So many scenes in this movie that will make you cry but to me this scene is the most poignant. Her look when she hears Garrett call her name, his unease at the top of the stairs at first, then their embrace and true to her nature her line "Who would have thought that you'd be a nice guy?". Such a moving scene.
For some reason, Garrett showing up at the hotel for Aurora is the scene that gutted me the most. It's just so beautifully played and hints at a deep, continuing connection despite their break up. Before that dreadful sequel was released, I always liked to imagine that Garrett became a surrogate father for Aurora's grandkids, and that they eventually ended up together.

i can’t watch the scene with her kids.i know it’s just a movie but the soundtrack completes a masterpiece.
I cried too..when Shirley Maclaine cried hugging Jack Nichloson at the staircase🥲🥲🥲
That smile of Jack's is insane. It oozes an absurd amount of self-confidence. 😁
Well, so what, he's happy he arrived, PEOPLE 😂
As a grown man, I cried viewing this scene in the movies. I cried again just now watching it...
Jack’s a total badass in this scene
Only Nicholson could make an entrance like that…
Deserved his Academy Award, as did Shirley
@@dnasty312Absolutely…
There will never be another Jack Nicholson! He’s simply one of the greatests!
The chemistry between them 🔥

This scene always made me cry… he loved her and WAS a good guy
The thing is just because someone loves you , doesn't mean they fit in your life. They did genuinely connect, that's love however long it may be
This scene kills me every time!
This scene makes me cry to this day
Me too. Every single time! Dammit, out of kleenex!
And me 😢😂
"Wel- i don't know what else to say except my answer. I love you too. " Aww, my mom's favorite😅😘 Just half reply of this, please
Happy Birthday, Jack, I still idolize you, Sir!!!!!!
I'm also so happy you are retired and happy with your grandchildren!!!!
Where was this scene filmed? It looks so similar to a place from my childhood (I know it's not the same one though)
I want to know where this place was located because this hospital has a hotel next to it...how beautiful..
Most Hospitals do have a motel or hotel next to them
@@joshmorgan407 but wth a pool included too
This scene was was filmed at a Holiday Inn Holidome hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska. - ua-cam.com/video/LkCaSHKC8HY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
