Great video. Really enjoyed you presentation style. You have thrown a spanner in the works, though! I was about to push the button on an RC-N1, and I'd have gone for it were it not for that pesky single shoulder control dial! Everything else I think I can live with, but not being able to control the gimbal and zoom in/out at the same time just seems a limitation too far for me. I'd also like to be able to zoom without taking my thumb off the left stick.
Man!I I can't decide what to do....The MINI 2 is such a good deal right now but the Mini 3 with DJI-RC seems like the logical way too go but is double the price!
@@DK-vh3gk I can't speak to the Mini 2/3 difference, but I can say that after owning my Mini 3 Pro with RC-N1 for just a few days, I'm already kind of wishing I'd stretched myself to get the RC! I reckon it would be worth £150 extra just to never have to set up the controller before a flight again! Also, I suspect the RC is quite a bit nicer in the hand - the N1 is the same weight but when you add a smartphone it is heavier and, more importantly, becomes less well-balanced in the hand, so your hands get a little bit more preoccupied with holding the controller level rather than concentrating on operating the controls smoothly. That said, it's not a bad experience by any means and I'm having a lot of fun - plus I bought a 3rd party tablet mount so I can also fly using my 10" iPad which looks incredible! On the subject of the lack of independent gimbal and zoom controls on the RC-N1: you can get round this using one of the automatic subject tracking modes so that the gimbal manipulation is taken care of for you while you manoeuvre the drone and control the zoom manually, and that will probably yield smoother results anyway, so I'm not too bothered about that any more. Also, I don't know where you are but the Mini 3 is hardly any more expensive than the Mini 2 from the DJI Store in both the US and UK right now, it's only the RC option that makes the Mini 3 more expensive. So if I were you I'd be choosing between Mini 3 with or without the RC controller, but I don't know what other deals you've seen.
@@BenCapewell Hey man thanks for your feedbacl! I am in Canada, I am actually now leaning towards a MIni 3 Pro simply because of the Obstacle avoidance and Mastershots features. Just sucks because the Mini 3 is on sale right now in my area and so I am looking at $400cdn more for the PRO... The sale ends by midnight tonight so I need to make a decision...The Mini 3 is good but not sure good enough for what I Want
@@DK-vh3gk Yeah it was the same in the UK, annoyingly, no promotion on the Pro. But I also wanted the Mastershots feature, higher max ISO and extra safety features so I'm less likely to crash it! I think the additional automonous flight modes in the Pro will be good for video quality as it'll move the drone & gimbal much smoother than you're likely to able to yourself. And it has more control/video range and lower latency. I'm sure you won't regret it! Just try to get the integrated RC if you can stretch to it!
But with the built in screen you don't have a bunch of features such as the maps, and instant download to your phone for sharing, etc. And the phone boots up far, far faster.
With the standard battery you flew higher with the rc-n1 than you did with the rc and you flew a longer distance with the rc-n1. Your reading are not accurate with the standard battery for both remotes (12:56). Going higher in altitude always increases the antenna signal. 5263 m rc 5239 m rc-n1 interstering findings 🤔
Does the N1 accommodate a 10-inch tablet and if so, does the case have to be removed? Great video. I was looking at both options to use a tablet at home and RC on the road. But DJI does not sell the N1 controller standalone. Great video very well done.
I use an iPad connected to the RC controller via a USB to lightning cable 3 feet in length. The iPad is shaded from the sun in an open travel bag whose strap goes around my neck and one shoulder. I do look rather suspect staring intently into a travel bag, but most of my flights are Litchi waypoint missions launched from my front yard.

All my content will be uploaded to either UA-cam or Social media so want to get the best possible footage and being new to flying, I think the PRO is the way to go for me.
I'm still scared to drive my mini 3 out of sight. But you went 3 miles out 😮
But with the built in screen you don't have a bunch of features such as the maps, and instant download to your phone for sharing, etc.
No way. My S22 Ultra I need to remove the case.
An IPAD to the RC controller. DJI says only the RC pro can output to a external display.@@riverbankfisher
Will i be good to go to record 4k60fps with KINGSTON Canvas Go Plus card or did i ordered wrong micro sd card?
my mini 2 drone lost signal after 1 km distance and thought i lost it then suddenly appeared over my head lol 😆
very impressive and informative range test for both controllers! i assume you are still operating on CE mode being in asia? cheers!
@renerjose4753 if you check out the about page, you'll find he is in Australia. Therefore we use the FCC model not the CE model
Do you amazon link for the drug scale?
Can you get pictures and videos to your phone without hooking it up for both of them?
Hello, I am looking to see how can I make my RC-N1 Active track with mini 3 pro?
