This was based off of the TV show "Police Squad", that stared Leslie. I really hope you'll look into it! You might want to also check out "Forbidden Planet" with a younger serious Leslie. Thank you two for the laughs. I needed them.
Police Squad only lasted a few episodes. Most of the jokes were reused in the first two Naked Gun movies because of it. If you've seen the movies you've seen the sitcom.
Red pistachio nuts. I guess there's a lot of people that don't remember the red dye on the shells that made your mouth red (a green nut inside the red dyed shell).

Saw this in theater. I thought I made a big mistake. Had both hands over my mouth, trying not to laugh out loud. I could not breathe, so I let go and burst out laughing, REAL LOUD! A moment of the most embarrassing silence in the theater, then EVERYBODY just let go! Everyone just started laughing like a maniac! I went back for a second showing just to experience that again! You know, I've seen some reactors somehow not get that The Princess Bride is a comedy, which is extremely embarrassing, but to not get that The Naked Gun is a comedy? That's a friggin' miracle.
I think they figured out it was a comedy by the leaving the microphone on scene. I've seen worse, I've seen reactors not figure out the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies were comedies.
"He mind controlded her. That's scary!" My old English teacher would be thinking the exact same thing :D And Tori you were right on cue with the practice safe s... lol your faces lol You guys are the best, thanks for a wonderful reaction!
I love the ending scene so much, because when I, a Finn, lived in the US (California, no less!), in 1992-1993 I actually got a chance to go to a Dodgers baseball game with my classmate and his parents. So it really reminds me of those days, "Dodgers dogs", the "Dodgers Teddybear" I bought and the shear size of the stadium and the frenzy of the fans. God I loved that. Ewan, you and your folks were the man, the myth and the legend! I still love you man.
Nice to see Tori again, she's looking very well :) Loved Toy laughing and OMG's. Great film, so funny, Don't forget to try "Dracula, Dead and Loving it" sometime. RIP Leslie, you were great, thanks for the laughs.
19:22 One of my favourite scenes is so easy to miss. When they are at the police station. When they change rooms Ed and the gadget guy walk through the door while Frank just walks next to the set.
Starting at 47:30 The Vaseline and sand paper are to doctor the ball by altering the surface and hence aerodynamics of the ball. That’s cheating in baseball, but some pitchers try to get away with it. When you throw the ball really fast, a doctored ball will make weird movements that makes it harder for batters to hit the ball.
The "killer" that was in the outfield for the Angels is none other than Baseball Hall Of Famer Reggie Jackson. Great reaction ladies! Continue to do your thing. Definitely check out "Police Academy" or "Black Dynamite" next. Stay beautiful always.✌🏾❤️💯
In the baseball scene it shows Frank examining the pitcher and finding sandpaper and a grinder as well as Vaseline. These are all items at pitchers used to cheat to get a better grip on the ball. And the joke in the scene was Frank didn’t care what he found and so he let the baseball pitcher stay in the game when it would be an automatic ejection from the game and possibly a fine by Major league baseball.
When I was 10 years old, my godfather gave me an "American Express" towel which I dubbed "the dollar towel". So the fact that Frank got the best lockpicking results with that particular brand, makes me happy. To this day I have that towel and aside from a few holes, even after more than 30 years, the colors are still just fine. So it is for sure a quality product.

Nowadays we get them from California using better methods so there was no reason to dye them anymore.
His hair was less white and more silvery in the 1970s when he was in an Episode of Columbo. Before these comedy movies like Naked Gun and Airplane he was a very serious actor.

These movies actually started as a TV series called Police Squad where they were spoofing all kinds of old cop shows (most famously Dragnet) and it also starred Leslie Neilsen as Frank Drebin, George Kennedy and OJ Simpson. That scientist who came up with his weapons was also part of it (that was mostly a spoof of a similar character in James Bond spy movies), and Nancy Marchand was also there as their boss (I actually forget if she is the mayor, the DA, or the Police Commissioner). The really tall guy was also in it, with a similar joke every time with something being stuck in his mouth. The series had exactly the same type of humor (one memorable gag had them raid a strip joint and one of the strippers asks Drebin, "Hey! What is this? Some kinda bust?" and he answers, "Yes, it's very nice"). Unfortunately, the show didn't last very long, because audiences didn't quite know what to make of it, so they turned it into a movie, which led to sequels.

31:05 pistachio shells used to be dyed red. That was to hide the blotchiness and paleness of the uncolored shell. The dye would get on your fingers and your lips, and things you touched.

The ring and finger found in the "Dugout Dogs" was the killer who fell in the vat at the stockyard.
Loved the reaction ladies. You're both looking well !
What a legend. Top Secret! with Val Kilmer is my favorite Zucker film though. I name it as one the top ten funniest movies I've seen. One of those that every moment makes you laugh until you get physically ill films. Not to denote this. Their formula is just the best.
Mine, too! We’re also in very good company, because _Top Secret_ is Weird Al’s favorite as well. 👍
Awesomely fun reaction as always. Thank you, thank you.
Great reaction ! I like your duo.

Had a ton of fun watching this. 👍🏻
"Murder by Death" (1976) is a hilarious classic that'd be worth a reaction vid.
Great reaction 😎 This movie never gets old. Hilarious 🤣
I thought of them one of my favorites, the blues Brothers❤❤❤
