soundless! Best regards from Argentina!
The mini 3 is running less sensors, of course the battery last longer; it also loses a lot of features like A-pass as well as active track, it’s a great entry drone but not better than the pro.
That’s why it’s called the mini 3 nkt 3 pro, it’s not meant to be, and honestly for production they are extremely similar
@@harshajayagopal5659 no joke?
@@Andyrewk yeah for production purposes they are legit the same thing, unless your using photos, the video is identical
@@Andyrewk yeah true I forgot abt those, but let’s face it professionals are gonna buy the regular Mavics, only beginners and content creators are gonna buy these drones and for them all those features are not important, except for the extra fps for slowmo
Which is the very best drone for a newbie that’s under 250g please.like everything added up
Let me translate it: Basically a DJI mini 2 with HDR/Portrait/Angle Camere. Which are offered at a STUNNING OVERPRICED cost. I don't need them, I need what has the PRO but is WAY too expensive for a casual user.
it always baffled me that DJI put vertical shooting on the freaking mavic pro ONE, and dropped it for the 2 all the way until now.. like why? it was one of my fav feature of the mavic pro 1.. glad it's back though
Mini 2 could do 20 degrees of upward shooting
Ikr, sad these UA-camrs have no idea what they are talking about
Thank you friend. Amazing video. I definitely am very excited about my mini 3 coming soon . You answered all my questions.
Great to hear! Enjoy it when it comes!
