The building you discovered is the abandoned coast guard station on Hurlestone Point, overlooking Porlock Bay, in West Somerset. Bossington Beach is composed of Mill Stone pebbles (a type of tough sandstone). I have seen Adders, Slow Worms and other Lizards on Hurlestone Point, and I once saw a Grass Snake by the river near the woods. Very common to see Peregrine Falcons patrolling the coast near the coast guard station.
I didn't know that Exmoor National Park existed until your video. Seems like a nice getaway. I enjoyed the video and the cameo appearance of the cat. Looking forward to more videos :)
I have absolutely adored your England series! It has been my favorite of any travel vlogs I follow (and I follow quite a few!). So lovely seeing your gorgeous country (my favorite) through the eyes of people who live there!❤🇬🇧🥰 Cheers!
Oh wow 😮thank you so much!! That comment really means a lot! We've had such a fantastic time making this UK series.. it's truly made us fall in love with the UK. Thanks for the support! 😊
Liked your video before I watched it👍😊 Absolutely beautiful coastline. Love the line...if there is no sign, then you can climb👏 Just like, if there is no name, then it’s fair game✌️ You both are adorable😊😊 Thank you for sharing🤗
That black sand? Pebble? Beach looked interesting. I didn't spot any seaweed washed up or anything. Maybe you were too far away. Another lovely video! Have a great rest of your week.
I think it must be rocks/pebbles as you could hear the noise of the waves moving them from the top of that hill! Such a nice surprise - I've never seen a black beach before! :)
Who urinates in an abandoned building when there’s open countryside!!!!???? Haha! Your vlogs keep getting more amazing! Love your banter and your relationship with one another. Wishing we were tagging along with you for this incredible adventure! You make everything we’ve read about the coasts in England and Wales come to life! Smiling watching you enjoy!!! Safe travels
Stunning beach! Never been to exmoor. £45 to get into a castle seems mad to me once you have seen one castle you have seen them all surely. Always thought the transpenine trail was the longest path but I stand corrected
That defensive structure would make a great house, probably see it on 'Homes Under the Hammer' in the near future. A Slow Worm is actually a lizard, albeit a legless one, it has Eyelids unlike a snake.💋💋👸🧔
Never mind. I googled it and found it. Please, beans, fix your stuff so it is easier to find. 😁 I am sure there are more of us out there who want to support you.
Oh yeah! Thanks for pointing this out! We usually leave it in our description but it looks as though it didn't get put in this one! Thanks so much and welcome to the BEAN TEAM!! :)
Exmoor National Park is a great palace that i know in England, hello, how do you do? I'm from Indonesia, i very like all of about england, the best a country.
Sorry what do you mean? in this video or ever? We are in Exmoor here so we can't be somewhere else lol. Also there are 1000's of places in the UK we can't physically go to all of them.

You guys are making me homesick for green England!
Aw, we know the feeling.. it's easy to forget how beautiful the UK is, especially in the spring/summer 😍

Basalt, not coal slag like the Northumberland beach in 'Get Carter'.

Out here we have some rocky/pebble beaches. I love the sound of them as the waves roll in.
What a beautiful place! Thank you for sharing!

Not a defensive building, it was a Coast guard lookout. Editing is a bit out of sequence.
Another great video!! Thanks for sharing!
Me and my Mrs are going to Minehead for the weekend next week, we plan on driving through on the way back to Swindon
Love❤

Agree re entrance fee for a castle. I assume it isn't National Trust?
I'm afraid it is!
Isn't it?! Had no idea we had black beaches here! Amazing..
Again the sea is all conected it one sea !.
