Thank you for mentioning the part about the hips! I want to love Patagonia gear so badly but they really don't design things for people with bigger hips and it's always sized oddly when it comes to hips.

Honestly! See some jackets I can barely get them over, and then if I size up it’s drowning me 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have this in a L and Xl, I find that it is snugger in the hips. I tend to wear my North Face one more as it is more generous in the hips and bust🙂

I liked the nano but not in winter tbh. In snowy weather was useless although was promoted for climbing snow filled mountains.

Would this be a good jacket to bring to the Isle of Skye / the Highlands of Scotland at the end of June? Or would it be overkill / too warm.

If you are lucky with the weather the material (for me anyways) isn't fun to sweat into, BUT depends on the weather really, I wear it in Scotland as a base layer with a long sleeve top underneath for running because its not overwhelming but enough to keep me warm when I start to cool down after my run

it is self packable, so if looking to do a walk or hike in it and find yourself sweating to death, at least small enough to pack away!
